Wanted to get in a couple more things on the expanded topics here. Call them my observations:

1) Wes is hitting a lot more brick walls than before. Tears him up real good, doesn't it ! He can't post now without saying "chumpco" somewhere ! I love it !

2) The naysayers are having to grasp for straws almost as soon as they are out of the gate, as their quivers are almost empty to begin with. Look at me. I'm Shrill. I'm TSE. What's left, Hitler ?

3) Threads such as this one did not end up with a lynching. David is helping Chelsea now. Even if just a few emails to get her pointed in the right direction, its a positive, and it was a group effort to turn things.

4) BTW, the entity in the Pacific NW that lost their KS account ? Where Bobby was calling everyone a scammer ? They got it back within 48 hours. Took all of 10 minutes of personal involvement by Jeff B., to include a couple of phone calls, to realize that the tune being sung by Bobby was total BS. If Bobby, and his ilk, were more concerned about the truth, and less about hurting folks from behind their keyboards, it never would have gotten to that point. Bobby and the $hitheads came close to doing real harm to innocent people. Without Jeff B. getting involved, they may have wallowed. A pox on Bobby's house .... almost ..... for that one.

Bobby has become a $hithead. I owe him no respect at this point regarding his acumen here. Regarding his business, I would still recommend him in a heartbeat, although I would probably add "don't say that I sent you". Mark my words, and this is a promise. I will be leaving this site soon enough. I will not let the door hit me in the behind, etc etc.

Just for the sake of clarification, the post that you responded to and are referencing here was made by John Schmitt and not by me. It's true that we work very closely together, and some may consider us linked, but the opinions stated here are our own.

BTW, I never said you were Chris Johnson, but that you are worth about as much. My point is proven yet again above in your statement. Name calling also fits you well Jim, it shows all the class you lack.

Here's an idea!

How about Bobby, Jim F, and Wes all get a subscription to HELL and hash out all of their differences there. Half of this thread has been wasted on your own private war and not on the topic in which this thread was started or intended. It probably wouldn't take much effort to get many of the members here to purchase the subscription for you, just to get all of this where it belongs.

Her Husbandry sounds deplorable, but is it really better to condemn her for being a dumb@ss or point her in the right direction to improve her skills? :shrugs: Personally I'm always on the fence about this one lol.

The fence is a good place for that topic, since individual situations will vary.

Some people need to have their hand held and to be told that they're making a mistake, that there's a better way and so on... they'll listen and won't repeat their mistakes.

Some people are a bit more stubborn or a bit more sensitive to criticism and if the gentle approach doesn't work- they need to be kicked in the teeth until they feel like an idiot. When they feel stupid, they're ready to admit that they don't know their ass from a hole in the ground and will do something about that realization. Either checking into the easy information route or getting the animals out of their care. Some people just need to be beaten over the head with an idea before they "get it"

Was bashing appropriate in this case? No idea, it comes down to David's judgement of the individual and of the situation. If he tried the friendly route and got stonewalled or, even more so, if she responded to the idea of fixing things agressively, he's probably right to rip on her. If one person calls her husbandry wrong, she might think she has an argument... if thirty people do it, it might cause a re-eveluation of that position.

Anyone viewing it from the outside... well, without direct comments from Chelsea, one can only look at the situation and decide if they trust David's judgement. I'd tend to about a subject like this, although there are things where I might be a bit more skeptical of his position.

Oh and David... You might want to hand her off to someone if she's looking for husbandry tips and animal answers. You are not a patient person when it comes to the failings of others (it's a trait I share) and it tends to make you a pretty crappy teacher if it comes down to interaction instead of just lecturing.

Seeing as I gave other options, no, I don't think I'd need to apoligize. In my eyes, someone who cares about their herps and doesn't get mad is apparently falling into the "Budda" catagory in being able to hold a temper and deal calmly with it. What? YOu don't understand what being a "Budda" is maybe? Its a person who is able to be centered and calm throughout nearly any crisis or troubles.
I also wouldn't call it a temper tantrum as a temper tantrum is throwing a fit because something doesn't please you in a petty way. If someone punches you in the face and you get mad and punch them back, or yell at them for doing it, its a temper tantrum I guess now. Fine.

Chameleons, as cool as they are, are probaly NOT something I'd ever get into breeding to sell, as I know I'd get attached to each one too badly. They are just sooo cool and soo neat, and so special.
To anyone who did not understand my comments and felt I said you didn't love your herps, I apoligize. To people who just want to pick a fight and see me get all snarky.. tsssppppptttt!!!!!! Haha. I usually only get angry when someone threatens either my livelihood or my animals. Seeing as you aren't in a position to do either, good luck getting me upset over it.

Just out of curiousity, how is this better than what you seem to sooooo look down upon?

Is it because you are a pillar of some invisible community? Do you have some sort of mandate from on high to point out the inaninty of others? Are you just better than some?

