• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I think part of all this was the fact that he was being so nasty to this particular buyer. I first took real note of Katie in this thread: http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=244897
where she ended up adopting a stray but handicapped kitten. Throughout all of this, that kind of personality has shone through, she is spunky and stands up for herself, but never stooped to the kinds of behavior and posts that this seller did.

What he did was inexcusable anywhere, but particularly so to this kind person who was just pointing out that her birthday gecko was not as advertised.

Yes, while I did finally receive the refund, I will not be purchasing from Robert again. I truly hope he does learn from this and betters himself, I will not risk going through this again. This thread will be here for others to make their own decision as to buy from him or not. I know my decision on that matter, it's up to everyone else to make their own.

Sorry you had to go through so much BS with this seller and have to deal with him spreading lies about you on top of it all. :ack2:
