In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Dereks-Dragons (Derek Baisley)

Well, it does appear to be the same Dragon as is in the Ad. It seems, to me, that she is a wee bit longer, than 15 inches, and, yes, she would be just a bit underweight if she recently laid a clutch of eggs.
As for color, if she is going in shed (or is in shed), she would be duller than her actual color.... not to discount the fact that, although some photos can make an animal appear less beautiful than what they truly are, some other photos can make them look just a bit better than what they truly are.
So ... :shrug01:

The picture of her next to the tape measure, her head appears to be up which would mean she's slightly longer than the tape measure, and her tail tip is slightly past the 15" mark. With that picture(and no beardie experiance, just experiance getting measurements from photos for making scale items)I would say she is close to 16". That's close to the 16-17" stated in the ad.

He said he hadn't weighed her but that she weighed 275g last time he did weigh her. Once you get an accurate weight, you can see how far off that was. If he said "She's underweight" or something to that effect, it should be in the email exchanges, right? If not, and she IS significantly underweight, you should be able to show that.

When I have had to return anything due to it not being as described, I was refunded the item price AND THE SHIPPING. The reason for the return was that the SELLER did not describe the item correctly, thus it's their fault the item has to be returned, and thus they should pay the shipping fee.

If the dragon is within the stated length(it appears to be) and weight(yet to be shown), then it may be that the seller can insist on his TOS if he has any.

All of the above my personal opinion based on my own experiances.

Also keep in mind that the 275 is what her previous owner had told me she was. She's layed 2 clutches since then but truthfully I do not trust thjs guy. To feed her a lot before weighing her next week. I know when I shipped her out i loaded her with foood. I have been feeding her a lot more than usual so she can gain back some of hher weight before she drops yet another clutch. She's been on a once a month schedule with her laying. Andvwas only bred once. I only have 1 of the clutches her previous owner has the other 2. The first one is at 74 days in the incubator as of today.

To me she also apears to be around 16 inches. Even if it was only 15 that is not a huge under estimation from 16 and to me would not even begin to be a problem. Also that female appears to be in good health. She doesn't show any signs of being malnourished like you stated. If she was malnourished even feeding her dubias wouldn't make her appear healthy that fast. Her limbs do not seem to be skinny in fact she looks to be in the same health as the male you pictured next to her. Animals grow at different rates. I have cresteds that are double the size of ones of the same age.

Still working on the videos. My scale wont zero out so I have ordered a new one. Again the video will show the pre roach binge and bath/drink.

Derek,

Thank you for the reply. I must inform you that I have been keeping reptiles for 14+years. I would expect that a female that has laid eggs would be skinny but the problem is that she should not have been bred in the first place. She measured 14.5" and you stated in the ad that she was 16-17". My new scale should be here early next week but I can promise this gal is no where near 275g. As for the fertile clutches, there is a bit of an error with your story here. You stated she has been laying eggs for the last 3 months? Yet I asked about if you can confirm she was proven double het and you stated none have hatched. 3 months ='s 90 days. Hatching takes about 65-70 days...

Wrong no the female lays 1 clutch. 30 days another, then 30 days another thats 3 clutches in 60 days. first clutch would not be hatched yet.

even if it doesn't zero out you can still weight something just take the difference in weight.... make a video. Im not convinced on anything until i see the unpacking video but even those can be faked. If the dragon was lost in the male for 2 days I have no doubt they would be hungry and thirsty dragons are pigs. How did the post office call you at 1am they are not open that early as far as I am aware.

Also again, not all dragons cone out of the box looking like gems. She was dekievered a day later than i had thought. So 2 days without food and water. That's why she appeared to be like that. Obviously it wasn't a major problem because she was not in any bad conditions and after u fed and bathed her she was moral again. No dragon is going to look normal if not fed or watered for 2 days. Say what you want but we all see that shes in perfect health..

This is true but, then, it boils down to interpretation and advertising legalities.
Prior to sale, Derek had stated that he was unsure of the weight but that, the last time he knew of, she weighed 275. Although it could lead a buyer into thinking that she must weigh that much, or close to it, Derek did not, actually, state that this was her current weight. Not taking sides here, just pointing some things out.

I will gladly post the phone number and you can call it at 1am and tell me if anyone answers.

There are people that sort the mail....

Video should be done soon. I am posting a video that can be faked Cody? I live in Rapid City, SD not Hollywood...

Anybody can fix a video up. Anybody. But josh I will take your side there that there relly are people there at 1am. They usually won't call ppl that late but they are there. I think they have to wait until after 7am to call but don't quote me on this as I'm not sure

Exactly. Could go either way, but also, Derek has been saying he said she was underweight from laying eggs. The OP says he said 275g. In the ad, there's a posted question asking if she is as robust as the picture, which I did not see answered directly. But it was stated she had been laying eggs.

Gray area. A buyer could either assume she would weigh less due to laying eggs, OR that she would now weigh 275g after laying eggs.

Is there a posted TOS anywhere from Derek?

No TOS was stated by Derek. Again I will accept responsibility for not asking as I did not intend to return her. Amateur move on my part.
