To be honest - I have seen the ads and even saw some things that I wouldn't have minded buying - but the name was enough to dissuade me - it just did not illicit a sense of security in me.

This boggles my mind! I'm curious as to the add that you saw, all of the adds that I have seen posted by Tamara and David are very detailed, containing many pictures, and as much information as possible. I understand if someone says they were thrown off by the name, but if you honestly have looked at any of their adds, how could you have any doubt of their professionalism?

i know i cant spell, write or get my point across via forums sometimes. im also not a bussiness person trying to sell stuff. im a customer browsing forums to get info on sellers before i buy.


personally i dont care what her name is. it can be DSS, bleeding_sarcasm or I.C. weiner for all i care. both people in DSS are intelligent and know the animals they sell.

Sorry I havent been keeping up on this thread, things have been getting busy here, and all I can say is Thank You to everyone who has posted thus far. Everyone has put into words what I would have said far better then I could have, and we really appreciate it!

We try hard to to be respectable and professional in our dealings, and its nice to be recognized as a "good guy"

Man one thing about the BOI is that folks can sure go out of their way to find something to get upset about. Get real Ryan, people are just posting their opinions the same as you, why get your knickers in a wad over it.

I'm not into lizards so have seldom seem their name pop up but I have to agree with those who question the name choice. I thought the same as they did that it was likely just some youngsters idea of a funny. Didn't even open this thread till now as I figured it was someone asking about a bug dealer and I don't buy bugs. What got me to open the thread is the number of post, I figured someone had stepped in it and looked to see what happened.

Yeah it's a funny name but when more than one person says they overlooked your business because of the name, well draw your own conclusion.

Hey if they don't mind having people overlook their business that is their choice.
But when someone starts a thread about them here , well then you'll get all kinds of opinions....Randy

Great Geckos, easy to work with..

I just did a trade with Tamara Locke and picked up a group of Gargoyle Geckos, they were just as she pictured and nice and healthy. Tamara was very easy to work with and answered all of my questions. The geckos were packed perfect, I would definitely do business with her again

Have also talked to Tamara and David on the forums at redtailboa.net and redtailconnect.net and know they are stand up people who love their herps and I am very impressed by what they do.

Realize this is an old thread, but deserves mentioning again, if I ever plan on buying another gecko, it iwill come from dirtystinkystuff.com

Just went back and reread this thread and the nonsense about the name....???? don't get it ---- So, David & Tamara's Geckos would be better choice (or anything else that spelled it all out???)?? don't think so...If i saw an ad for something like that, it would just fade into the background of every other little breeder out there. Dirtystinkingstuff stands out, plus, if it is being advertised in a herp setting, I am going to be intrigued enough to go and check it out...

I haven't actually completed a transaction with Tamara yet, but she has been great to deal with so far. Great communication and really seems to have a passion for reptiles. I wouldn't think twice about buying something from her.

Sorry, but from your other posts on here, it looks like you got alot of opinion expressed, bub! My point is quite similar to what you yourself said, get off the name and realize that Tamara and David are good people to work with. and what does conform to the norm mean? does that mean you insulting the way other people post?? seems you are good at that with the comment about you being able to speak in complete sentences. So maybe you need to take your own advice, hmmmm?

Overall, aside from this nonsense that has gone on in the thread about their name (which I dont' have a clue how someone's name should come under fire in a BOI, unless it was something vulgar and relfected their character) dirtystinkystuff.com is a good site, David and Tamara are good herlp lovers who produce a great line of herps and they are passionate and care about what they are doing....so they are good guys, trust 'em, they won't steer you wrong.
