Tom, Sir, these things we're now discussing happened years ago, but please allow me 2 minutes of your time to explain.
As stated, I am completely un-sure as to why this person continues, after years, to return at-will, to spew hatred and insults in our direction.
As per the "dead snake" event, information was presented by myself and the person that acquired the animal from me. We both tried to present this info to the seller, to no avail. So, both our home, and the person which took the the snake from me worked to dispute the illness.
In fact, at that time, the buyer of the snakes in question, our families became great friends through the process, years ago, and we maintain a friendship to this day both socially as well as professional (she works at the county-level in animal control & animal rescue).
The fact that animals were ill or died was never in-question, Sir. The only issue was, though ill snakes were shipped, we were never refunded a dime. From my position, to cover the family which bought the animal from me, I took it upon myself to fix that sale it by, providing not one free Boa, not two free boas, but 'three' free boas. I worked to solve the problem, I worked to make things right. Does that make more sense now Tom?
The very simple/short version.....I bought snakes, I made a grave error in selling one prior to allowing full time of quarantine (however, the buyer knew this, and requested I sell the animal anyway), the snake died, I was informed, and I quickly replaced it with 1,2,3 of my own boas, and we are still friends years later. So, even though I shelled out money and even though the snakes shipped to us we ill, and even though I never received a dime refund, I provided 3 snakes to replace 1. I believe did a good thing, remained professional to my buyer, right Tom? I tried my best. That's all I was able to do, the best to my ability and what I had at my disposal. I stood behind my sale 110%.
That's all. That's it. That's what happened. And, to the fact, the problem was solved with my buyer, professionally. To-date, we have never received a dime refund or credit for the ill snakes sent to us, and we have no desire to rehash, deal with, or communicate with the seller. Some things are simply not worth the brain-pain. Make sense, Sir?
Have a prosperous New Year Tom.
