    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

First off I don't understand why you would trade the animals you did for a pair of Sunbeams and a dumeril monitor.  Second do you think that if I were to tell my exporters in every country I import from a week after the animals arrived alive that I want my money back becuse they died they would do that? They would laugh their asses off.  Also if you buy an animal or 10 or 100 from a reptile wholesaler and they arrive alive and die after a week or 10 days, do you think they are going to issue you any kind of credit? HELL NO.  why would anyone do this.  I ship animals that are healthy and only ship animals that I would want to purchase myself, but if the animal arrives alive and the customer is happy with them thats the end of it.  I will not issue any kind of refund or such on those animals.  What I do do sometimes is I make the person a sweeter deal on replacement animals.  Basically if you were unhappy with the animals when they arrived you should have spoken up and not said "but thats ok"  On my shipments from numerous countries in Africa if an animal arrives on deaths door it is a d.o.a. in my books. But if it just looks thin or such unfortunately thats the breaks when it comes to Imports.  And as far as Jody's terms sucking well you agreed to them when you made the deal to begin with, now be a man and abide by them as such wehter you like tem now or not.  It sucks the animals died but they did not die within his said and agreed upon terms.  Personally I gurantee live healthy arrival.  But i am not responsible for carrier delays or mistakes.  Any claims arising from those incidents must be filed with the carrier.  If jody decides to issue you a credit on your next order than great, but if he does not desire to issue you any credits at all, well that is his business practice and thats the end of it. PERIOD.
 
Rob. Why are you speaking for Jody? Do you really think that you are helping Jody when you compare his animals with imports  from African exporters? I think that saying "that's ok" does not get Jody off the hook. You are talking about your policies as far as returns and you are not looking at the moral issue. The facts appear that. 1 Jody shipped thin animals. 2 Jay voiced his concern. 3 Jody told Jay that he would issue some sort of credit or refund. 4 Jody got "pissed off" and changed his mind. Are you saying that you think Jody lived up to his obligations and that you would also do the same thing?<img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>?? If Jody decides to issue a credit or refund than great.  But if he does not he has obligation to.  Did his ad say the animals were fat? no.  He sent pics of the animals on his ad as well. being skinny does not constitute grounds for a refund or credit.  I am not comparing his animals to the ones I import but with import animals you have certain issues that everyone who deals in imports knows about.  It sounds like Jay knew what he was getting into.  If he truly had a problem with the Beams then he should have spoken up and said hre is not happy with them and either wants replacement, refund, or creidt with Jody.  I just think it is rediculous that a customer wants something done almost a week after the sale of the animals.  Also why did Jay wait until now to post on the Boi about this situation?  If a person was upset then they post right away.  If I have a bad deal you better beleive I am going to post it on there immediately.  Again I am sorry that the animals died but this horse is dead.  If Jody wants to issue credit or refund then so be it.  The issue is not between the rest of us any longer.  Jay posted his situation and responses were made and now it is over. I would suggest to Jay to nicely and professionally contact Jody and politely ask him if he will do something about the situation.  I understand that Jay says he is Ill, but being ill does not excuse common courtesy and politeness.  If someone e-mails me or phones me wth an attitude you better beleive they are gonna get more than they bargained for right back at them.
 
Rob-your Jody's friend.and I dont expect you to see this from my side,you guys are friends and of course stick up for eachother.when it comes down to itYOUR FRIEND TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME!!!and SCREWED ME!!I DID NOT agree to fresh W/C.these were to be fully LTC and feeding well.I made sure of this plenty of times before our transaction.NO,being ill for the last year is'nt a good excuse for haveing an attitude twords him,but being ill and getting burnt that bad will cause an attitude.you have to keep in mind that there WERE plenty of conversations about dissapointment,not just the one 5 minutes after i received the animals.ask him about the one 3 hrs after,later that night,and the following day.why wont he speak for himself.are you guys buisness partners?why do you feel it is so impossible that he ripped me off-HE DID.....Jason Kiper

