Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Actually... It sounds like he wants proof in writing what was said.. .and not some he said / he said routine. After what I have seen here, I cant say I blame him.

If you were able to send the whole $350 then why not do so. That one move might have got you the animal. That was precious time waisted on communication via a slower method (PM, Email). You already knew someone else was interested. At that point I would have sent it to the paypal addy and then sent the message that money had been sent.

My pops always said... you snooze you loose. Sadly that applies to alot of things in life.

If you called and woke me up.. .I would probably be see sawing back and forth as well... and Im the ONLY one that works the customer service side of things. If Im dead to the world it will take me a few minutes for my brain to kick in and start computing rational thoughts.

Just something to consider. And dont think that just because its 10am or something we should already be awake. We dont all work a normal 9-5 job.

Did that happen? Did the seller receive a PayPal payment from the prospective buyer?

There is not one member on this forum that I have done business with that will tell you that I have failed them in anyway. I find that I encounter more "upstanding" people in person as opposed to online, too many online tend to hide behind the cloak of anonymity. I'm sure DD produces fine dragons, however like all of us they are human and every human is apt to mistakes.
As I stated before I apologized and left it as a learning lesson. Have a Happy New Year's and let's focus our energies on something positive.

Corrected your spelling... and there is not a whole lot of anonymity here. That is done for a reason. That way you will know exactly who you are dealing with. You say you have encountered more upstanding people in person. You're also liable to encounter just as many liars in cheats in person.

All Im saying is dont limit yourself to a world of face to face business. You will loose out in the long run.

And as for every human being apt to mistakes. You are indeed correct and that also includes face to face humans.

After 7 pages, I feel like I should apologize to DD, or at least offer them a hug. Wanna come over and have waffles with us in the AM? Maybe your 1-year-old can teach our 3-year-old how to chew his food (he was born 3 months premature at 2#, 3 oz., and has some developmental delays, but we are very thankful he is otherwise healthy, and too often full of pee and vinegar).
Now Max, or Charles as you prefer, as far as getting yer panties in a wad 'cause you missed out on a sale, I wish that was my only problem in life. Try going to the NICU to watch them intubate your son over and over for 4 months, and maybe, just maybe, you might gain a real perspective on what is really important in life. Shame on you for waking that baby up BTW. And saying I'm sorry, but... is not an apology. Either truly apologize for your very foolish actions that might have tarnished a hard-earned family business's name if they hadn't found out and corrected it with the facts, or make like a tree, and go. And don't try lashing out at me, 'cause I bite.

Well, Diamond Den just made my list of sellers who are courteous and professional even when the prospective buyer is anything but. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with Corky and Jammie.

Oh, and on a somewhat related note, anyone who calls me at 6am and wakes me up makes me VERY ANGRY....I wouldn't have been able to be polite at all.
 
I can't tell you how many times I have heard from someone that they definitely wanted a gecko and then I never heard back from them. I won't hold animals without a deposit unless it's a previous customer. I don't think Diamond Den did anything wrong. They informed you right away that the animal had been sold. I haven't done business with them, but I did recommend them to someone looking for a bearded dragon based on their posts here. They seem like great people. If you would have given them a chance, I'm sure they would have worked out a great deal for you on another animal.
 
I agree with many of you; I would have no problem dealing with Corky and Jammie. Diamond den sounds like you'd recieve good service with a professional attitude.

Am curious now why Maxwheelz has changed his location listed to "DELETE" from previously listed Merced, CA. hmmm now hiding?
I think this thread was just posted for reasons of being butt hurt. I've missed out an couple animals from a seller I wanted to deal with. I felt a little disappointed, but just chose chose another animal from them :shrug01:

Mr. Maxwell is now demanding that I delete his account here. So I imagine he just wants to delete or alter anything he can in his profile, well, just because he CAN, I suppose....