No less prone to inanity than many, I'm sure. What may be different is that this is an attempt to ask you (pl) to look beyond your personal conflicts and consider what it is that you are actually contributing in instances such as this.

Am I better than some? Quite possibly, as it is also possible that I am worse than some, placing me somewhere between the ends of that spectrum.

Wes, bottom line is that I (along with others I am sure) lament the unnecessary personal feuds which cloud so many topics recently.

If "your" side of the coin is your attempt to advance the usefulness of this forum, then yes, it is two side of the same coin. However, you appear to characterise "my" side of the coin as me looking down on others, which is not my intent at all.

When I have an opinion, I own it. chumpco is a supporter of thieves, a lying sack of crap and loves to twist things so people see things his way. When I point that out, I speak ONLY for myself.

If this troubles you so much, use the ignore feature. If you condone his behaviour, continue to support him. But, if you don't have people saying to you, "please speak for me, I am not willing to do so myself," you may want to consider the wisdom of making ASSupmtions that will make you look foolish.

And just for the record, it's not personal. I just don't like guys like chumpco or neil "the liar" gubitz or any of thier ilk. What do you do when fly gets particularly annoying? I swat the damn thing until it's squished.

I appreciate your comments. It may be moot, but Wes joined the thread with a hijack post, continue the feud BS, etc. As you see Tom O., you tried to make a civil post, and had your own mini-spat with the little rooster. Sledge, Bobby came here importing his hurt feelings from another thread, again with a hijack post. Its the chip they carry, with my name on it. You will see it in most every thread where I post, as they are going to try to unload it again. I don't think you will find an instance, of late anyway, where I have jumped behind either with a post designed to take the thread off topic. That is their domain. I never need throw the first punch anyway with either, as I know the silliness will be brought merely by my existance.

Since it was raised, let me say that those with the temerity to call me a liar to my face only do it one time. From behind a keyboard, it is a more frequent occurrence.

In spite of their efforts, this thread also did manage to steer towards civility regarding the issues brought here by the thread starter. It wasn't easy, but I would like to thank all who made efforts to that end.

david is a good herper, dont get me wrong but when he's in a jam he tends to lie and do anything to get blame off of himself. when i bought the snake from him, he told me that it was not eating well. he denies ever saying that now of course. he also said that he was ready to cry when he saw the dead snake. he covered that up with laughter i guess, lol. he did not seem upset at all. he was cutting up and laughing the whole time. its also a little ironic that he refuses to pay anything back right after he loses his job and admits that the snake had neurological problems. he's a all around good guy unless hes got a problem and a reputation to maintain. since i was new to the forum that automatically makes me a newb. so theres no way that my story could stand up to his. he has alot of buddies to back him. which means he can sell sick animals and still win. that says alot about herpers in general. its a shame.

You have never purchased a snake from me. If you are referring to the Brazilian Rainbow Boa that I sold to Chelsea, then you are VERY wrong about it not eating well. That snake ate like a champ every time it was offered food, even while in ecdysis. It never missed a meal for the breeder nor myself. Chelsea even said it ate for her while in her care!

Why should I pay Chelsea for a snake that she killed due to improper care? Once again, you are fabricating the truth.....I never "admitted the snake had neurological problems"....I stated that the snake was exhibiting symptoms that were similar to cases I had seen in the past where other animals had neurological issues. Could that have been the case with the BRB? Possibly.....overheating an animal such as a Rainbow Boa in the way that Chelsea did could cause neurological damage.....exposing an animal to harmful chemicals can cause this as well, among many other things.

The facts remain that the snake was in PERFECT condition when I sold it, it was represented honestly to the fullest, and it died in the hands of Chelsea.

I have a good reputation because I treat others how I want myself to be treated. I am honest, I take care of my animals, I take care of my customers (I can provide MANY....MANY references on this....how many references can you provide to back up YOUR flase claims against me??) I do NOT sell sick animals EVER.

I am frankly shocked that you of all people would question my business integrity and the way that I care for and represent my animals. MY ANIMALS ARE NOT BEING KEPT IN DEPLORABLE CONDITIONS AND DIEING AS A RESULT.

Since it resurrected in this thread, I wanted to put in a post that after some PM exchanges yesterday, Bobby Hill and I were able to have a talk last night. It was a good one. I don't want to speak for Bobby, except to say that he mistakenly thought that several of my comments about some folks in the Pacific Northwest were actually referencing a different entity. In that scenario, they did not fit, were not accurate, and would have had no basis in truth. There were other mistaken references, at least where words in the BOI did not produce the intended results between us. All were cleared up in the phone conversation, with a couple of concerns we will likely follow up on outside of the BOI. We laughed at quite a bit. I also believe we can communicate here in the BOI again without the heat being turned way up from the beginning.

Lest there be any doubt, I have always known Bobby to be impeccable in his business transactions, knowledge, and desire to help others with that knowledge. Its nice to end the year being able to say "tell him I sent you" when recommending folks deal with Bobby Hill
