Here's just a few of Dan's lies to get it started....


First Dan says:

FACT is that the other boas are thriving and there was never any mention of IBD virus in the report.

Then Dan says:

I said the report said IBD in the first page of this and never denied it said IBD.

Dan says:

that snake festered there for weeks if not a month while bloated.

But the buyer received the snake on 2/7, and the dead snake was delivered for necropsy on 2/11/08. That looks like, um, 4 days total. Not months, or even weeks.

Dan keeps denying that the snake in the photos was the one he sent, yet he said this, recognizing that the snake was the one that he sent:

I packed a healthy fine snake and was very very very shocked to see it bloated in the photo the next day.

And then in refernce to Erik, Dan said:

I am not going to start a bad buyer thread on him. I may start a rat pup thread, but not a bad buyer thread.

And from there, he's just having fun watering down the thread with a bunch of useless BS< hoping that folks won't take the time to read it enough to find the truth.

I never shipped a sick reptile in my life and you know it and won't own up to it. Those other viper boas were reported are received healthy and the buyer was quite happy with them. I have no evidence they passed away at all and perhaps they stressed from handling and died, but I met my part of the sales terms and instead of supporting that fact, you want to find another reason to point the finger instead of looking into the mirror at your own falults.

All you want to do is harp on some idiotic hearsay and misinformation and not one of you has any evidence to support your misguided and idiotic charges. You can cut and paste sentences and analyze my big toe if you want and all you will find is an honest dude having fun selling reptiles. Nothing you can do or say will rial or detract my attention from my hobby or impede any sale for anyone, and that is what is bothering all of you. You think you can use your influence to boss me or trick me or intimidate me and you fail time and time again.

Jesse hasn't made any further posts and seems to have accepted your offer. On post #218 it seems you are now rescinding that offer to your customer.
At least that is how I read the post.

I understand your upset with everyone else here but I don't understand why now you would let that influence your previous decision to make your customer happy. It's not his fault the threads continued.

I rather enjoy seeing these fools that have made charges based on hearsay and speculation run away with their tails tucked ashamed to apologize for all the false accusations they made which wasted everyone's time. I paid the fellow 4 months ago and boobs here and jumping up and down over nothing, no virus, no sick snake, no nothing. They are just mad because the other snakes never showed sick. No one asked me who the breeder was and if they were truly concerned they would have. But they don't care, they are just attacking because I told them their opinions mean squat and it makes them pissed. I know how to yank a chain if need be and I love to do it to these frequent posters because I see them jumping people all the time and no one wants to comment or post because they are afraid of being jumped for no good reason.

Yea, I was advised to stick to the company policy and terms of sale. There are exceptions of course when items are delayed due to shipper faults and such and those will be taken on a case by case basis of course but since I have made thousands of transactions, I was actually wondering when it might happen that I would be in a situation with refunds and such. But again, advice from professionals in the industry suggested I stick with the terms of company policy and I have reviewed several companies terms and their terms are quite tough.

You're telling me (again) that you refunded his money before he even received the snake?

I forget the date I shipped the snake, but the day he received it he called and we discussed it and that exact moment I paypaled him 150 bucks. I have a copy of the payment and I was informed the snake lived a couple weeks or longer so don't know what you based those statements on.

Dan being polite here and just wanting you to consider the fact that you already offered to go outside the terms for this particular customer. The advice you received could be consider good, great or inadequate depending on different circumstances and point of views on future transactions. It just seems to me that since you already offered the replacements before receiving this advice that it would be a good thing to stand by what you already stated to the gentleman.

But besides that fact and don't run off, tell me what you would do if you sent a fellow 2 viper boas feeding on live mice and he said they arrived happy and healthy and 2 weeks later he calls you at 2 AM cursing at you? And keep in mind your guarantee is for live arrival. Would you send him 2 more snakes? Be honest now.

And again you do not know all the facts. I told him they only would eat live mice. Knowing this, he made a statment that he left in a dead mouse and it did not eat and he found it dead later? Seems odd to me. I think he put in food and the snakes were stressed from all of his handling and did not eat and the mice stressed them further and they died from the stress. That aside, I might take care of this on my own accord later and it is between him and me. I will call him in a week and see how settled he is over it all and see what I can do for him. I have 2 gravid specimens also and might be able to provide some babies so there are many options here.

You are quick and good at this investigation work, so show me another dealer who has a more than live arrival guarantee on wild caught snakes? Show me an instance when a dealer has before provided any snake or reptile after the owner reported them as received healthy and happy?

Cathy, that is great. You proved my point. He said he had the snake for a couple weeks before it died so how can the report on my snake be dated February 11th if it was still alive?

I don't mean to appear so daft on these details but since I am so convinced I shipped a healthy reptile, I never caught that fact.

I bet if you telephoned the lab, you will find this fellow deposited several snakes on many different dates.
