In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Edgar alvan from west coast dragon lair

Saturday I gave Edgar a call wanting to purchase one of his dragons.
We agreed to send money order today, I than text him this morning saying the money order has been sent and ill have the tracking number when I get my lunch break.
He replays with ok

Two hours later I recieve a message that he sold it to someone else.

Horrible business would not buy from him again.

Where is the text where you told him it had been sent?

We both agreed on Saturday that I would send it out first thing in the a.m. Which I did. Text or no text that's what we agreed upon ,My girl sent it at 10 30 , I told him at 9 am I would have the tracking number bye 12 , he said "ok", than 15 min before twelve he said he sold it to someone else

You claim to have a text informing him that you sent him the MO. That is pretty critical to your story. You need to post it.

So you didn't really tell him that it had been sent like you said you did?

Right, then at 12:01 or whatever the seller told the OP it had been sold.

I suppose the tracking number should have been provided at 10:30; perhaps the other sale could have been averted.

Possibly. Probably no big deal, I was just questioning the discrepancy.

Please read the whol thread, I was at work , the only reason I told him tracking number will be informed at noon is thts when i get my lunch break to contact my gf, she DID send it out at 1030, I even told him at nine I will have the number by 12, at 11 45 he said it has been sold. Take it how you want, but that's horrible business.

I read the whole thread. I don't think he should have backed out on you. I was trying to determine if he knew you had already sent out the money like you said he did.

If you look at the first picture posted for him on page two it says in the post office use only section "time accepted 10:(something I couldn't make it out)am. So he is not lying about sending it at 10. There is a message saying he will have the tracking number at noon. I don't see a message that says "sent" though. All things considered the guy is just a poor seller period. He made an agreement he could have at least waited until noon like he agreed before backing out.
Dont worry some people may sink there teeth into whatever they see as tangible evidence that you may be lying but the actual evidence shows something different. Good luck to you. Hope you at least get your money back.

I wasn't trying to sink my teeth into anything. To back out on a deal is bad, but to do so after payment has been sent is much worse in my opinion. I was just trying to figure out which way it went.

Off subject please excuse any part of that that sounded argumentative. Bad day. Sorry.

I hope your day gets better.:)

I don't think there is one- I think he's saying that the 'should have that tracking number for you by my lunch' break is the 'sent off' text. IDK- maybe he just misread it? It doesn't say, hey sent the money, I'll have the tracking number later. He could have thought that you were sending at noon when you'd have the tracking number. Still not so good selling practice, but better then him trying to scam.

( in my opinion)It seems to me that the op in this thread should have sent the tracking number at time of sending... I have had many experiences were people say they are going to send a payment later and never hear from them again... I would have sold it as well unless u had sent me a tracking number or I received payment. you sent him a text saying you would send a tracking number at lunch.. when u could of sent it at that time...

2min is 2min he took time to send the text saying he would send at lunch to me that sounds as though u were going to send to money order at lunch.. and he clearly sent you a text before your lunch break saying to hold off on sending.

has anyone checked the tracking number, what time was the money order tracking number scanned into the system? maybe the reason Edgar has not responded is because this is a case of the op getting his feelings hurt.

Now on the otherhand if the OP does not get his money back that is another thing alltogether

According to this he texted him the Mo ey order was sent.

I person ally have had several people claim to have sent mean email money transfer and I never see the money or hear from them again. Unfortunately if you tell me the money is on its way but you never give me proof then the animal is not sold and the deal isn't done.

I hope you get the money order back in a timely manner.

Some people will accept that money is on the way, then if nothing is received, confirm back to the interested buyer and give a deadline for response/money before selling it out to someone else. Business sure has changed a lot. I know there's lots of flakes but I feel bad for the OP in this situation.
