    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Bad Guy ezekiel stoltzfus / Daniel Martin

Hello every one. This is Daniel Rouse of Incredible Geckos. I would like a chance to address some things.

First of all, thank you to Josh Ellis and Daniel Enos for bringing this to my attention. Without these two informing me who knows how long this thread would have gone on without my knowledge.

I have known Danny Hiem for a few years now and I have traded reptiles with him several times. I have also shared a table with him at a local reptile show. He is a stand up guy.

As soon as I found out about this thread I sent a text to Danny Hiem. Danny had no idea what this was about. After some investigation he figured out that it was his girlfriend's 15 year old brother that made the deal with the OP. This is how the IP addresses match. Danny Hiem has also made arrangements with the OP to right this wrong.

Why am I, and not Danny Hiem, telling you this? Because Danny Hiem is currently blocked from the forum. Maybe someone can explain how anyone accused of anything can defend themselves on a forum they are blocked from.

Now being that I have never been on this forum and don't know how things work here I am appalled with the conduct of all of this. On the first page of this thread Josh Ellis (the same guy I just thanked) posts Danny's family's personal business info with phone numbers and links. This information could have been emailed to the OP and not put on a public forum. The second page involves someone posting a pic found on DH geckos Facebook page of a package he received and pulling the tracking number. I realize Facebook is public and you shouldn't post those kind of things. Then on the third page someone posts a picture of the about page of DH geckos showing a picture of his girlfriend who has no involvement of this situation what so ever. Then it was asked if I would "help put a little pressure on him" so I sent him a text. Someone could have sent Danny a text directly since his phone number was posted in the first post. Or sent him an email. Being that he has two user accounts on this forum I'm assuming there is an email address attached to the user names. And now someone had posted his girlfriend's signature on the forum.

Are you kidding me? This witch hunt has to stop. I understand that the thread will not be deleted but I think it is reasonable that all the personal information be taken down. Danny has already reached out to the OP and taken care of the situation.

I'm sure I'm going to be flamed in this thread but I had to say what I said. Now all of this happened before Danny found out about it and could respond. The reasonable thing would have been send an email or call some of those numbers posted or whatever. Now for some future advice for anyone shipping animals, make sure they are a respectable person on a forum and not a 15 year old kid with a username like "gang green on my bum bum" and only had 3 posts.

Yep, he can't pull that one because if I understand this right, all three of those shared IP's are through Clearwire Wireless 4G network.

If I'm not mistaken, the OP (Bob) DID text (the number posted in the first post) numerous times requesting information on his expected shipment. He got no response, prompting this thread.
He also texted asking if Danny had received the shipment Bob sent. Again, no response from that particular number you claim is, in fact, Danny's.

If Bob had not come here, the matter would still be completely undisclosed; the guilty party free to continue to scam and steal. I'm sorry that Bob is left with nothing.
 
A text along the lines of "I'm going to post this on the fauna classifieds if we don't resolve this" could have been sent. Or maybe a phone call to talk in person. Voice mails, emails could have been sent. My major point of saying that is personal info like that was posted to a forum for the world to see.

Unlikely. I had posted a link on his FB page this morning. Someone with administrator privileges chose to disable the page very shortly thereafter. It's subsequently been re-enabled, after having deleted two posts that were linking to this thread. I suppose it's a matter of random happenstance that someone disabled the page right after I made my wall post? All clues point to the very high likelihood that someone saw my post, hence they were aware of what's going on. If you see someone make a wall post that begins with "**Scammer alert***", don't you think they'd get curious enough to read the link?

:icon_bs: Neither his "DHGeckos" account nor his "dannyboylanc" account are banned. Oddly enough, "ganggreenonmybumbum" is banned. Are you saying that THAT'S the account he's trying to log in with?

I'm not sure who's first name that is other than it starts with the letter S. The person who signed for that package accepted responsibility for it and the signature is freely given to the public by USPS.

I think you're placing the blame on the wrong person here. How was Bob supposed to know who it was that was trying to scam him?

Isn't Mr Heims username DHGeckos? I dont see it banned & dont understand why it would be?

Sorry you are appalled Mr. Rouse but I think the only person who should be is the opt. None of the information posted by myself regarding Mr Heim was not already posted on public forms by himself. If Mr Heim didn't want this information public he should not have made it so. I see it was advised Mr Heim reached out to the opt to take care of the situation but did not see that it was completed to date.

Mr Rouse my intent is not to flame anyone for what they believe. I still dont buy it but your entitled to your opinion which may be more relevant then mine anyway since you have a relationship with Mr Hiem. As far as making sure your not dealing with a 15 year old kid it's my believe the responsibility lays not with the opt but the person who owns the account the 15 year old kid used. I'm sure if you step back & think about the situation as a outside party that you, a reptile lover & business man can see the concern of folks who commented.

Danny told me the only way he is sending anything is if this thread is removed. Even though he has recovered 4 of the axolotls and the box they were shipped in.
I have given up on getting anything back.

So, he's basically holding your own animals ransom? Sure sounds like a stand-up kinda guy... :ack2: Pretty sure that most of us have seen similar statements made. Regarding the types of people who generally play that card, they're no one with whom I'd want even the vaguest mental association.

Just out of curiosity, Bob ... what cell # is Danny calling you from? Same one you originally posted? Same one that you texted during the transaction?
 
Well let's think about this. I send him a text. He checks Facebook while he is online reading this thread. He sees the post and takes it down so he can sort it out. Sounds reasonable to me. Maybe his IP address is blocked from the forum. I have no idea. But I'm done with this thread. The way people continue to pound upon this man is out of line. The OP has been in contact with him. That should be enough for now. Give him time to make this right. Danny has only known about this for 8 hours now.

Gotta love seeing integrity going out the window when it comes time to defend a friend who's clearly in the wrong. Maybe you don't read so well? Apparently, your boy, Danny, has decided that since this thread was posted, he's somehow entitled to keep the axolotls. That seems to be counterproductive to any notion of him wanting to "make this right".

I don't believe IP bans are something that Admin generally tends to do. It's just as likely that your buddy decided to use you a stooge to come here and sing his praises. How well do you really know someone with whom you've only had a handful of interactions?

I would hope Mr Heim is aware the losses he will suffer by keeping these animals he now admits to have in his possession will fair out weigh the possible losses that he may have endured if he would have just sent the critters back to there rightful owner. PA has many shows and events, all of which are full of the same folks who share the same interest so word does travel very fast. It's very easy to get a bad name but hard have it cleared.

Mr. Rouse I'm sorry you were pulled into this but some responsibility for the thread does belong to your friend who you choose to attempt aiding. Many folks believe you are who you hang around & from the latest comments about keeping someone's property it doesn't seem Mr Heim is a contributing member of the reptile community. Maybe it's time to reevaluate the character of certain folks before placing your good name the line for them.

That info just makes Mr. Rouse's/Danny's explanation all the more difficult to believe. All those text msgs you sent to that very number concerning the trade, all the appropriate responses from that number right up until he/she/they/whoever knew you shipped and then magically, nada!

Since you are new I will explain the red box under your name. Go to " user cp" tab and check your negative karma. Potential customers always like to see that. ;)

As of right now you are both thieves in my book and I can only hope people searching you and your business see it for what it is. Good luck and I will be sure to swing by your shared table at the next show especially if this doesn't get resolved.