i have to say im very surprised by what i read here about jody.
i have bought  5 snakes at least and never had any problems. he even held a large purchase whilst i paid it off a week at a time.
i found him to be more than fair about the money and the waiting and the animals arrived in good shape and were what he described them as.
it saddens me to think that this situation has come about and also confuses me because i cant imagine him being unfair as jay describes him as being. also given the fact that jody prior to this has had a great reputation it seems so out of his normal procedure to have it all go so wrong. why would he risk it all for this that just doenst make sense.
also the fact that he over reacted a bit in saying he got pissed off and would not issue a credit didnt help his case alot but again maybe the answers become more clear with more information about what went down in the zillions of emails that went back and forth.
i know my response is rather wordy and forgive me im dead tired but i had to say something . i would purchase from jody again without hesitation and would glady give him a good reference or details if anyone needs it.
i am sorry for jay and also the animals that died but i think with a little less sarcasm the solution is right around the corner. both of you should put your pride aside and just agree to find a solution and not make more drama out of it.
one more thing..i think that rob did a good job trying to defend his friend and should be respected for the fact that as a friend he is a noble one.

our conversations were e-mail only.sorry to Jody on the confusion of that one but for some reason i thought he was a she.after our trade i tried getting his phone # and was refused or ignored.i have'nt made ANY false accusations.i want nothing more than for this to a fair deal on both my part and Jody's....Jason Kiper
 
not only did he fail to realize jody is a guy..he never seemed to figure out how to spell his name either.
he also stated orginally that the female died first.
then he said it was the male..henceforth my comment about which snake expired and when.
then roberta comes and tells us that she also got an email with alot of confusion as to which snake was dead.
he says the female was a bit thin..then posts dehydrated.blah blah blah..after responding by email it was ok.
the story is filled with exaggeration confusion and high drama as to his plight including medical illness. geez i have that illness myself..what excuse does that give me i wonder.
i never managed to get into a fight with jody about anything just because i was feeling low or whatever..frankly he was one of the people that helped me out versus this took advantage of me aspect of things.
i think that jay took an opportunity to nail jody to a cross because john boavoyage asked for information about jody.
seeing an opportunity to get a good reaction versus coming here a long time ago he plays himself as the poor me guy and slams jody against the wall..jody of course doesnt help himself by acting the way he does saying he was pissed but i forgive that as the more i watch jay react the more i think jody is taking the hits versus giving in to blackmail.
after a while if people think its ok to try to play the im going to report you if i dont get to rape you act what do we have left for ourselves?
again..i think in a distracted way so if its hard to follow im sorry..its not intentional and the best i can do right now.
perhaps jay would be wise to shut up..quit trying to belittle jody and just issue an email asking for whatever you think you deserve and see what happens.
the fact that you keep egging him on and acting sarcastic is a good reference to the way you operate and i dont think that your going to get the public support the way you think  you will if you continue on with that attitude.

Kim-you dont know me,or anything about me so dont judge or call me a liar,please.if you think you know all then you would know that when i first saw his add,yes there was a link to his site,i would get to his opening page and nothing would show up.my computer at the time was old,and i sort of blamed it on that because it happened on other sites as well.as for lately,have'nt seen any of his adds and just have'nt tried finding his site
 
i have news for you jay..my computer was old too.
if you hit the home or the contact us button the phone address and all infomation was right there.
it is not a big website and my ten year old computer..thankfully i know longer have to use it but needless to say..it was old..slow and almost prehistoric..if you could get to the website you could get to the phone number through the contact us page.

If you read this thread from the beginning to end, you will see both individuals business ethics in their posts. I think Jay posted to the INQUIRY because that is what he wanted to do. Good or bad(this one was bad) That does not mean he was out to get Jody. This BOI is here to keep people honest and FAIR. Just because you have a 4hr satisfaction policy does not mean that it is fair. Adjustments can be made at the owners discretion. I think that Jody is making a mistake by leaving Jay unsatisfied. But, as it has been pointed out, that is up to Jody.

  I think alot more people would post their experiences here, IF they did not always end up being attacked.

then it seems some of your " facts" are confused.
why you get attacked as you call it is because you keep stating facts that simply arent facts at all.
jody showed us an email with his phone number right on it addressed to you.
one of your facts was that he would not give you his number.
now he has proven that fact wrong and therefore it is no longer a fact but fiction.
if you want to make accusations towards a person like they are a ripp off artist and wont give out their number and then they prove you wrong then what do you expect people to think
how do we know that there isent more proof that your not exagerating your claim. do you have a picture of the skinny snake?
