In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry Carson Phelps, anyone done recent business with him

maybe I'm not following you, but even if he sent you the wrong photo, that doesn't change why the snake died.

(I concur with the other posters that even with the ac on, a deli (or cage) sitting in the sun in a car, will overheat, especially over a 3 hr period.)

I'm having trouble viewing the pix. I had 2 male mojaves %100 het ghost at the time. I sent pictures of both Mojaves. They were both healthy and feeding fine. The other one was sold and doing fine. I was never told which one he wanted so I grabbed the one that had few more meals in it. $125 is a lot of money but I'm not making a big deal about it. The situation will be taken care of. I believe the snake overheated in the cab or in the box of the truck. It happens. I'll take a very very very small part of the blame for putting them in containers. I use snake bags %99.9 of the time. I figured putting in a container can be inspected better so I went with it. Mistakes happen

I guess it does not matter about the pictures in general...as April is correct, it changes nothing about the situation.

Good on you Carson!! You are helping out a new comer, who made a mistake when bringing his animal home. Very very good show of character on you!

Now Andrew...you saw the animal in person before finishing the deal...obviously it look in fine physical condition from the short view you did have of it in person.

It is HIGHLY unlikely that an animal that appears outwardly healthy is going to die for no reason in a 3 hour time span....an animal that is less then 3 hours from death, would look like craaaap in 95% of situations. It is much more likely that you made a mistake in traveling with the animal and the animal quickly overheated in your care. I live in Arizona...I have seen this happen to many many people who would swear up and down they did nothing wrong when traveling with their animals from a local show to their home.

Considering Carson is known for having healthy animals...and you are describing a very common situation that many people have lost perfectly healthy animals in due to their simple mistake, best not to start speculating that Carson tried to take advantage of you for being a "rookie" and sold you an unhealthy animal.

I'm happy for you that he will be taking care of you when he can.

Just for the record and I guess Shelly moved on from this post the comment that I made
"that is your opinion not mine" was to the previous post before Shelly's. I sent Shelly a private message informing her of it. No attitude just the way I come off.

I bought a 2011 Boa from Carson a few months back from his Facebook auctions. He was prompt with shipping, and she was packaged correctly. However, I thought she was a little thin. Not too sure why he had her on "small mice" for a year, but anyway...She was a great eater from the start and put on weight immediately. I had no problems with Carson at all.....then a few weeks ago I messaged him asking if he would be auctioning a certain ball morph I was looking for anytime soon. He said no but that he would have one availlable for sale soon. I asked for pictures with no response. I messaged him later on asking if he had pictures...again no response. I'm not sure if he sold the animal or what happened. I think that Carson is a good guy, but I don't like wasting my time...I would still buy from him again if the opportunity came up.

I have been dealing with Carson for 4-5 years now. I have purchased a plethora of animals from him, and every one of them have been flawless. Good guy to deal with, he has always been honest and up front with every deal. He always has great animals at great prices and I would recommend doing business with him if you can.

Carson Phelps, great doing business with him.

I have won several ball pythons on Facebook auctions and also bought some from classifieds from Carson. They've always arrived healthy and he's always worked to accomodate shipping dates with me.I'd recommend Carson to anyone who wants quality animals.

Carson Phelps - Good Guy

Phew, that was a long read! I just want to add that I received a male pastel pied from Carson a few months ago. He's a shy eater (no fault of Carson's), but perfectly healthy and consistent enough that I have already started planning his females for this fall.

I too have made purchases from Carson. He's an honest fellow and has always treated me extremely fair. No complaints here.

I have made several purchases from Carson. I could not have been happier. Great guy, excellent animals, great packing and super healthy! :)

I have said it before. I deal with Carson once a week. He has Never been nothing but honest. Class act. Feel like he is part of the family

About a year ago I bought a male piebald from Carson Phelps at a very reasonable price. From the begining the snake did well and fed well and I've never had any health problems with him. Phelps is easy to deal with and I recommend him highly. Here's a pic to show the quality of animals he sells--the mid-to-high white male came from him. I would not hesitate to buy from him again.
