    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

The money order the op posted a copy of in post # 394 was a postal money order so i'm assuming if Dean sent others to a wrong address he would have also used postal money orders. Every time I've ever bought a postal money order the cashier at the post office always told me to make sure I kept my portion of the money order, after torn in two pieces, so that if anything happens to the postal money order in transit I can get my money back. If the money order dean sent out was returned to him because the address was wrong I'd imagine it was pretty simple to get the money back if he had both pieces.
 
Congrats on moving towards closure and I'm glad to see things going in the right direction.

Even it was a money order from the bank, if you need the money back in your account most banks (mine at least) allow you to endorse the back with 'Not used for intended purpose'.

As a banker of 20 years, I will support this statement. That is exactly how this situation would be handled by a Bank

I called twice on 1-14(no answer) and Dean texted me back so I then switched to texting as the method of contact. All the messages I left Dean were text messages not voicemails. In case anyone missed it, Dean did send me a payment this week. If it's the first of many, I'd have no problem saying maybe Dean isn't such a bad guy after all. I really don't care that it's going to take longer to pay it off than we agreed to, I really don't, as long as it gets paid. Especially if his situation is half as bad as he says it is. If it's the only 1 that ever comes, well that would be a different story. I'm still in the "wait and see" category. Once we hit the half way point, I'll switch to optimistic. :D Go outside people, it's a beautiful day. :thumbsup:

Dean texted me last Thursday and said he'd be sending out at least $200 on Monday(yesterday). I only check my P.O.Box on Fridays so I won't know until then if it's there. :thumbsup:
 
No such luck. I sent Dean a text on Monday to ask him why I didn't get a payment. He said it got sent out a little later than he expected but it should be here this week. I'll check for it again on Friday... :shrug01:

Please Dean prove us believers right!!! I am really hoping, hoping, hoping that this turns out positive!! Okay, positive is wrong since it got this far but at least make it fair!!

I am sorry Chris as I bet it was a letdown of your trust! Fingers crossed that this Friday you get a check!!
