    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Im having issues getting into chat, and... while i dont want to seem pushy if you are really busy, what with getting the site back up and running rich, i also just want to know if its possibly just me.

It does say when i go to load chat, that it could be down, but also.. it says that i am behind a firewall and that my computer could just not be letting me through on that port. ( 8080 ) I added an exception to the firewall for firefox and that port specifically, so... yeah.. just curious! Thanks!

Chat is down and will be for a while. I'm trying to keep the loading on the server down as much as possible for a bit to see if the other shoe is going to drop or not. There is a good chance we might be moving to a more heavily fortified server shortly, so the stuff needed to get the chat running would have to be done all over again at that time anyway.

Sorry, but I have to play it this way right now.

absolutely not a problem! I figured that it was probably similar to last time where you had to rechange stuff to get it working again.

We chat junkies will survive :) Thanks for letting us know!
