YES, there were necropsy reports posted of a boa from Dan that indeed DID die from IBD. The sickly emerald that Dan sold didn't die from IBD, that was the negative result that was recently posted.
And if you think boas and pythons are the only snakes that can have IBD, you may want to take the time to read this:
inclusion body disease was described in a group of vipers (Botriechis marchi, family Viperidae); the source ofthe disease was unknown,and the
animals had had no contact with affected Boidae (Raymond
and others 2001).
