I feel that the issue should really be closed here.

I have read every single post made here, and I have responded more than respectfully to every one, despite the unfounded and inexcusable attacks that are being made on my character. No one is "pushing the hush on" I am simply imploring people not to make this personal, as many, remaining nameless, are clearly doing. This is no longer a thread about whether I am or am not a bad guy. This has become a thread about who was right and who was wrong, and I feel that that is not the issue. The issue was closed when I made good, because that was the OP's complaint.

When the rest of you make this about yourself winning an argument, it impacts me because I am obligated to continue taking it seriously, as you are discussing me. This is not an existential conversation about theoretical beings. You seem to be forgetting that I am an actual human being, with feelings, and time constraints, and this thread is genuinely starting to have an affect on me outside of this website.

I have had none too few comments about my character, my animals, and my basic abilities. I have responded to all of them calmly and respectfully. I have made good on a problem that I'm still not even sure that I caused, and for all my trouble, all I get is people like you continually insulting and badgering me.

I ask again. If you would like to discuss something with me, that is fine. If you have a question for me or a comment for me, by all means say it, but my feeling is that this thread has ceased being a discussion about the issue at hand, and instead become a competition between two sides, and the person who is at the brunt of all the impact is me.

I have lost sight of what we are still doing here, as well. What is it that we still want from Chris? He sent the parts that the OP claimed were missing, and that the OP claimed were the reason for this thread being started. I honestly don't know what else he can do, what else is expected of him, or what can be accomplished by continuing this argument, but maybe I am missing something. Isn't the ideal goal of a BOI thread to resolve an issue and reach closure if possible? At what point will we have closure?

Although resolution does happen it is not the only purpose of the BOI. An important purpose is provide information about a transaction, so that those following can make their own decisions about proceeding to do business with one or the other of the parties.
New information or a new perspective can change how a BOI thread is seen, we've all seen that many times.
Sometimes a thread gets to the point of beating a dead horse, but sometimes, a new perspective brings different ways of seeing what has been presented.

But perspective and speculation are completely different things. People aren't forming opinions of the facts, here. They are making groundless speculations about things that COULD have happened, which would support the opinions that they formed and voiced 8 pages ago. This is becoming a witch-hunt, where people are just looking for reasons to judge me.

Again, I reiterate. I had no intention whatsoever of doing anything other than a completely honest trade with the OP. I even went 4 hours out of my way, at my own cost. I waited until he gave me the ok to go, and answered all of the questions he had at the drop. Even after leaving, when new, unverifiable information came to light, I went above and beyond to make sure that everything that I said I would do was done.

You can speculate all you want about what I would have done if _______. Or did I really think _________. Or was my real plan to __________. The facts are still the facts. Everything you guess at is nothing more than speculation. What I DID is what matters.

I checked the heat to make sure they were functional.
I drove out of my way as a favor.
I waited with the OP until he had no more questions.
I replaced any parts that MIGHT have been missing.
I have throughout and continue to communicate via this thread in nothing more than a respectful and calm manner, and at no point have I ever retaliated against any of the insults made against me, or personally attacked any of the people who have been so bent on making me out to be such a villain.

If you want to judge me on all the things you think I might have done under other hypotheticals, or all the things you think I'm secretly thinking, by all means go ahead, but I would implore anyone who is considering entering into a transaction with me to please judge me by my ACTIONS. That is only fair.

And yes, readers can now make their own decisions relative to the parties they may or may not choose to do business with in the future.

Really all I think it comes down to is a reasonable misunderstanding resulting in Dan making unreasonable requests about how to solve the issue.

I wouldnt do any sort of business with dan for any reason at this point, just my opinion on what Ive seen here. I'd rather only deal with relatively sane and reasonable people.

Thank you all for the kind words. It's frustrating when everything you do isn't good enough for someone, so it means a lot to me that many other members of the forum feel that I have done a good job.
