Rory - that's too funny (and true).

One of the many reasons the BOI is not taken seriously by me.

As for hatching and rearing the Green Tree Pythons... Many people think I am alone and will be doing this by myself. Not true. Spencer - a few breeders have offered their support and help to me via email. As a matter of fact I really only have to get them to breed. I have several places to send the babies already if I have trouble getting them started. While I am new to breeding chondro's I am somewhat experienced in breeding snakes in general - and have a lot of experience in the management of a whole lot of baby snakes. We'll see, won't we?

A few green tree python breeders love my idea and agree with what I am doing. I have nothing but time and the dedication to do it. Funny thing is I am only 34 years old and I am gonna be doing this for many, many years to come. No hurry. Actually I was very surprised at what a few people communicated to me - and how awesome of an idea they think it is.

Jim_O - I have something to say to you and it is coming straight from my heart. I feel pity for you. There is no reason for you to be in here doing this. Me, I was dragged in here by someone else. I did not ask for this. Yes, I stayed - but this was a BOI thread started to show everyone what a jerk I am. You - you have no dog in this fight and continue to poke and poke and poke.

What's the deal man? Actually, please --- never mind. I don't care.

I know something is coming back at me for writing this to you so have at it. Nothing in here surprises me anymore. This is fizzling out and after 280 posts there has not been ONE PERSON that has actually dealt with me and has a "bad guy." Sure I mouthed off to Rich Z. - but as has been demonstrated in here: I made amends for that years ago.

Peter you keep mentioning these Chondro breeders like you have Trooper backing ya up.. Now if your going to throw them out over and over might want to own up and say who they are?? If they didn't want their names out there, they should have stayed out of it or made sure you wouldn't drag them into this which you have done.. I know you wont say who it was because it's likely BS or someone that hatched a couple eggs once or twice..

This was a simple thing Peter ,, you could have made your first post very short and this would have gone away. A simple "I'm sorry" would have put it to bed.. Instead you keep making it bigger and bigger.. You can think it's joke all you want but you've shot yourself in the foot so many times here must hurt to walk... Ravensgait --- no one like Trooper and I guess no one that is "big time". But a couple of guys with some experience have expressed the willingness to help. No one asked to remain anonymous but I assumed that was wanted. We'll see. It does not matter. As soon as this BOI thread fizzles out I am going to put my new website together and photograph all of my green tree pythons for the website. Between now and June (when my wife is due with our third son) that is what I will spend my free time on - after my boys go to bed at night.

I guess I should have stated it like that - you are right - I don't have any help from anyone that has done this for years and years. Well, actually, one guy that emailed me is "credentialed" but I had never heard of him before. Some help is better than no help and it sure was nice to get a few friendly emails.

Speaking of that - several people in here have posted that they had great experiences with me. These were all people that have actually met me. No one that has posted hatred in here for me has ever met me.

Also - Rory; it's noteworthy that the people who give me the warning points are a lot of the people that are attacking me. They then choose to ignore the violations of the other people that are attacking me. Makes you wonder why people put any stock in any of the opinions expressed against anyone on the BOI.

I am sure that a lot of people are curious about that and would rather not see that question brushed under the rug.

The BOI is well respected.

Not all of fauna's moderators share that respect.

You've taken, and asked for, some well deserved heat.

You're not impressing anyone though you are amusing more than a few.

The thing is, I suspect, you don't understand hubris. You have a very bad case of it right now.

It's a shame really, but not a surprise, not at all.

Hubris or hybris (Greek ὕβρις), according to its modern usage, is exaggerated self pride or self-confidence, often resulting in fatal retribution. In Ancient Greek hubris referred to actions taken in order to shame the victim, thereby making oneself seem superior.


GUILTY AS CHARGED. It is one of my (many) flaws!

Hubris: a well known and often displayed characteristic here, not limited to any one contributor, often the cause for many threads surviving well beyond their otherwise expected shelf-life. There is no table limit on how much one can have when playing here.

Yup yup yup... there are a couple other posts from different folks that are name calling and a tad abusive, as well. How many of us knew from the first time Peter was warned that he would most likely be the only one to get dinged though?
