In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

debroahbroadus banned?

LMFAO

If you dont understand, dont worry about it.

Steve, ignore Chris's attempt to act clever.:ack2:
Chris doesn't understand that like some of my family that I can't break of the habit of calling me "Debbie" (sigh)...sometimes I let it go when I know the intention is not to belittle or disrespect.

Others that know my name preference show respect by calling me by my given name. While others show disrespect by continuing to call me by the hated name after after I have made my preference known.

Harald has never called me anything but DEBORAH, once I made my preference known.:reddevil:

**Chris, I have not told Steve about my preference because most of the time we are talking about my passion... BPs...so, it slips my mind and he hasn't been in chat calling me by that name constantly. Therefore, it's NOT an issue between him and I. You, however, told me that you weren't calling me anything but the name of YOUR choice..now was that very respectful?

Yeah...I'M BACK!:dgrin:

Some people are particular about their names.

I can understand that.

My daughter is one of them. Her full name is Katherine, but she's always been called Katey, and that's what she prefers. She gets really annoyed when someone assumes her name is Kathy.

Deborah-now that I know that you have a preference for your full name, I'll use that!! I didn't know that before.

No problem! It's the motive behind the use of certain names after a preference was stated that was being addressed and the attitude that came along with it. ;)

I certainly know when someone is simply using a diminutive form of the name because it's "easier" (doesn't mean it doesn't hurt my eyes..just means I don't make a big deal of it). :yesnod:

But I really thank you for the respect.

BTW: There is actually already a Deb who is a BP breeder...:yesnod:

My heart-felt thanks!

Yes, I agree...:iagree: some of us are particular. I know my own boys made their preferences known after they reached a certain age. They no longer wanted to be called by the nicknames that I so lovingly had bestowed on them. They wanted to use their given names..it's a part of growing up.

Harald once pointed out that my Business name was DEB's. But it's not a diminutive form of Deborah it was my initials Deborah Elaine Broadus-Muskauski...:)

Funny story.

Katey was about 4 or 5 years old, and and she, my Mom, and I were gong over to Canada via the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls, NY.

This was not only right about the time that they started to demand birth certificates for children at the border due to parents absconding to Canada in custody disputes, it was right in the middle of the Barney the Dinosaur rage.

Well, we got to the booth where they ask about citizenship, and they asked about Katey's birth certificate, and we didn't know we had to have it, so they sent us into the immigration office to sort it out.

Katey had been asleep, and she's NEVER been pleasant to deal with when she's abruptly woke up.

The guy in the office asked for all the papers I had for her, and all I had was her medical card, etc.

Now-you would have thought that he would take one look at Katey and realize that she wasn't a happy camper.

He asked her if I was her Mommy. She said yes.

He asked if my Mom was Grandma, and she said no. She always called her Ma, 'cause that's what I called her, and she thought that was her name.

He asked her if her name was Kathy, and she WAILED NO.

He asked what her name was, and she said "My name is BABY BOP!!"

The guy told us to go into Canada, get what we came for, and get the Hell out, and not to come back with out her birth certificate.

While all of this was going on, there were 3 Hispanics waiting to be seen, and they sat through the whole ordeal laughing their asses off.
