Jim, I don't know the history between you and Chuck, nor do I particularly care to. I have seen both sides of Chuck, but happily welcomed the return of the "kinder, gentler" persona a ways back. After being away for personal reasons, he surfaced and was greeted by friends...and some BS from you. He appears in this thread, and you again decide to jump in and take some shots. As they used to say on the playground, "You started it".
Fauna is a big place, and there is more than room enough for both of you. If you are that unable to let bygones be bygones, there are plenty of other threads and forums (here) for you to select. If Chuck starts following you around and taking the shots instead of just returning fire, people will likely look at the situation differently.

Explanation: I've had some people complain about the slowness of this system, so I am trying a few things to reduce the server processing to see if I can get it to perk up a little bit. Only way to find out which features will have a noticeable effect is by removing them and then seeing what effect it will have.

I don't think it is really necessary for the display of warning points to show up for each member when they make a post in a thread. The birthdays are a cute option, but each time the main page is displayed, a query has to be run checking the birthdate of EVERY member. I took out the "Who's Online" section for a bit, but didn't like not having that info available.

So there may be more optimizations take place as I experiment.....

I don't know about any of that, but today I have gotten about 20-25 email notifications dated 5/1-5/4

He insults Rich (who I thought you had committed to support) with every post he makes. Yet, you can either not see through the words, or you are not as committed to Fauna as you will have everyone believe.

Regardless, aligning yourself with these two jesters accomplishes nothing except the destruction of your credibility.

I would never have presumed to place you in the group of Wes' minions.
You have always shown yourself to be a level-headed poster and someone's whose opinion is worthy of noting.

I can appreciate your support of your friend, but unless I am completely mistaken, you to, have seen him go too far with his "commentary" on occasion.

Nothing that I have posted was ever directed at you. I think of you as one of the few individuals who appreciates Fauna for what it is and can be and who is not out to cause additional drama.

Wes is good people. I may not always agree with him, even bumped heads a time or two. But I can tell you without doubt there are few people more genuine and even fewer who actually care more about right and wrong then Wes. I proudly call him a friend.

Chuck I dont know as well, but have seen enough of his deeds to know there is more than meets the casual eye. He is another man who cares about right and wrong which is enough to make him a good guy in my book..... and me makes me laugh my ass off to boot.
