In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have been waiting to get back the majority of responses from the Top tier breeders before posting this and now that all opinions are leaning the same way..
Long and short of it, I bred this female last year and she did not produce. I kept her out of the cycle this season because she had not been eating like I thought she should and the health of my animals always comes first. she then suprises me with a clutch of 8 completely fertile eggs. Had to go back to my paper records, switched to herp software not too long ago, and see I had bred her to my cinny male. Wasn't too excited as i already had a few possible cinny clutches in the works.
After the first baby pips we start cutting and I am am happy to see some very nice cinnamons and what appeared to be exceptional normals. The last egg cut i glanced and wrote off as cinni when my wife took a better look and stated "Honey, I don't think that's a cinny..". So I look again and from what little i can see start wondering how the heck a pewter got in there. Well when he crawled out..pewter went out the window. Have sent and sicussed pics with Ralph Davis, Justin kolbylka, Greg Graziani, Sloan reptiles and Sam (aka bones93) and noone can identify my new boy and opinion is leaning towards mom being a possible new genetic. Enough talkin, here are a few pics.

Any chance the parents were het axanthic?? Awesome discovery! Congrats!!

That's one theory I haven't heard yet but does make some sense. I bought the mom with a group of other normal females and nothing was mentioned about any possible het. Same with the dad, but he did have a small amount of odd speckling that seems to have landed on the offspring. Here are a couple more sib pics. One of a male I believe may be somewhere between mom and his brother and the second is of a female that shows some of her odd speckling and pattern.

Yea it looks like it could be a hypo or axanthic, but you won't know until you breed him and find out. Congrats on the awesome clutch, either way it'll be fun to find out exactly what that lil guy is.

Thanks All!

Sam- You'll be on the front line of info as he develops, etc, etc.
Going to keep detailed pics and all as he grows.

Wow that's crazy, talk about a huge surprise. I'd keep back everything with the speckling, normals and all. There's obviously something going on here. I can't wait to see what the project unfolds. I'd take each male to a separate normal female to see the outcome. And breed the one back to mom.

This is just amazing. I have no idea what you have there but one thing is for sure. You are going to have some pretty intense breeding seasons coming up, talk about anticipation.

Thanks again for the compliments! We are very excited and already looking forward to what will come of it. I really want to see what is hiding under the cinnamon gene of that boy that is throwing such amazing color and pattern. Then what he will do on some codom females...

He *almost* looks like a Red Axanthic, which would explain the stripe and the speckles on some of the offspring...but he looks too faded/grey to be a RA. :shrug01:

It is a mystery! :D

Yeah, the het red\red axanthic was one of my first suspicions, but Corey Woods nicely shot that one down. My mind has been swirling with the possibilities.
Going to refer to mom and the 2.1 babies that are mini versions of her as Enigma balls. Just have to sort out the 1.3 poss cinny x enigma and the bad boy. Luckily I have the 4 various males to throw around.

I was taking more pictures and realized I have not posted any of this guy's tail. And no, that is not flash. It is his actual tail color.
Also adding a couple shots of a cinny cross sib.
Thanks for enduring my excitement!
