So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

My 2 Cents Worth on this

I bought baby veileds from Duane early this year, he was amazing.

He sent me full care info threw email before, during and after the sale and also sent care info with them.

I also has enough brains to do alot of research about caging, heat, feeding etc and confirned what I was unsure about before I bought them.

I bought 10 and did not have any problems with them at all, sold them later at a higher age and did well with my sales.

Duane and his wife are very smart people, they stand behind their chameleons and provide intense care support as well.

You may think he breeds a ton and if he does oh well, he cares for htem very well.

I myself have 2 females, 1 laid 69 eggs and is due to lay again ina acouple of weeks, the other will lay next week (guessing on average she will lay 50 eggs)

It does not take many veileds to have tons of babies for sale and as for boxes stacked up, what do you think sellers whould do with them?

I haev boxes stacked all over my house, on the frig, the closets are full and I have a huge cabinet in the basement for them. I reuse bozes and the fact that if you buy 1 its $5, 100 $2.50

Its much easier to have tons of boxes ready for shipping than to have to fuss around to pack animals at 4pm for a 5pm pick up

I just think that this is all a bit odd, I had never bought baby chams before I bought them from Duane, had never even owned a cham under 4 months old before and never a veiled and did not have any problems from them or him.

I also believed in him so much, I bought 3 Nosy bes a bit later this year and they were excellent as well!

I am getting anonther male though since I have 2 more females coming, not sure if he could keep up with more than he has lol

your right . I know they have been in the business a long time they know tons about chameleons and so do I. I talked to janene for the first time civilly two nights ago when I got a phone call from???? so I called her an woke her up and we actually, talked. Seems like we sure got someone all excited with the hate and cruelty spiting out from people who don't know either of us. What the Beatties do is there business and not mine. I was shocked when I saw that box, and I was very hurt by what I got. I was so excited and this was my first mail order and those babies where so tiny and a 24 hr struggle. then I got real angry and haven't slept, and posting made me feel like it was making a difference. but its over, whats done is done. and hopefully life is better in the future for all!!!!! Hey chris, I do think that cap would look better on you though!!

How is it that no one is allowed to contact you without it being harrasment yet you still come around here and continue to grace us with your antics? Glad to know you know tons about chameleons:rofl: . I guess thats why you have them in the wrong conditions (ie a free ranging childrens program). Stupidity seems to know no end...

I am sorry you had a problem, but I was a baby chameleon idiot when I got my order and I ordered 3 week olds so I could try to raise babies before trying to breed veileds.

They are 1/4" when I received them and 3/8" by 5 weeks of age

When you measure a chams size you include the tail unless you are starting snout to vent and the pics you have up look like 3" with tail which probably is 5 weeks old

A quarter is almost exaclty 1" diamerter and your pics show the body to be the length of the quarter and the tail is normally a couple of inches so that would be 3" 5 week old veileds.

I don't want to get into a battle with all these post about this, but a heating pad and no water would kill them fast, I also do not see why you would think you would drown them in a screen cage by misting them as it was said you were scared to give them water for fear of them drowning in it.

When I got in my orders from Duane I had the cage set up for at least 3 days before they arrived to adjust heat and lighting. When they arrived I put them in as soon as I opened the box, cut on the mister and as soon as it stopped running I fed them.

I al plannign on buying a ton more from Duane this spring and hate that you had problems with a great guy!

dude relax, the hate and meaness you're spitting at me makes no sense. I was upset and hurt by a loss of four babies. chris I dont know if your a dad or not old enough to be but later in life it hurts more to see things die. I think I do have a right to tell about it as long as I tell my side as honest as possible. I've done that. And come on, I started with incubater on the first page at the vets and brought it home with me. NOT A HEATING PAD I just counted about 10 posts of you calling me names and hating me because I'm sad four of my new chameleons died. And I can do one of two things, I can hate you back or I could try to soften this overly harsh thread, so I gave your cap back to you. I still have a loss of four little girls so I may write here again. But you don't have to.

Have 4 kids dress up as chameleons on Halloween and ring her bell. Instead of saying trick or treat we can have them beg for water. We'll never hear from her again.

JUST because duane says I was afraid to give them water does'nt make it so. I've had lizards ,chams, snakes, just about every pet there is. I know lots about veileds and how to care for them. I know that duane may not be responsible for what happened that first 24 hrs, all I do know is 4 died, The vet said they were in shock and dehydrated. And she couldn't save the fourth one. If I didn't know what I was doing I wouldn't have ordered them. Now my little guys were just Perfect temperature in the day and drops 8 to 10 degrees at night depending where they sleep, they have this all to themselves. All the plants in there are safe or edible, and the kids only watch them thru glass. And they have lots of area to hide if they don't want to be seen. I feed them something different every day, And other then that they are free and to themselves which they prefer. The only thing I change from their prefered environment is the humidity is higher till I teach them to drink from a dish or till they can go longer without this mistings, the floor stays fairly dry and clean. Their color is great and they seem happy.

And now your just mean and obviously alone. why don't you quit wasting your life hating, and try placing an ad on the lonely hearts column. THEN I COULD READ IT AND MAKE FUN OF YOU!!!!!

6th line down I wrote: now my little guys have moved to the Greenhouse with an automatic thermostat to keep them at perfect temperature. Also this is a viewing room for special needs children I just added living things to make it more beautiful.

For 1, chameleons do not drink from a dish, they drink from the plant leaves and when dripped and misted. Come on now, drinking from a dish>

For 2, what glass, why are they in glass, and what do you mean by the floor stays fairly dry and clean? Screen cages allow the water to go threw to a drip pan, my cage floors are always clean and dry! The water go right threw.

i personally think both are at fault for agreeing to the shipping method, but vikki and chuck have no merit cause the ad doesnt state how old they are. the size of the chams one week later suggest a 4-6 week old cham. where is the pictures of the ones with "egg" still stuck to it like you claim they arrived, those pics if you would produce them would be proof enough that he lied.

Well Doom, I never posted I didnt believe either side of the parties story. But I do think youre trying to carry over my doubt about your story and that wicked imagination you seem to have.

But in the future you really shouldnt attempt to bait people into an arguement by posting off topic. It will only get you warned by the moderator and possibly fined. God knows with all your recent thefts, money may be hard to come by these days.
