People email each other all the time regarding inquiries here - to notify them of the thread, to offer their two cents on either party, etc. While I agree that it was a pretty crappy move on Dan's part, I personally don't see it as warranting his removal here (one mod's opinion, and may not reflect the opinion of other mods or admin).

PLEASE, lets let him remain on fauna, there is nothing on tv tonight and I have to stay home and work...
 
This means I can no longer research and inquire as to the reputation of any merchant on through this forum for fear of Dan attempting to derail negotiations. This once again leaves me vulnerable to being scammed once more and anyone on the site runs the same risk is this not attempting to subvert the function of this forum (also just my opinion)?
 
Below is the complaint I just filed with KS:

Sorry about the double post (mistake). I'm willing to be that even if KS doesn't do much when it comes to their non-paying customers getting scammed they are certainly going to care when their business is directly being affected.

If I feel it necessary to warn someone I have done business with in the past about your scam, I can do that. Freedom of speech.

I have done business with Jim before and it was justified that he be aware that you are a scammer.

Now when are you going to stop sidetracking and give send back the 3 good snakes or the money.

Isn't what I posted here protected under freedom of speech too? yet here you are threatening to sue me. As for the corpses of those animals they are evidence and it would be dumb of me to dispose of them in any way.
 
You should of returned them the following day or days after as directed and at the dozens of emails and calls that were directed to you and your roommate.

Instead you held them and kept them as pets for many months and they are alive as far as I know now since you never emailed any photos of them dead and you have a great camera.

So you kept the snakes and was able to abuse the system to get a refund.

What is your next scam?

Are you going to tell Jim that you are out of town and send the snake to your roommate and pull the same garbage? Nope. Your scam failed. He was saved the trouble as anyone will be when they read how you robbed and defraud our government.

I hope you don't think I am picking on you by asking you direct questions, but you were very polite and nice in answering my last ones on page 31, so i thought i would ask a few more that may help clear up some inconsistancies. Please don't think i am taking sides, but some things you say are later contradicted by yourself, so i thought i would ask you in a nice way to defend your own statements to add credibilty to yourself.

You mentioned that you do not do this as a business, but as a hobby. How do you explain the above quote in which you say someone is trying to harm your "BUSINESS"?

I was doing great with breeding many rare and exotic snakes and needed an outlet for the offspring so started marketing them and it mushroomed into a business. I think most folks in the business started doing it as a hobby also.

What you might like to know is that there are many attorney's out there that are hungry for business and they keep 30 percent of what they can recover from slander and other types of defamation suites. Dan, I don't want to show my hand too early, but I happen to be VERY familiar with the legal system, both criminal and civil, and suggest that you please investigate the definition of slander before bringing any of this silliness to an attorney and asking him to risk his reputation by attempting to toss this junk into an already overwhelmed court schedule. At this point in time you do not meet the criteria for victim of slander. Look it up and you will instantly see what i mean. I know you really know better, but some people here may think that you really believe you could use the already burdoned court system to spank your playmates for not playing nice to you here. Most moderately intellegent people recognize that the threat of civil litagation on public forums that have gotten out of hand, such as this has, is not a realistic scare tactic, especially from someone who has been calling many of the people he is trying to scare with the threat of litagation so many names that, in some cases would almost qualify as lible.

Again, I'm just trying to be helpful to you, so please don't take this any other way. Also, everyone please excuse my poor spelling.
