Donel: You are right about that, but the death of the snake would not change the hood pattern on the cobra.
Now here is the problem with everyone else trying to get involved without having all the details. Ray could not have sent Shaun another cobra, becaus it was his last venomoid monocle cobra before he stopped dealing in venomoids. The snake could not be replaced! The credit Ray gave Shaun WAS for the cobra. He could not have offered a credit for the cooks boas, because as you must have read over and over, Ray knew nothing about the dead coks boas until Shaun posted it on this thread (about 6 months after the fact). So you heard wrong. If it means so much to a few of you all, why not give him a call and ask him about it? No doubt some of you have had contact with Shaun, why not be fair and get both sides so you know all the facts before posting on a BOI? BTW, I am not trying to stir the pot, as you say, I am just trying to be fair about it. I can't speak for Shaun, as many of you can, but Ray says he is a good guy, and and has no ought with him, and gives him the benefit of the doubt. He posted what he posted because Shaun's initial posts imply that Ray does not do biz up to par (or whatever). When Ray got the pics of the dead cobra from Shaun, we all (3 of us) looked at them, and we all are of the same opinion that they LOOK different. Ray handled it with Shaun with kid's gloves, and Shaun put up no resistance or defense (which does not infer anything). He offered Shaun a credit, largely in part because the owner of the buisness told Ray that that is all he could do under the circumstances. Anyway, Ray says you and he are cool with each other, so why not give him a ring if you want both sides?
ALVARO: I did exactly what you asked... I read the quotes, and still see no place where Ray called Shaun a liar. Implication? yes, but a direct calling of Shaun a liar? NO!. YOU need to read the quotes yourself. Even the last one says "IF (note the word "IF") you would lie.................." Ray did not say "since you would lie..." he said IF. It is generally true that IF someone would lie about one thing, they would also lie about something else. I know this is hair splitting, but that seems to be what you are trying to do. Shauns post implies that Ray is a liar, and yet we don't see anyone (including Ray) making an issue of that. I still can not figure out why this issue was posted 6 months after the fact. If someone wronged me, I would have posted on the BOI right away, not six months latter. They both believe they are right, and seem to have come to a mutual agreement over it, yet for some reason we can't. Go figure.
Ray told me last week that this thread has become mostly one sided, and in some cases childish (yes, I'm guilty too!
) and a competition to see who gets the last word etc. So having said all that I have, I will promise you all that I will practice what I preach, and let it go. I am just as guilty for stirring #@*$ until it stinks
So I promise not to make any further posts on this thread. If it is so important to anyone, call Ray, Shaun, or simply post whatever you want. Like Ray, I'm over it. If he does not care, why should I?
