    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Carolina Reptile Exchange, selling Pieds

I am sorry, I did not mean to make it sound like hets were bad, I just don't think I personally would ever do it again. I would rather wait a couple years, or whatever it takes, and buy homo's. I have been taken by nore than just this guy, one of the other guys was on people's great guy lists. Craig
 
I think it would be wise to (A) mention in the advertisement that the original breeder is of questionable ethics and/or (B) sell the animal as normal. Anything less could be considered bad business.

Go back to my original ad, and you will see I did mention the breeder is questionable, to say the least. Kingsnake pulled that ad because of that. I guess people are missing the point, the reason I put her at $2500 originally was so nobody actually wanted to buy her, just looked at the ad and saw the stuff about CRE. I lowered the price so that they would email me and get the story. I HAVE NO INTENTION OF SELLING HER. If I did I would have traded for the female pastel, think about it a fake het for a real female pastel, I would be stupid not to take it if I was for real.

I bought this female back when he was selling snakes under his dead father's name, and company Hce. To my knowledge nobody has ever proved out one of his hets, several have been bred, just no pieds have come of it. This snake is probably not a real het, but if you are thinking of buying a questionable het this one will save you some time, you can prove it is not this year. I can send you a copy of my original receipt, and a copy of my paypal to Bruce.
Price is only $2500
 
I understand. However, the original advertisement and the current advertisement are not the same thing. The current advertisement is a little misleading to the average newbie.

I am not implying any negative comments about your ethics. I am only addressing a possible oversight on your part and offering a fair solution. That's all.

I am sorry, my posts are sounding a little cranky this morning when I reread them I noticed that. I admit the new ad does look legit, however anyone who has emailed me about it has gotten anything but a sales pitch. Sorry I got a little defensive, I just really don't want anyone thinking I am seriously trying to sell her as a het pied. The only way I would sell her is if someone came here, read this, and still wanted to throw her money away. The only reason I will be breeding her this year to pied or het is to provide more statistical data, otherwise she would be a spider or pastel making machine, she is actually getting pretty big, should throw lots of nice normals. That # doesn't match an IP that I have from CRE. Maybe a moderator can tell us if it does match any other IP on this site.

I have emailed him a couple times, he won't even respond here is the last email I sent him.
Still no answer?? I don't blame you, it is easy to have opinions, but much
harder to put your money where your mouth is. Atleast I know, you know they
sell crap. Oh well I guess I get to keep posting my ad, a lot of people have
replied to it, but when I send them a link to Fauna they don't seem
interested anymore. Good day big fella

The only way that guy (bruce I'm sure) will send money is if bruce decides it is worth it to be able to sell more fake hets. I have had about 5 people tell me they were thinking about buying from him before they saw my ad.

Good job Craig. Everyone should post their fake hets in the same way on KS. That would really hurt their sales, and I do not think they could appeal to the KS gods to do anything about it.

I am really surprised how many people are emailing me genuinly interested in purchasing, I would say about a dozen so far.The scary part is they are the same people that would probably buy from CRE. I answer their questions then give them a link here and tell them to read it before they go further, I have not heard back from any of them but one, thanking me for warning them. I do still worry some of these people are going to think I am trying to pull a fast one on them, but I am sure the majority get it. Craig Kade
