    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. I inquired to one of Eli's adds for a Crested Gecko on Pangea's Forum. He gave 4 quick responses to me - 1) If I was serious because he had 3 other people interested, 2)He did not yet accept PayPal, 3) name and address, 4) shipping price. After I told him I had shipped the money order of $120 (with tracking and signature conformation) on a Monday and he never answered again.

I always attempted contact through the forum private messages so I could check for answers at work and the forum shows who has been online in the last 24 hours thus I know he recieved my messages. He also continued to post ads now saying he wanted to sell all of his Cresteds as he wanted to get out of breeding them, but still no answer. The following Friday I checked the postal tracking number again and he had finally picked it up. It's been 2 weeks since first contact and nothing.

Other buyers please be wary as he still has ads posted at least on Pangea.
 
This Eli is a crook, he is (was) part of a fake animals rescue in Sanford called save a life pet rescue (something like that) his partner is a girl named Colette (last name started with a P I think). They would go to yhe locale pound and get puppies and kittens for free by saying they were going to adopt them out but in realality they were selling them on craigs list and the news papers for hundreads on dollars. There was a big stick over this and I believe the state put a ened to it. I have heard that that they are still going to the locale petsmarts and adopting animals out?

I agree with Kevin. Why would anyone with serious intentions use a business name such as "BadAssHerps.com"? :shrug01:
 
He had been on Pangea for a long time and seemed well known. That's why I didn't ask about him first here. Just goes to show you. Only thing is, there are a lot of new people on Pangea that don't know about this site and could get conned because I can't say anything on that site.
 
Hopefully he will come on here and explain himself and make it right. I mean when you are a rockstar and making $250,000 a year or more this should be pretty easy to clear up.
 
I have dealt with Eli before, and all went well. This was about 2 years ago though and I haven't talked to him much since, just see him on the forums on and off.

Hopefully he will come and resolve this, Kita have you notified him of this thread?

From the Pangea site rules:
"8. Please do not post inquiries about other breeders and dealers, or discuss your experiences with other breeders and dealers here on the forums. We simply don't have the legal resources to deal with any potential libel claims and lawsuits. If you do want to inquire about or check out any breeders or individuals the Fauna Board of Inquiry is the place to do it."

However, it also says:
"3. Please report any and all questionable activity to me or one of the mods."

So Kita, if nothing else, after you make sure Eli knows about this thread, I'd also think about sending a private message to Matt Parks there so he's aware of it. I don't know if he'll do anything about it (especially if you don't have proof posted) but it might be good for him to be aware of since Eli is a mod there. I know if I was running a forum and one of the mods was scamming people, I would want to know, but I'd also want proof before I took any action.
 
Kita, Eli is a good guy. I'm sure there is a logical explanation for the delay in shipping. I have purchased gecs from him before in the past. Last one he did ship out late with little communication, But he did send.

I could probablly take legal action against you for that statement.

:rolleyes: Possibly because the said person doesn't concern himself with traditional thinking and instead blazes his own trail. Seeing in how I had a successful crested gecko breeding business for 5 years I would imagine it wasn't a bad choice either.

Just a good guy with a crazy life that is bowing out of the reptile biz because he can't be as responsible as he should be.
