In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy DEAD SNAKES from Kevin South of The Constrictors Labrynth

And for the record, the problem is that Kevin South sold sick snakes that died, and then he disappeared.

You also never posted proof of the questions asked of you about these 'sick' snakes and the accusations you made (example - mucos)... but regardless, I am very dissapointed that Kevin seems to be ignoring this...
:NoNo:

Since Kevin hasn't come back to this site and his website is down, I'm hoping that means he has shut down his collection. Unlike someone else from this thread it seems.

So did you get your collection that has been exposed to ibd tested Nick, before trying to bring in more animals and selling no doubt? Or did you just decide that after 3 months people might have forgotten?

I don't know Kevin; but, from what I've seen over the years, that could just as easily mean he's trying to get off the radar...

Umm, am I missing something? His last reply in that ad was before this thread was even created.

When ads get bumped via the Classifieds Panel, they show up in the new posts list - easy mistake to make if you don't look at the dates. Heck, people drag up old stuff all the time for various reasons, and people continue the discussion like it's a new thread.

Actually, colorado contacted me today to buy my milksnake i posted last night. I have been checking people who were interested in buying the milk just in case.

Seeming intelligence and well thought out answers do not believers make

I have just spent the last couple hours reading up on nothing but this gentleman named nick. From what I can tell he seems to believe that if he makes it seem like he is smarter or more well read then any of us that we have no choice but to believe him. He keeps trying to make logical arguments to all criticisms but doesn't pay attention to what he says as he contradicts his words with his actions many times over. Then attempts to use ignorance as his defence yet did I not read about how he used to be really "into" snakes before. Anyways my point is that you cannot simply say you are professional and you cannot simply say you have high standards you need to actually be professional not arrogant and condescending trying to beat everyone down as if your intellect is superior. Also a person should never have to say he will post something or he will get proof. All pictures and documentation should be readily available for someone so professional. Who does not document I'll snakes ? Every cellphones tablet computer has a camera hell I have even seen a pen. With a camera.

 All & every day!!! GTFOH!!!!!!

Has anyone else noticed the way they nick tries to create familiarity by calling Tom tommy-boy. To me that seems very reminiscent of a sleazy call salesman. Or how ( don't take offence ppl). Non Canadians try to convince you that they are the one giving you a good deal or how they are superior. I encounter this with non Canadian truck drivers who do something illegal and then turn around to you and go. " no, no. Is ok, is good. No problems" as they just backed into your truck. Or how they blow through a red light and then honk at you and give u the finger while u have a green light. His mannerisms and everything he posts just seems to be flaky. And why does he have to rub it in even in his latest posts about still being here while the other guy isn't. Making him out to be a bad guy doesn't make you a good guy. It just makes you both bad guys . Some ppl need to learn that less is more

Tom, Sir, these things we're now discussing happened years ago, but please allow me 2 minutes of your time to explain.

As stated, I am completely un-sure as to why this person continues, after years, to return at-will, to spew hatred and insults in our direction.

As per the "dead snake" event, information was presented by myself and the person that acquired the animal from me. We both tried to present this info to the seller, to no avail. So, both our home, and the person which took the the snake from me worked to dispute the illness.

In fact, at that time, the buyer of the snakes in question, our families became great friends through the process, years ago, and we maintain a friendship to this day both socially as well as professional (she works at the county-level in animal control & animal rescue).

The fact that animals were ill or died was never in-question, Sir. The only issue was, though ill snakes were shipped, we were never refunded a dime. From my position, to cover the family which bought the animal from me, I took it upon myself to fix that sale it by, providing not one free Boa, not two free boas, but 'three' free boas. I worked to solve the problem, I worked to make things right. Does that make more sense now Tom?

The very simple/short version.....I bought snakes, I made a grave error in selling one prior to allowing full time of quarantine (however, the buyer knew this, and requested I sell the animal anyway), the snake died, I was informed, and I quickly replaced it with 1,2,3 of my own boas, and we are still friends years later. So, even though I shelled out money and even though the snakes shipped to us we ill, and even though I never received a dime refund, I provided 3 snakes to replace 1. I believe did a good thing, remained professional to my buyer, right Tom? I tried my best. That's all I was able to do, the best to my ability and what I had at my disposal. I stood behind my sale 110%.

