I had placed an order with California Reptile Company- Victor Calabrese Owner. My order was small but just the same he riped me off!
The leos I received were really thin and had an infection on all there toes not to mention full of parasites as well. The Albino Nelsoni male baby had a bloody gash on his side and a scar on the other. The other snakes were fine-thin but fine. I called emediatly to inform him of there condition and he said to take them to the post office or UPS and ship them back and he would replace them but I had to pay for them to come backand he would reimburse us. After arguing with him he stated he would call UPS and schedual a pick up from our location. UPS never showed up that next day so I called him once again. He gave some story UPS was busy or something-Ya right- and would call again for a pick up on Monday the following week. Monday came and guess what no UPS once again. At that point these reptiles had been boxed and unboxed and reboxed and so on. He agreed to give us his UPS account # and we would schedual the pick up. WOW UPS came within an hour to pick them up. I dought he ever called! I called him with the tracking # and he stated he would ship out my replacement that day. The following day came and no replacement. They received the reptiles that were scard and thin back so I asumed that since they got them back they would re send out the replacements the next day. NOPE and not the next day or the day after that as well. They stoped answering there phone and would not return my calls. I called and left a message that I was at that point returning the remainder of our order and called UPS to pick them up and left him another message with the tracking #. At this point it has been 2 weeks and he still had not charged our credit card- I asumed it was due to the problems with the quality of the stock. Well needless to say when he received all his reptiles back on February 20th at 12:16 in the afternoon that should have been the end of everything but instead at 2:01 almost 2 hours after receiving them back he charges my card in full!!! Out of spite I'm sure but why we did all the returning we had to constantly call him not once did he ever phone us.
He said he would return our funds when he got around to it minus shipping charges in which he stated he was taking care of.
He is now under investigation with our bank, they have all proof of all signatures and dates and times of when he received his reptiles back.
All we want is our money back in full, he has everything back and we have nothing- out all our money and a really big headake. If the bank can not get him to fefund our money then we will take this to small claims court.
Please stay far away from this company so this will not happen to you as well.
