    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I bought a pair of Labyrinth Burmese Python babies from him. In his post on Kingsnake he stated clearly that they were eating for him. I got them in and they were thin as a rail. They looked to me (I have had hundreds if not thousands of baby burms) like they had never eaten.

So I tried to feed them. Live mice, live rats, frozen mice, frozen rats... I emailed Craig and told him what I have just typed including the part about my belief that they were not eating as advertised. I got no reply. I emailed again. Five days later he send me an email saying simply "can you ship them back to me."

At this time I tell him that I will ship them back to him right away but that I need him to acknowledge that he is refunding my money when he gets them. Just so all of you know, if you ship animals back to someone you are blindly trusting them if you do not have something in writing/email that states clearly that your money is being refunded. They can just say that you shipped them animals and that is that.

Anyway, 3 days later he emails me (he emailed me immediately when I wanted to buy and paid for animals) and just says again that I should ship them back. Again I tell him that he needs to state that he is refunding my money or I will need a refund prior to me shipping. He does nothing. I filed a complaint with Paypal and will be pursuing the refund of my money through them.

Avoif this guy. He is, to me, very obviously dishonest. He could have just said from the beginning "Ship them back and I will refund your money." He is trying to screw me and I am just a bit too seasoned to allow him to. Beware buyers. Beware. Evan Stahl

I believe this to be a problem with communication. I believe that Craig is a good guy. I have had a few transactions with him with no problems in the past. Email him again and ask him for verification that he will refund your money. Sometimes he is not very quick at replying to emails.

I emailed him five times over a two week period and get two lame responses. He had no problem communicating when he took my money. Evan
 
Assuming, for the sake of argument, that Sue is 100% correct in her assessment of Craig, I still would not do business with him.  I you are too busy to communicate with me before and AFTER the sale about pertinent information regarding the animals being sold, then you're too busy to count MY money.

When will breeder/dealers learn that 90% of customer satisfaction is the idea of concern for the health of the animals in question conveyed by PROPER communication?  Look at all of the posts we've seen here on the BOI.  How many of them could have been avoided if an email or a phone call had been returned quickly and professionally?

As much as I like Craig, and have had no problems when we've conducted business together...I still feel there is no excuse for the lack of communication AFTER the sale has been made....That's the most "important" time to answer their questions...anybody can SELL an animal....but, the "professional" will never leave you hanging when you need a question answered or a problem solved...no matter if it's good or bad! If it's good....answer the question immediately, if it's bad....MAKE IT RIGHT! ....Neil
 
Evan,  I have asked you on 2 occasions to send them back. Its been that easy and it is still that easy. You asked for your money back and I told you I would feel more comfortable with you sending them back first. Make this easy on both of us and send them back. To all that have replied there has not been a comunication problem. He just wants his money back first. I dont know him and I will not let him stiff me (probably not the case but you never know).      -Craig
 
Craig....I think his problem was he just wanted you to verify that if he did send them back that you WOULD reimburse him....that was his whole point (I think?)....Neil
 
Simple fix here Craig (I agree about sending the money first), send themoney to someone mutually trusted, and when the money arrives, the animals can be shipped.

It appears to me that, if he sends the animals back that Craig is more than willing to refund the money.  Like was brought up in a previous post of mine, Noone gives the money back until the animal is in their possesion. The whole situation has been addressed on here, Even send the snakes back, and then Craig will refund the money. If for some reason he did not refund the money, (which I highly doubt) then you address it on here as such.

Evan's problem was, according to his post, that you had not agreed to refund his money when he sent the animals back to you.  He wanted that in writing before he shipped.  He, like you, simply does not want any possibility of being ripped off without having something in hand that showed your expression of intent to refund his money.  

That being said, unless you have given Evan that promise of intent in an email, I still haven't seen that expression of intent in your previous post.  Do you intend to refund Evan's money when he ships the animals back to you?  If I missed you saying that you would do this, I appologize in advance for my lack of observation.

this was there reply when i filed a complaint about receiving a dead gecko. as long as she shipped a gecko they don't care how it arrived. This is why i have stopped using paypal.

As stated in our User Agreement, PayPal's Buyer Complaint Policy
only applies to the shipment of goods, not to disputes about
the attributes or quality of goods received. Therefore, we cannot
reverse this transaction or issue a refund. We encourage you to
continue to work directly with the seller to amicably resolve
this dispute.
 
And now Craig, you are a liar too. I have asked you point blank on three occasions to just state that if I shipped the animals back you would refund my money. When you refused to answer my emails I simply asked you why you would not state that you would refund my money. So Craig, for the fourth time! Why won't you say that you will refund my money if I ship the snakes back to you? I have been in the reptile business for 15+ years. I can supply top references from big names that I have spent BIG money with! This is not about my $300. This is about you ripping me off for $300! Evan Stahl

I just want to know if I am ever gonna get my $100 bucks from you Craig??? I email and call you still. I have not got a response from you in 3 weeks. I emailed you twice this weekend and I called and left a message. You can respond to him but what about our situation buddy??? Im sorry its coming to this but I don't like being ignored...

From what i'm reading it seems to me that he just's want you to tell him he will get his money back if he ships you the snakes back.

It seems as if this problem could be very quickly and easily resolved,..... IF it was do to a communication break-down.      
  Craig, you need to be a little more prompt in responding. Are you going to return Evans money, as soon as he sends the snakes back? Very simple.

It sounds to me like craig has some very poor customer service! Craig, your customers are who you need to stay in buisness, and it looks like you need to work on taking care of them if you plan on having any success in this buisness.

If you can reply here, then you need to reply to your customers and make this RIGHT! If not than you need to find another buisness. Most of the good people in this biz know how to take care of there customers.

Just my two cents on this matter!
