i saw this here at someone's profile page. there was a few more but anyone should realize that shipping is stressful on any animal but to be willing to endanger it to get what you want seems like it should be out of the question. i don't know the whole story. that is just what i saw. i won't name names because who can say who i am going to guy from in the future and this person has a good rating as a seller. in fact the only way i came across that is because i was visiting his page to inquire about a dragon. i thought i would just throw that out there after reading this since it seemed to fit as to why he threw a fit about someone not holding a particular dragon for him.

even then he didn't seem to be able to type correctly. i might not use caps all the time but i try to use proper grammer and spelling.

I need to clarify some things about this Bad Guy post by yankee789 aka Chris Kalesnick.

First to clarify Maia Im not the one that wrote/ typed in that way, the original person posting the claim did. I do know many veterinarians are not too good on computers but I am and even wrote publications.

As far as the bad guy post and not knowing how to run a bussiness.... Breeding is not a bussiness for me. I am a veterinarian. I breed for fun. I enjoy these animals and the excitement of producing them. My job as a veterinarian is the main part of my life and consumes a big part of my life. I work many hours every day and am on call for emergencies so even when I may leave the hospital I may have to go back if an emergency is coming especially if that is an exotic.

That said the problems with this transaction first occured when I received many messages from the buyer through out the morning, a good part of them complaing I wasnt answering them. Ok hard to do when I am seeing patients at work. So I still went on to reply to him. Clarified that I am a vet and cleared that up. We then went on to discuss the animal he wanted to purchase, I was on a break from the clinic so I had time to do so while trying to feed and clean all my animals before I went back to work until 10 pm last night. Before money was sent I explained to him it would be hard to ship the gecko out on thursday as I am on a split shift meaning I could possibly leave by 1pm and be able to ship but there is a good chance that I may not because of my profession. I stated tuesday is my weekday off and my best day to ship. He kept stating he would send the money but try hard to ship thursday, I kept giving him the same reply. He sent the money. With the same response of trying to ship it out thursday and gave him my response that I would try but could no gaurantee it. I then informed him I was going back to work and couldnt reply until late that night.

Well....it then turned in to him demanding I shipped the gecko out thursday. Again him sending MANY messages to me that I could not answer because I was at work.

To make this already long story short, I had a break between appointments, replied to him and refunded his money because I didnt want to deal with him any more. I asked him to never contact me again and I informed the fauna moderator. I have every message he has sent me and I have sent him. Even to the point where my messages are 92% full from all of them. It was just too many messages to post plus Im going to back to work againt his morning.

If that makes me a bad bussiness man then so be it. I refunded his money immediatly and was able to reply to his messages when I could. Not every 10 minutes like he sent them. I hope he finds the gecko he wants but it wont be from me.

I truly think this needs thread needs deleted. The op is angry that through his own actions a sale was rejected. Chris I do not need any emails because in my opinion there was no bad transaction. Chris has every right not to sell to someone just as I have the same. I was at a show 2 weeks ago and a young man approached and was looking into one of our geckos. You could tell in the conversation it was an impulse buy not planers nor research. I told him to get his tank set up and all his research done and we will sell him one. He could have gone to another vendor and bought one but I have control of my animals. I would purchase from Chris with no hesitation and if the op had shown a little control he could have to.

You are not the bad guy. It was clear in the first thread that was locked that he was upset he had to wait five days for it to ship and even more upset you refunded his money instead. I would rather wait until Monday (or Tuesday in this case) than to have any live animal shipped on a Thursday and sometimes you have to walk a way from a potentially bad situation. Hopefully, this thread will get closed and removed too, since it adds absolutely no value.

Before anybody else joins that chant - we do not delete BOI threads unless they are in violation of certain rules. As I stated to Dr Stancel last evening, if things were as simple as they seemed, a bad guy thread by Yankees769 would not reflect badly on him; and that he (Yankees769) would get torn apart if he posted in the same manner he had been.

I, too, find it hard to believe that he is 31, given his postings. I had to post a message on the Doc's visitor board because Yankees had posted 7 messages in 35 minutes (don't bother looking for mine, I removed it when I was sure he had seen it). I also posted to the ad in which Yankees had responded, and closed/removed the first of 3 threads started about this. As a result, I received a group of rapid fire PMs myself.

I do regret not being here when THIS thread was posted, because (after my interactions) I was looking forward to addressing the issues of this case...and helping this guy implode. As it is, Dr Stancel stated his case, and that he returned the money in short order. Good call, sir - nobody needs a customer like that.

As you can see before you even posted this matter was almost summed up to who would be the bad guy. There are to many unprofessional, immature, blow hards to let ruin your day. Your ONE post clarified everything that we needed to know. An I think I have said it in my first post. If Dr. Stancel truly said he would ship immediately, then PROVE it with the e-mails or messages you two exchanged. PROVE that you were the one who demanded your money back, rather than him becoming fed up with your temper tantrums and giving it back to get you out of his face. (Which I would have done, too, based on all I've seen of your antics)

Obviously you have TIME to do so...as you expect everyone else in the world to have time to respond instantly to your incessant inquiries.....so....???
