In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Edward DiCarlo

Sometimes a vet visit won't do scrap for a reptile, we all know this. There is little a vet can do for a gnarly eater... He'll just have to pull the tricks he knows on the poor little thing. I like to think of silly eaters as lactose intollerant people
"I love ice cream!....aw crap.... BLAAAAAAAH"
Sometimes they just dont know whats going to happen if they swallow their mealie! That or they're angsty....

Bill... Does the Moonglow have a kinked tail? Was that said by chance by you, as Edward mentioned in his initial post? I'm curious....

And, if yes... Can we have a pic?

here is the picture of the kinked tail

Looks kinked to me also... Edward, anything to say in regards to this, a kinked tail that wasn't disclosed and 'ok'd' by Bill is a refund, if that's what Bill wants.

And I'm sure that is what he wants with the 'basket case' you shipped him..

Edward, you owe Bill at this point right there on a non disclosed kink! You're done right there..

Edward, it is sort of hard to keep up with two threads, but the first post/picture in the other thread is a picture of this snake and the tail area where this obvious kink is, is hidden.
What's up with that?
Gurges are one thing, and there has been some back and forth and difference of opinion, but an undisclosed kink on a high dollar snake is another thing completely. If the snake was sent with a kink, I have to agree with Tom, it is refund time.

Edward:

>>Your ad said that she was a very fine example of a moonglow which we all see she isnt and your ad also said the this moonglow was pounding large mice...Now we know a small boa 2 months old isnt going to be pounding LARGE mice so you falsely advertised her giving everyone including me the impression that she was a larger older snake not only that you didnt disclose her kinked tail either...

So how about you stand behind your snake and honor your WRITTEN terms and issue me a refund.....then no hard feelings from me.....its done and over... what do say?

Looks kinked to me, too. Between that, the adult mice, and the way you've handled yourself in these two threads, Eddie, you've got some making up to do.

I'd like to think you didn't know about the kink, but that pic looks way too 'convenient' to me.

I agree. This is starting to look like deceit from the get go. Buyer receives kinked snake and the original photo did not include tail. Buyer reports regurge and the sellers orignial ad is restored which indicates, in my opinion, the seller was feeding meals that were too large and quite possible could have have started this regurge issue.

I have been breeding buying and selling snakes before most of these newbie sellers were even born.

Just because people are young or not in their 70's doesn't make everyone a newbie or give you the right to talk down to everyone. So much has been learned since the 70's and "ol timers" really started a snake buying/selling hobby. Feeding a questionable regurger less then 24 hours after getting off a plane wouldn't lead me to believe that you have 40 years of experience but in your old age that could have slipped your mind for a minute.

You notified him right after arriving, thats good, If he was a good seller an agreement could of been made to either extend the warranty till first feeding or atleast a few more days since you had concerns. The kink is a whole different story, if it was the only one he has produced I would assume he has looked it over very well and was aware of the kink. At this point a refund or return of animal is definetely in order. But as far as the regurge both parties could point fingers.

>I agonize to anyone that may have been offended by the term newbie! I just meant "NEWBIE SNAKE DEALERS" and again nothing wrong with being a newbie snake dealer as long as you have great customer service and stand behind you snakes and honor your written terms... UNLIKE EDWARD DICARLO!

>Im not in my 70's and nothing slipped my mind....A plane ride of less than 20 hours is not going to upset a stomach of a snake. Like I said before Ive done it thousands of times and never had a snake puck because if it...After the arrival and 24 hours of settling in to a nice warm cage...... if the snakes wants to eat then he is not stressed! This plane ride is so smooth its like sitting in his dark hide box most of the ride! If you never tried feeding a snake 24 hours after a plane ride then how do you know its bad for them.....Everyone one has their own idea and practices that work for them this has always worked for me and if you think its not a good idea then you dont do it, but dont get down on me for doing something I ve learned doesnt effect a snake! Its that easy. But let me warn you...when you get a snake in from someone and you wait that week for it to settle in as you recommend than go and feed it. If it throws up and you realize that you were sent a sick snake. When you call that snake dealer and say it came in sick....9 times out of ten the dealer will tell you that you had it a week so it must have caught something from you...

>What caused the regurging in my eyes is him letting this 2 month old pound large mice as he put it in his ad.. When I read that it was pounding large mice then i assumed it larger and older than it is. 2 month old baby boa cant handle being feed large mice and pounding them at that!

I have no opinion on the feeding after shipping. I see Bill's reasoning behind it. I would think if the snake was stressed, it wouldn't take the food.

I do however, agree that the poor thing is regurging because of being fed large mice.
a 2 month old boa doesn't need to be eating such large meals.
