Info Chris Salada, bad trade, trying to sell animals as different genetics

Chris.... I never said anyone tried to rip you off... If you read what I posted I stated that I would let people make decisions off of the conversations and screen shots I posted. As a matter of fact I posted this as an Info thread not a good or bad guy thread, giving you the benefit of the doubt that perhaps I jumped the gun on or misinterpreted your sales ad not really being a sales ad, but you asking an opinion on the snakes genetics. Furthermore I never said that you were a scammer, just that I had yet to receive an animal from you in the trade involved (again giving you the benefit of a doubt that you would take care of your end of the trade and another reason I did not post this as a bad guy thread)

When you lost your cool and blocked me I was trying to get info to understand what you were doing and why.... If I was going to call you a scammer this deffinatly would be a bad guy post. I posted info based on pretty common beliefs

1 you are advertising false genetics
2 It has been over a month since you got my animal
3 despite number 2 I have yet to receive my end of the deal
4 When I no my wife got tired of me stressing over getting that carpet and wondering if you were gonna ever send the animal to me she called you out on it

5 Instead of understanding that I have been incredibly understanding for 30 plus days and wanted my animal you replied angrily
6 when questioned about advertising what is obviously my fire as a fire enchi you blew up and blocked me.

If anyone thinks you are a scammer it is your doing not mine. Do I believe I will ever actually get that jag no. And your responses have reinforced that belief.

And make no mistake I am not mad. More disappointed in the way this turned out. honestly I have looked back at the conversations and laughed.... You told me how sorry some one would be if they were desperate enough to scam somone on this low end of a deal and then here we are.......

wow - ya know he was posting in CL here in the pittsburgh market and i contacted him to possibly do some BP trades in the future. he asked what i had and when i told him i had a female visual pied (which i JUST bought) he emailed me back BEGGING me for pictures. here below is my email to him (in NO way am i saying i want to trade my female for anything) and his reply....

Many people know how to take screen shots (took this one before the ad disappears) interestingly enough this one contradicts the email you sent claiming that you were merely asking if it was a fire Enchi.

Looks to me that in this screen shot you are not asking but telling and the animal is now a female too

I was going to be getting an albino but he wanted me to ship first... so I asked on the BOI Facebook page and found some people warning me about him. They got scammed with the same albino I was supposed to get... so I've been waiting for this guy to get caught! Hope no one else goes through this.

The snake will be shipped then, even though your husband prematurely decided to tell the world that I'm some type of scam artist ASSuming he got ripped off Wichita wasn't the case. I told you that's how I feed me kids, and apologized for the bad communication. People will never not associate my name with bad news. I don't care if u tell people I sent u ten snakes, that's not what they will think about . I truly believe in KARMA, so I will send the snake like I said I would on the day I said I would. Then you don't have to deal with " people like me" or press charges

What's that supposed to mean

I wanted to post to give a little details as to how myself and my friend Jim Powers got mixed up in this whole thing. Jim was contacted originally by Chris Salada about a male pied and put down a $100 deposit. He went back and forth with Jim via text and cell phone for about a month before they decided to complete the transaction with a trade. Early in their texts an enchi fire was mentioned.

Jim sent the following text to Chris:

How much cash + enchi fire male. I'm really only looking for females. Were did u get him from?

Chris responded with a two part text:

Primal scream reptilesse, New

and then: Reptiles, and their out of new Mexico.could u do one hundred and the enchi fire

Jim was also offered an OD by Chris but after seeing the pics of the said OD, I had my doubts and tried to get some opinions of some of the guys I have known and respected in this community. None had experience with ODs but in their opinion, it just looked like a normal BP.

Jim sent Chris the following message:

Weight of the od male & do u have paper work for him. Weight enchi fire

Chris replied:

Weight on of male is 250 and no I trust brad,and enchi fire is 400 grams. Please

Jim tried to get ahold of Brad several times but due to Brad's being in Daytona for a reptile show, he could not reach him. I suggested to Jim that he should wait til after he spoke to Brad to do any deal. That is when the Enchi fire and a pastel female came into play. Jim had Chris bring the OD and ended up trading his pied for all three (enchi fire, pastel female and OD). Jim told Chris that he would be contacting Brad and when he finally got hold of Brad, he was told that Brad did not sell an OD to Chris and that he hadn't ever seen one in person.

Jim sent Chris the following text message:

Just talked to brad. He never sold u a OD. He has never even had one.

Chris replied:

Thanks because you need to reread the text I said I got the pastel of a brad and I trust his opinion. I didn't say I got it from him I got it from New Mexico. I have no reason to lie. Why would I ruin a connection with brad

I read Chris's reply and that is when I contacted Justin on Facebook and that is when I found out Chris had traded us Justin's fire and not an enchi fire and that Chris had never sent the IJ Carpet that he had promised Justin in return.

Jim sent the following to Chris:

Did u not think I would contact primal scream about the OD or the enchi fire? I told u to be honest about the whole thing & ya lied. Dude traded u a fire,just a fire & u never even shipped your snake to him. No enchi fire. No OD. So How u gonna make this right? Give me the piebald back or $200 cash & I won't bash u on FB/ fauna/or brad. U have till Saturday to make this right. U will be lucky to even attend another reptile show or ever sale a snake again. Don't wanna hear any more BS. Just how your gonna make it right.

Chris replied:

See I don't get it at first you asked if it was en enchi fire, or just an enchi, now it's just a fire. I didnt get the od of of primal scream, you just assumed that they are the only place in New mexico.

So this past Friday 8/23 Jim met Chris again and Chris made things right with Jim in giving Jim an additional bumblebee bp. Chris also said he was going to send Justin the carpet he owed him. I texted this to Justin and he contacted Chris and was told that Chris would send the carpet on 9/2/13. I told Justin to let me know what happens and that if he did not receive his carpet, we would make arrangements to ship his fire male back to him.

I myself do not feel sorry for Chris as he claims that his name is ruined. He did that on his own through lies, scams and dishonesty. I am glad however that at least myself and Jim can sleep well at night knowing we did a good thing to help out a fellow reptile enthusiast. Justin seems like a really cool guy and I can only imagine the frustration that he went through the past month plus.

Yeah PGH you and Jim have been great, and I am glad to have had you guys watching out for me when I let you know of the other BS...... For the record though my wife is staying in contact with Chris as he has blocked me and wont talk to me. Chris told my wife he would send the jag on sept second becuase he didnt have access to his animals until then.. But he magically got access to his animals to meet with you guys..... Chris has also told my wife several times that he would contact me to make things right and never has. (it is in her post above where she posted the conversation between her and Chris)

Bottom of the line regardless of how this turns out I will be happy, I have made some new friends, exposed someone for what they are, and Thanks to new friends I will either get my animal back or the animal I was promised in the trade.....

Chris likes to twist every word too, something I noticed after he started emailing me because I posted this thread all over his facebook page lol. He's not only a scammer, but a liar and terrible at both. Avoid at all costs. Its awesome to see a rainbow over the dark clouds though with seeing how Justin and Greg have handled it on their end. Proof there is good people out there.
