Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....
Caliente Dragons has not issued a refund. Paypal will not stand behind a bad purchase, nor will my bank. They have the rankins to resell and also my $400.
Their service policy states "We are committed to providing our customers total satisfaction. Every time."
Well it doesn't happen every time, so --BUYER BEWARE
 
I take it Jean and Wendy have not offerred to make you whole even though the payment was made on their behalf?

While I never thought Wendy was actually entitled to the refund based on her claims, once it was offerred it should have been honored.

It does surprise me that they are letting a friend who helped them out hold the bag on this one though

Buyer beware is so true with caliente dragons!

Anyone can write and post a very user friendly TOS, the integrity of caliente dragons was called upon to honor their TOS and what did they do? they ran and hid so far from their TOS even after they agreed to refund the customers money after they returned the dragons to them.

Definitely 2 thumbs down to the way caliente dragons handled this problem.:(

they should just give a refund they have the dragons even if they feel they dont have to they should its called morals i guess they dont have any since they kept the dragons and the cash
 
geez people you all know that this is over and done with. if a refund was going to be issued it would have been. bumping this thread up doesnt accomplish anything. if someone wants to search on them its quite easy to find. no reason to clutter up the boi with a old grievance.

"Over and done with" my :bleep: Open issues get bumped all the time. Caliente Dragons has a customer who was not only dissatisfied with the actual animals received, but Caliente was also shown to have mis-stated bloodline descriptions and invented other information about the origins of the animals so as to enhance their appeal for purchase. On top of it all, the animals were returned to them in satisfactory condition. If this is to not "clutter up the BOI", then Caliente can return the money and make it so. Bumping this thread accomplishes a lot. :thumbsup:
 
Jeane and Wendy will make good on the purchase of the rankins. I just expected Caliente Dragons to come through on their agreed to refund.

Problem is, one customer for life won't keep them in business. I watched this thread and was going back and forth most of the way through it.

I personally think the customer was very difficult but that is part of running a business and providing good customer service. You have to know howto handle the difficult customers.

The OP SHOULD get her money back. The seller offered it, the dragons were returned and the seller keeps the money.

I do keep dragons but would not purchase one from this seller after seeing how poorly this was handled.
 
Update- Refund was NEVER given. The bank did NOT return the funds. Caliente Dragons DID RESELL the drankins again. They made money 2X off those guys and burned us. So much for "charity Auction".

Disgusting.
 
Very informative thread. For sure this thread has helped me stay clear or at least 3 sellers . Sorry you never got your refund.
 
This person Jeanne/wendy obviously has multiple names that she goes by and just wants to cause problems for good people such as gary and heidi

"This person Jeanne/Wendy" are two different people in the same family in the herp biz, hence two different names. If you'd actually read the thread you might have figured that out.

Wendy had a legitimate concern of the purchase of what were advertised & sold as pure Rankins - she initially was offered a refund upon return of the babies, but then that offer was withdrawn & Heidi actually stated she would not accept the delivery if Wendy returned them - not good business, and unthinkable that someone might actually refuse a delivery of live animals.

The babies were returned - and no refund ever given, according to Wendy.
Again, not good business - no matter how good Gary and Heidi may be.
