In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Fire and Ice Dragons

Fire And Ice Experience :-(

Hi, new to this forum and looking for the help of the bearded dragon community to help me understand the negative experience I've had with the breeder Fire And Ice out of Pennsylvania.
After receiving a adult male and a juvenile I purchased, Emails back and forth, The owner cancelled a purchase I had made for a "collectors quality Male out of a Fire Red breeding. Purchase was paid in full. Price of Dragon was $500 and shipping was $65
Anyway I was told via email that my $565.00 was refunded back to my Visa Card yet today I called my bank and they said there was no deposit for $565.00 put back into either of my accounts I've used to purchase dragons from them.
I think I will give it another day or two then contact my attorney. This has been a complete nightmare instead of a wonderful experience!
In my opinion this is not a reputable breeder.
My last purchase is a horror story in itself. Was charged $100 for shipping, dragons showed up freezing cold, everything inside box was cold including newspaper, corn flake cereal box adult male was in, small plastic container juvenile was in. 2 small kit kat size white with red stripe heat packs crammed in two corners of a pretty big box. When I opened cereal box the big guy had eyes closed, beard jet black and felt like a orange that had been outside for 12 hrs in temps ranging from 20's for high and 18 was the low the night they were shipped out last Tuesday here in PA.
Then they wanted me to ship them back when they haven't eaten, big guy sounded like he had a stuffed up nose, both were dehydrated. I was told not to take them to the vet, that it would make things worse yet sending them back thru UPS wouldn't be a lot more Stress? (This is what triggered the emails back and forth). Which there are so many contradicting statements and insults towards me as knowing how to care for bearded dragons. I have 1 normal 3yr old female that I've had since she was a juvenile and she is a big happy girl. And two happy uromastyx's. I just wanted something Pretty and unique, that I didn't see in pet stores.
Hopefully some insight from you all can help me understand if this is normal practice when shipping or paying for a dragon that hasn't hatched yet is standard practice? How many collectors quality dragons come out of a clutch and can you tell at a young age that they are a collectors to fulfill the $500 price tag for such quality?
And shouldn't you be able too choose or at least see photos of what your buying? I'm sorry but, I work hard for my $ and want to see what I'm getting. Not play the lottery!
I so wanted this to be a happy exciting experience and it has been nothing but, that. The dragons to me are beautiful. I just hope tomorrows vet visit helps get them on track.

they're a rip off plain and simple, first off i spent a lot of money on dragons and thought id give them a try after contacting them about collector they wanted like 600 bucks for a collector that's in a EGG LMAO!BASICALLY they're just going to give you what they believe is collector in a clutch and you're still playing lottery i asked for pics constantly but couldn't get any.not to mention they mostly sell off citrus dragons that's even a bigger risk because you can't tell how a citrus will turn out and this is coming from someone who has bought various citrus dragons for high price tags and they never turned out the way i hoped it did which is why i stopped purchasing them unless there sub/adult.

personally take your money else where go to CCD/JOSH D top two people i deal with you can see what you buy before purchase and they sell top notch dragons at that.prices are high but customer service is great and you get what you pay for.

looking at there dragons/price tags and morphs not worth it youll get way better color etc from other breeders for the same price and non shady customer service

lets not forget they photoshopped some of there dragons colors as well which was proven

i uploaded two pics from ccd that i purchased dragons from i purchased much more those were around 500 bucks as babies and they were stunning the red was from josh d 1000 tho but great color etc

I have some questions.
You purchased a dragon which arrived in a cereal box and which you deemed unacceptable. Was this the same breeder?
As far as the Visa refund, have you spoken to Visa yet?
Finally, it seems as if you have a number of emails, could you please post them?

As a bearded dragon breeder, I can tell you that paying $500 for an EGG is NOT the standard practice of breeders, in fact Fire & Ice are the only ones who do that to my knowledge.

I would never spend that amount of money on a dragon that I haven't seen, much less hatched yet.

Contact Visa and dispute the charges.

I can't post her pictures, but this whole thing was posted on Facebook and yes, the cereal box dragon was shipped from Fire and Ice.

I thought that was completely nuts.

Wow!!! Ok I thought mine was really bright. Those are beautiful dragons!!
I wish I had done research before I purchased. I am so trusting :-(. I learned a hard lesson.
Thank you for the referrals :) and sharing your experience. It really helps when your new get taken to know where to go next, or who to trust. Wish I had tried these threads beforehand.
It woulda saved me the time and money taking the ones I received in a box that felt Like it just came out of a really cold fridge inside the box to the vets in at noon today. :-( and all the stress.
