I found it amusing, it made me laugh, nobody else seemed to notice...so yes, that was/is my response.


I'm not sure which I hate more, the uncomfortable beds, or those horrible heat/ac units that sit under the windows in a lot of the rooms and blast either hot or cold air but can never seem to keep a reasonably stable temperature in the room.

I just wanted to say that for a bunch of dinosaurs you guys really did some great work! For someone like me who is about as tech savvy as the snakes I own I am so glad that Rich and this site exist. Even if it wasn't an ad from this site in particular its served me well in making better buying/selling choices. And the fact this thread even exists is the perfect example of what the BOI is for. Obviously has done its job since someone has to create a fake name just to come here and throw a fit like that. With all the backwater reptiles in the world its good that someone like Rich set up a place for ppl to share their experiences. ID also like to thank spidersohmy for this thread and renewing our faith that if enough ppl share their experiences you can put these type of ppl/businesses back in their place.

I love the BOI because it protects us, some see it as bad... Well if you see it as bad...don't do bad business, and provide better customer service!!!

Maybe I win the dumb guy of the week award but, how are we linking with 100% certainty that backwater is the OP? Is it possible that someone just used the same screen name from another site to open an account on this site? I could take for example Web Slave aka big meanie and as long as that username is available, open an account using that name on another site like a sex site, or maybe a gambling forum or anything.. That does not mean it is the same webslave as here. Or the same person. Maybe someone is using that name to make it look like backwater posted about LLL or the ReptileReport...Or has someone actually linked the IP address used to open the account on here and, to start this thread back to backwater reptiles.. Sorry if im missing something I am just confused... Reading the OP's statement it doesnt really match backwaters prior writing style nor would I think Sam/Backwater would make the mistake of using the same IP address... However, again maybe I am missing something..

Right! Wouldn't you rather see your hard work being shared with the world instead of making enemies and using a fake name to throw a fit cuz its affecting your ability to rip off others? Just a thought. Might have to do a little bit of work but then at least you can be proud of what you have contributed and maybe not have so many enemies

It's definitely changed a lot from the first attempt at something like this that I remember. I don't even think there really was a website, basically just a plain white spreadsheet looking page where people could write their name in a column, who they were talking about in another column, and a short comment about them in another column and not much more to it than that...and there was no replying to anything on it. That was when colubrids ruled the market and you could count the number of ball python morphs on one hand.

This was way before then...lol. I'm curious to see what Rich remembers about that basic plain white page. The only classifieds page anywhere that I remember was kingsnake, and on it there was only a handful of distinctions, pythons were all in one, boas in one, there may have been a couple of different ones for colubrids, I think graybands had their own section since the website had really just been started to be about them. All total there were only about 5 or 6 classified sections there though. Colubrids were leading the market then, corns were huge and honduran milks were also along with cal kings and a few other kingsnakes.

I get that.. But maybe someone is using Spidersohmy and its not backwater.
Does anyone have proof positive that it is backwater who made the post.?. How do we know backwater is the OP other than it is the same username as another site where he is the OP.. Does the IP address of the OP match an IP address Backwater has used previously?

Of course anyone can make up the same username Sam used on another site and try to frame him. If that was it, I probably wouldn't have posted any of the information that I did. I was also clear to what was fact vs opinion and laid the information down for the readers to decide what weight to give it.

However, there is a lot more posted here. First, everything that this thread starter posted has already been stated by Sam to us directly with the exception of go visit the other site mentioned.

Second, Robert already posted the location information that matches with this user and backwater.

So far we have three coincidences.

1. The same lie that we delete and edit threads if we like the company.
Sam stated that and so did this user.

2. The same username used on a different forum by this user and Sam.

3. Same city location by this user and Backwater.

Location, Username and same content.

So, I guess you could state someone who has it out for Sam could have faked the location, searched for a previous username that he used and copied it and then spewed off the same BS remarks about this site that Sam has done here.

But wait! There are still some more facts to lay out. Even if someone wanted to make it look like backwater how would they know to use LLL and state the same things and spew the same stuff?

Here's the funny thing, all the things Sam stated about LLL wasn't posted on the forums until I posted snippets of the emails he sent Rich. They wouldn't have known that was a beef Sam had with this site (His bogus claim that we were protecting LLL) because it wasn't posted where anyone could see it.

By the way, Here is another quote from Sam on that.

It was herpwantads.com and you can see cached pages via the wayback machine, white and blue and responses were allowed, but this is starting to get far off topic at this point.
