• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Creating an “elite members club” or whatever you want to name it.

Guys think on this...

The one advantage to having Shrill call out Kevin is Shrill has no past or present that can be called into play. Even Kevin was smart enough not to engage him since he would have no ammo to deal with.

I voted very early on in this thread, yet remained silent to see what would happen.......true to form, those who just can't help themselves, once again, showed us their underwear.

Yeeessss..... exactly. Delegation. MAJOR delegation of this onerous task. :D
I'm not sure what you have in mind Rich, however, if you need help, count me in.

This question is without any animosity at all. So far 5 individuals voted "No, I'd rather maintain my anonymous status". Does that mean they are currently posting under a different name? Anyone care to comment?

Regards.

Dan:
I am not sure its a matter of them posting in an anonymous manner as it is, they dint see a value of the (elite-valid forum). But then again I am real, a pain in the a** in real life and boring just ask my ex's.

I'll clarify: I voted NO because there was only one other choice (YES). I am obviously not posting annonymously, just not digging the idea of an Elite forum. WIth the exception of the Board of Inquiry, real/full names should not be a requirement to post.

Well put. The choices were not mutually exclusive.

My thinking runs along these lines also, which is why I didn't vote. I'm not "anonymous", but I don't think it's viable to develop a "verified members" group.

There is some level of verification on the GGC, which should take care of businesses. As for individuals....if someone wants to be fraudulent about their identity in ANY online forum, they'll find a way to do it.

It's good in theory, but I don't think it's realistic.

Thanks for the clarification. Whenever someone sends me an anonymous e-mail inquiring about an animal for sale very seldom do I reply. In my opinion it seems polite to identify yourself when you address another individual. It's like when calling someone on the phone; you don't go straight to your question, you usually start with "Hi, my name is John Herpman and I have a question...". Similarly I would really like to know who am I talking to in "any conversation". E-mail and computers are impersonal enough to add on top of that aliases and/or fake identities. Just MHO. :)

Regards.

I agree with you Dan, and I always identify myself when inquiring about an animal, and it irritates me when people do not do the same. That's different than posting on an internet forum though.
