I had agreed to purchase a group of corns from Aaron. After a number of PM’s and a phone call or two there was an agreement that we would meet at 11:00 am at a Bob Evans approximately an hour from his place and two hours from mine. At 9:30 am this morning I received a call from Aaron informing me that he would be leaving in a half hour. I informed him that I was already on the road and that I would see him in about an hour and a half.

With my heavy foot I was there 15 minutes before 11:00 am. At approximately 11:15 am I received a call from Aaron. I was having difficulty understanding him due to the breaking up of his cell phone, but I clearly heard him say that he would be there in a minute after I informed him that I had been there for a half hour already.

A half hour later (approx 11:45) I called Aaron back and asked him where he was. He the informed me that when he called me earlier he had stated he had only left at 11:00 am. I told him that I was not too happy to have been sitting there for an hour now when we had agreed to meet at a specific time. His passenger said that they were 20 minutes away still and he parroted that response. I told him I was not too happy about this. He then said, “Do you want me to turn around and you can loose out on getting these snakes?” That attitude, after having me sit for an hour waiting was unacceptable and I told him just that. He then snapped and proceeded to call me names and swear. During this he threatened to “beat my ass”. I informed him that he knew where I was and that I’d be waiting. Needless to say he didn’t have the stones to show up.

During the conversation he stated that he didn’t even want to meet anywhere yet in his ad he stated “will be willing to meet somewhere.” Still, no excuse for his attitude nor tardiness.

I agree with you.If that person did not have enough brain cells to meet somewhere on time then he probably does not care for his snakes properly either.DND did you at least get a good breakfast?

ok you got your story backwords.. just becuase he has "more rep" than me you will probably belive him.. he called me a "little fu458r" becuase i was 1 hour late.. i dont know about you but if any one has the nerve to say that i didnt want to do any business with him.. and he called my phone back 5 diffrent times.. "i will smash you with a brick" "little Fu&^er".. and i worked a 13 hour shift that night.. so i dont see why you have to cry about waiting a little while. your acting reallly immature about all this... act your age its really sad.

Put your snakes up again, I'm sure someone will want them and not throw a hissyfit because you are late.

You might want to try being on time yourself though and you may want to curb your verbosity as well, it does fuel the fire of meager minds to call them names.

An hour late on a roughly one hour drive when the other party has a longer drive and is already en route is a bit rude. It really doesn't matter how long you worked the night before, if you're going to be late be courteous and let the other party know sooner so he can also adjust his plans if he chooses. His time is as valuable to him as yours is to you. Of course, once I'd done the driving I'd have waited and taken care of business.

On the other hand, calling five times, swearing, threatening, etc, is also uncalled for and I don't blame you for turning around at that point. In fact, both parties allege that threats of violence were made by the other. Hardly worth it over a few snakes. C'mon Dave, did you really stay there waiting to see if Aaron had "the stones" to show up for a fist fight? Is that really how you would settle your differences?

Both of you ought to go on home and forget this. It doesn't really speak well for either of you.

Lastly Aaron, you need to put a first and a last name on every BOI post or risk them being deleted.

You were an hour late and still not there. Your rendition is as pathetic as your spelling and grammar. You can’t even spell the State’s capitol correctly, it’s no wonder you couldn’t find it.

I appreciate it Jim. What really bothers me is his continued "so what" attitude that he was over an hour late (had he ever shown up he would have been closer to 1 1/2 hours late) knowing full well that I would be waiting. Hell, he said that he left his house at the time in which we were scheduled to be meeting.

With the exception of wes (consider the source, we all know that had anyone other than myself started this thread, wes' response would have been much different), everyone agrees that it was rude of aaron to expect me to wait for him to eventually show up when he got around to it. That does not sound like someone who wants to conduct business, nor is it someone who I would recommend doing business with in the future.

From what I can see, there was weak communication and a poor choice of words used. And no Aaron, just because David has been around here longer and has a higher "karma reputation" does not allow him a free pass. Nor does it give either of you the right to be rude to each other.

Reputations can be earned and lost here, be wiser when making future business decisions, no body like to sit and wait for a delivery when it is promissed to be there at a certain time. Be punctual and refrain from using bad words in a discussion.

Probably not, Laura, but if the seller said that he would ship Monday for 11 AM delivery on Tuesday, and I arranged a day out of work to receive the package, and the seller never called until 11 AM Tuesday to let me know that he didn't get around to shipping yesterday you had best believe I'd be pissed off. And that seller would get a piece of my mind most likely.

From my point of view with no money or animals being lost in this transaction it should just be chalked up as poor communication on both sides.. Continuing this thread makes both parties look bad and really doesn't need to be on the BOI just my opinion...
