In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Experience w/Diamond Den

To settle the storm, "I apologize DD" just wished you would've been consistent with your answers from our conversation this morning.

I think it was kinda funny. Because Diamond Den and many others do good business on fauna. When I talk to them through a pm last week they seemed quite nice. And I also "WANTED" a dragon from them, but waiting on a payment from a lot of dragons that I sold but it never came. Need less to say I don't think this thread was nessacary at all..

As I stated before I apologized my issue was that she, i.e. Caller, was see sawing back and forth to whether the dragon was available or not - this would bring suspicion to anyone...

You can't hold any animal on a verbal word of payment or text. For every 20 people interested 1 or 2 will actually buy the animal(I have done this also). I had a deal with Diamond Den that I backed out of due to not wanting a baby at this time. There was no hard feelings at all and I would be first in line to buy from them. If a deposit isn't in the bank it's not on hold. Starting this thread is just like slander, just because you missed something you wanted....wow.

I understand now. Hence my reason to restrict my business to a face to face transaction with money in my hand...

Max where we live there's not a lot of breeders here. There's myself,a gentlemen named randy, and rockinar dragons. And there's Petsmart and petco. So face to face transactions will be hard. The petco has a sale on half eatin beardie for $30 manager special.

Jarrod:

I understand and maybe I'm a little old fashion but I'll get in the car fill it up with gas and make it a field trip for the family in effort to do a face to face transaction.

That's what I like, day trip to get some reptiles....I love that. Expo's are fun too, But it's true about breeders in this area not very many advertised. To get want you want shipping is a must.

What I'm trying to say there might not be a face to face or hand to hand tranactions around here. I know I'm not the only one who cares for herps. I don't know and or never met you. The BG Boi ain't ment to play around with. I had people the I knew and there name came across the BG fan club.and there not around anymore so. So I appolgize for hitting a wrong button with you.

Hey, you didn't offend me at all, just agreeing with you - but I'll stick to face to face transactions.

Well, I have to admit that I am curious about some details here.

At 9:51, prospective buyer was told the dragon was available and was going to send money "right now".

At 10:17 the seller told him it was no longer available.

That gave the prospective buyer 26 minutes to send a PayPal payment to the seller. That is plenty enough time for a "right now", I believe.

Did that happen? Did the seller receive a PayPal payment from the prospective buyer?

My daughter bought a female dragon from DiamonDen last May, who by the way is such a sweetie!!! They were very nice people to deal with and answered a lot of her questions. I bred dogs for more than 10 years and would only hold a puppy with a non-refundable deposit. They do have plenty of very nice dragons to choose from so I am sure you could have found something just as nice as the one you first asked about. This problem does not justify being posted as a "bad guy" thread. I have 8 bearded dragons myself and I know it is first come first serve and when you want a spacific dragon you better have the money, at least for a deposit, before you even start looking! Keep up the good work Corky and Jammie!

Wow, :nonod: Another senseless thread.

I'd have to say almost a half hour for a "sending payment right now". Is ample time to have the money sent. Especially when Corky said this animal has interest and someone is ready for a purchase. I dont know ANY breeder that will hold a animal after a customer only says "they want it." In this business a buyers word has proven meaningless in some occasions, and a sale wont be put on hold until a deposit has been made. An some breeders want it in full.

As for Diamond Den (didnt want to leave Jammie out :)) There animals are healthy AND good looking. There customer service has been 100%. And they are BOTH very knowledgeable about bearded dragons. I would not hesitate to buy from them.

Hopefully i get all the posts in here.

Thank you and i know how that is waiting for something that just never happens in another sense that male is still available LOL(more then half of our dragons are in shed right now, so not much action here, and then alot that are not up to size yet) And your right it can be hard to find nice dragons near you, shipping is a great way to have a variety in your collection, and for breeding that is something you want allot of.

Webslave I didnt recieve a payment from him at any time.

Thank you Brenda, and as always im happy to hear that one of our little ones is doing good and that her owner is enjoying her, and we try our best to answer questions, about our dragons or any dragon, we don't turn away anyone and have no problem answering any questions we can.

Thanks Tom, as always you get right to the point, and you are completly correct just because someone says they want it and they are going to send payment that doesn't mean you will ever see the payment normally i find if its not sent with in 15 minutes i dont get it.

And Thanks Tom, I dont think most people realize that Jammie is on the other end of the computer as much as she is.

No problem. My issue is very simple I was told it was available on this site then only to receive a response to the post that it wasn't. I called just to confirm. Spoke with Diamond Den and told that the same dragon is available (discussion approx. 5 mins); Informed them that I would be sending the money. Received a call back later on stated that someone else bought the dragon.

In retrospect I inquired on www.Kingsnake.com where this particular dragon was also (previously) advertised.

I find the customer services per say to be questionable. Example: If you see a car for sale, you talk to the salesperson that tells you it's available, you tell them that you're going to the bank to the get the money and you'll be back in 5 mins; Only to be told it was sold....

From my own experiences with someone different... I wanted some Asian Rats and I made contact with the seller. I asked one question about them and he responded. I sent back a PM that I would take them for asking price where do I send the money. His next repsonse was... sorry they just sold. I dont hold any ill will towards this seller because he did the exact same thing I would. Money talks. It's all too often that folks are just kicking the tires and window shopping. Maybe if I hadn't asked that one question they would have been mine. :shrug01:

Point being.... how are you gonna get mad because someone beat you to the sale. You didn't have an agreement with the seller to buy them. You just asked if it was available. And at the time of his repsonse it was. He was even up front with you and let you know someone else was looking at it.

For every actual sale, breeders get dozens of emails about each animal and several of those inquiries are "promises" to buy. You can't weed out who is serious and who is not if you have not worked with them before. I wish you luck!

You got that right... I had a guy call me about a pair of snakes I had for sale. He WAS on my website and said that he was about to add them to the cart. Guess what... he never did and I was talking to him on the phone.

This is why it has to be "cash in hand" BEFORE we will take them off the market. I used to do it just on someones word. Guess what.... alot of folks dont give squat about their word and most breeders will not loose out on a potential sale till the money is in hand.

Sadly with the way folks are now days.. it just has to be that way.