That's all. That's it. That's what happened. And, to the fact, the problem was solved with my buyer, professionally. To-date, we have never received a dime refund or credit for the ill snakes sent to us, and we have no desire to rehash, deal with, or communicate with the seller. Some things are simply not worth the brain-pain. Make sense, Sir?

Have a prosperous New Year Tom.

That was much better, I'm not being condescending or rude either . That reply was well presented no attitude was given. Had u given your initial responses in such a manner you might have found replies to you much less hostile :)

Tom, I agree.

However, the only reasoning I can give at this time is, I was stressed. Understand that I was being attacked by numerous strangers for an event which was falsified, created with specificity to do harm to me and my family. My name was smeared unjustly, so did I handle everything properly, no. So yes, I agree, I failed when this fiasco began, and I should have known better from the start. I was warned to not involve myself in that deal/with that person, but I failed. I have to live to learn (and life events such as a few family deaths, and my daughter (the one that was so rudely insulted both on the phone and here in-print) was struck by an automobile and hurt very badly, along with other life-events, helps one readjust the way they think/feel/deal/communicate, and so on.

Now, years later, that event far removed, I'm unsure why this was ever rehashed. It makes no sense Sir, none.

Lastly, onward and upward, in a positive fashion. If I can provide Type 2 Anery (from J.Stone "Black Magic" project), Tarahumara (pure), Leopard (stunning pink/red line), Sharp stuff, Anery/Ghost 100% het Alb, IMG (he may be sold), maybe a VPI or two, and, my guess is 8 or 9 females dropping babies in the near future as well! Lots of Stripe stuff in all flavors! I'd like to demonstrate the level of service/communication we provide. Contact me direct if I can help in any way.

Thanks for getting back to me Tom, and allowing for mutually-respectful resolution to these matters.

You were shipped snakes so ill that you could see the snot on one, two are now dead, and yet you SOLD one to an innocent buyer. How do you even have the nerve to complain YOU were sent sick snakes when you turned around and did the same thing to someone else.

Disgusting.

. Turning this around on this dude? We ALL know you shouldn't sell a sick snake,or one you just took into custody until properly quarantined.

The first thing you are more concerned with is that he sold a sick snake that was sold to him. Forget that part for now,get back to him getting sick snakes that died from a seller. It sounds like he's doing the right thing by paying them back. But , I personally would not buy from him since he did sell a sick snake knowing it was in a bag/box with other sick snakes. That's his undoing.

But at least stick to the topic of him being burned begore you jump down his throat like you do on here all the time.

Ut oh. Maybe I should have stayed quite.

I must say, after reading this yesterday, I am scared to DEATH of people like him. It has made me so paranoid now to buy from anyone else, this is the type of thing that's makes it hard for new breeders to start selling and make a name for themselves. This guy has lied so many times threw this thread, has failed to address why he said he was going to sell a sick snake just kept repeating "I don't sell sick snakes" when he sold one a month into quarentine and it had IBD!

Every time I read something about IBD it scares me and makes me look at my boas as a plague waiting to happen, I've been told it's actually rare, I don't know much about it other than once one gets it your better off putting down every single snake. And Kevin sold him a snake like that?? Makes me wonder if BOTH knew it was sick and was just trying to dump it onto the next person, 3 collections at least that boa passed threw. Anyone know if these guys actually did shut down, quarentine, and test their collections??

Gus, No Sir.
I received a snake, I had it in quarantine as should be done. Someone requested I sell it. I explained, standing in my living room that the snake had not completed quarantine. The buyer stated that it was OK and that she wanted the snake anyway. Afterward, later, it became ill.

Even though she said it was OK to take the snake before it completed quarantine, and even though it became ill at a later date, I stepped up and replaced that animal with 1, 2, 3 replacement Boas.

Fact, I did not need to do that. I did it because I cared about the buyer. It's really that simple. Very simple......snake became ill "after" it left my home, I stepped up, I replaced it, with "3" snakes :)

If you cared about the buyer you would have said no, it's going to complete quarantine and THEN you can buy it. You saw money. Even said in an email that you were going to try to sell a sick snake in a few days unless it died. So do you care to explain that? Or are you going to continue to ignore your own words?
