In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

[email protected] any info on this person?

And of course the original photo, played with some more, now you can see another new and exciting morph as well :D :

Okay, forgive that last photoshop having untouched legs, but at least it gives a good contrast..

LOL--wow. Pretty funny.

You know, in all fairness, we should give this person a break. It is very hard to take quality, color accurate photos. I know I go through a ton of photos before I get one that looks right--and I actually have photography training! And indoor lighting is really difficult to deal with. Most indoor lighting will cast a yellow or greenish hue over everything. I dont believe the photo was manipulated--just bad lighting.

The thing is, as much as people can manipulate photos--why? For the quick one sale? If you are breeding bearded dragons--why would you use manipulated photos? You send out the real dragon, the customer would complain to no end and you would get your name smeared or have all your customers beating down your door for refunds.
I think we are hyper aware of the possibility, but it probably happens less than we think --because it is more of a headache than it is worth for the seller....But then, people really do still use the gatorade trick, so who knows.

And yes, green to one person is yellow to another. Not to mention monitor settings...I know that I go to other people's houses and look at my online photos and they look slightly different on every computer. Shoot, my monitor settings were way off for 2 months this fall before Daniel Wedeking finally let me know how light and washed out everything looked (thanks Dan!).

Dana

Yeah - that's great!! LOL! Is that the Christmas special? :D

I agree with Dana, it's just a bad pic, plus everyone's different monitor settings and everyone's opinion on "what is green"
- Well said!
The two 'in question' look like pretty normal dragons to me, they might grow out to have a bit of yellow to them.
As for green dragons - That whole lot started with a pic in the Mailloux book of a rather sickly looking "green phase" dragon photographed in the wild, (if memory serves me correct... ;))
It wasn't really green, he looked pretty normal to me with a little 'grass stain-y green' tint to him. I'm not saying they did anything to the dragon or the pic or anything, it looks legit; but I doubt it's some sort of inheritable trait. If it is, it would need a LOT of work, in my opinion.
I've seen more than my fair share of dragons, (trust me!)
and have yet to come across a "green" one. Sometimes hypomelanistic hatchlings or dragons with a strong yellow background have a green tint to them when they're young, but they always grow out of it.
Just my two cents, for what it's worth.
:)

green dragon

I went to a reptile show in Indy, there were 2 little GREEN dragons, but the person was honest and told me, no they are normal dragons, they just really eat, a lot of greens already, and it has turned the body green, so I guess the greens in the food, does it, (sometimes) I'm not a beardie expert. I did buy one of them, because she was so cute, she is now about 5mths, and a really nice yellow. So not really normal. Just wanted to tell my experience.

New Pictures

Daniel sent me some new pictures. I am posting one of the babies (new to this, might not work). Looks a little different now.
I will send the rest to Rob, I don't really know how to get them to post here. Still too pricey for me!

Christmas Beardies

I think you should save that pic waxworm and fix it up better for when christmas comes around Christmas Spirit Beardies

Chris, I have a better christmas gimmick lined up.. just wait for it :D

fancypet, you have to post your FULL NAME on each and every post in this thread (and most on this forum) or your post will be deleted.

Rob, talk to kevin at dragon's den. he sold daniel the female as green when he had a clutch of green babies. only thing kevin said the parents were hypos and the babies lost there color after about 12 weeks. got this info 3rd hand from friend talking to kevin for me relaying my questions. If you don't buy that leaves more for me.

Where are you getting this info from exactly? Who's your friend? And how are you related to Daniel? Are you Daniel? This is your second post here, and an anonymous one at that. It doesn't ring of credibility.

name/green beardies

Sorry, this is the first time I logged on to this stuff. I had not read the rules. My name (Rob you know me) is SUSIN APRIL TIPPIE. I own the largest hamster farm in the US. D & H PET FARMS,INC. I also breed feeder rodents. I ship all over the US and am starting a petshop line of reptiles for my customers. My friend is Dave L. he works for me at the farm part time. I bought some of the green beardies from Daniel. Dave was sceptical about them and called Kevin about them. Kevin told Dave what I wrote in the first post. Fancypet has been my business name for 13 years. Anything else you want to know?

PHOTOSHOP

Kinda scary to see what can be done using photoshop to alter the coloration of beardies.... what can the scam artists do with the large number of color variations in colubrids and for that matter any species?

Enhanced Picture

Hey waxwormfan, could you make me a designer dragon morph?
I need one to be teal green like the carpet in my bedroom! That could be the start of a new fad.

Daniel may be legit, but he needs to tell people that the babies do not stay green. Maybe he should also provide the background of his dragons. Most people do.

Hi
I am the person that took the pics of the dragons for Daniel. They are not enhanced, they were done with a digital camcorder. I am also his Mother and am really pissed that my son is getting a bad name from creeps like you that are too lazy to call for info or give the kid a chance.
He bred some nice dragons, to the point where a Vet in our area is breeding to his stock. I have also read the post' on the message board and what a viscous and mean spirited bunch of people you all are. Its just a hobby and he was enjoying and he is very proud of what he bred.
I really dont care if you buy it or not because the people that have are very happy so far. Bonnie Martin, Dan's mom my number is 631-434-9036
PS Post this to the message board!!!!!!!

Isnt that just the funniest thing.Wow I feel bad for that kid in the future.

green Bearded dragons

This is Daniel Martin the owner of the "green" bearded dragons.
How come nobody made a big deal when Kevin Dunn advertised green bearded dragons 2 years ago? The dragons are 2 months and have shed at least 4 times and have not lost any of their color. I have talked to Kevin many times, The parents of the mother of these babies were hypos, and the babies that he held back eventually turned ivory, beige or peach. The pic of the mother is of her in hibernation, and Candy King said she looked yellow, not ivory, beige,or peach. When she is awake , she is a patternless green. The pics are legit, the babies are green, if they stay that way, I dont know, but hopefully they will since they look better than their mother when I got her.

Daniel,

I am sorry if you can not see that the pics you sent of the babies look enhanced. It is not just me but if you have read all the post you will see many others thought the same thing. Your hand is green, the carpet is not the correct color and neither are the dragons. Also the reason that no one made a big deal if Kevin advertised them is Kevin is a well known breeder in the reptile community, unfortunately you are unknown to just about everyone. That was the reason on the inquiry on here to find out more information about if anyone had purchased from you or heard anything about you had you said ANYTHING about your female being produced by Kevin then I could have contacted Kevin to get more information on her and the true possibilities of them being green , but you did not say a word about that. So as I stated in my last e-mail to you
Thanks for e-mailing me back. I am not the only person that says the pics are enhanced. In the pic your hand is green as well. Don't worry about sending any more pictures to me. thanks for your time.

I assume this is the same person, on KS:

When you look at the pic it appears that the area in direct light is a yellow color and the area in the shade appears to be green!

Maybe we need a good pic of the whole animal in direct light?

Scott Collien

Not to mention the shadows are blue- look on the left under the body of the Bearded and on the individual's hand for the most distinct blue.

I assume this is the same person, on KS:

The blue may be from the over head UV light? Mine gives off a blue tint on anything that comes under it, maybe I can sell blue beardies!

I still think we need a decent pic under direct light, sunlight would be real good!
