In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Exploit Toolkit Website 33 Attack

I just got bounced to adultfriendfinder. I access the boi from a bookmark in Safari on an ancient Apple Powerbook, if that helps. When I closed Safari and reopened the page, it went to the boi as usual.

Not sure if this is related, but figured I'd pass it along in this thread.
Received this PM today:

FWIW the site has been setting off an Avast alert. I believe when this happened a few months ago the site went down. Im sure you are probably aware but just in case.

Happening here to on a PC and on my Andriod. Bounces me to adultfriendfinder! If I quickly click on any ad on the front page before it has time to re-direct it lets me come here, but www.faunaclassifieds.com automatically re-directs me to the adultfriendfinder ad.

Also keep getting bounced to AFF from phone.

This has happen before on a couple websites ive been joined with for a long time. Each time the solution was to contact server host as it was a problem on their end. They then switched the website to a completely new server.

Attached is a screen shot of the exact issue. My pc is 100% clean - 2 anti viruses, spyware and malware detectors running in background.

I have yet to get a redirect from this site or CornSnakes.com to that AFF site, but interestingly enough I got redirected from my CorvetteFlorida site when I submitted a reply to a thread there. And that site is not even on my own server. I using leased hosting through a completely different service and data center for that site.

So who knows?

Ran a virus scanner on my PC and it came up clean. I've got the server techs running a scan on the server right now to see if they can find anything.

:shrug01:

Been getting it past few days. I was able to screen shot the url it tried to open.

BUt since i run a ad blocker, nothing redirects me.

Got bounced to AFF yesterday on my ipod, and today AVG blocked an attempted redirect using firefox. Didn't grab a screenshot, but if it happens again I'll get one if they're helpful. ETA - I do run an ad blocker on this browser.

Server techs just got done scanning the server and found one possibly infected file in my serpenco.com domain. It's a script in a test shopping cart program that I haven't even looked at in years, much less used. Heck, I don't even remember the admin password to it any longer and couldn't check it out. Besides that, nothing else showed up.

Just for chuckles, I may try to disable some of the ad scripts on this site tomorrow to see if it makes any difference.

I too have been getting that redirect. I get it when I first come to this site. If I hit the back button then come back I make it in.

I've temporarily turned off most of the external ad calls from the site to see if that makes any difference.

Still getting redirected to friendfinder and avg is calling it malware ...

It's possible the site was cached. Plus there are still a couple of ads showing.

Any reports from anyone else? Sorry, but I'm not going to have the ads disabled for long....

This is primarily for those who are getting the occasional adult friend finder redirect.

I just experienced it for the first time a few minutes ago. The redirect occured when I clicked a link to a forum. It was the first click I made after opening the site.
I'm wondering whether the redirect would have happened even if I didn't click the forum link, or if clicking the link caused the redirect.

For those who have had the redirect, what happened to cause the redirect if anything? Did the redirect happen on it's own, or when you clicked a site link, or maybe moused over an ad?

The system I'm on is running linux, no anti-virus, and Firefox.
Ads on the site are currently turned off.

My case also. I'm getting it just clicking on a bookmark to Fauna classifieds or clicking on this thread. Not clicking on any adds. Running current version of Norton and firefox and malwarebytes. Not coming up with any virus or malware scanning both with Norton and malwarebytes.

When I clicked on my Fauna bookmark it did auto redirect to AFF...Has not done so since the ads were disabled by you Rich.

I believe my programmer disabled ALL ads.

But to be perfectly honest, if this is an issue with the ads being fed by Google, then it is going to be up to them to fix it. If I know exactly which of their ads are causing the problem, then can be disabled directly within Google. But I need to have the URL(s) responsible in order to do that. I've already disabled AFF there, but that's not to say that their ad is identified in Google via that URL. Quite frankly, they really shouldn't be feeding ads to sites that can take control of a viewer like that. But I'm sure my complaint to them will carry a lot of weight to a company worth $200 billion bucks.....

IF its the adsense stuff, then yea its up to them most the time. I had issue like that on a forum I do and had to manually edit what type of content showed up.
