    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

This is Probably one of those "oh no not another one" kind of threads but I couldn't seem to find any other reliable sites where I could trust the information. I'm really interested in a ball python but I don't know too much about them yet... I have two cornsnakes and love them dearly but I am starting to expand my collection quite rapidly (fortunately:D). Basically, what I need to know is everything I would need to know about a Ball Python and where I could get this information. So far I know that they need a heat greadient such as 85-90 on the hot end and around 75 on the cool end? fed every 5 days for babies and once a week for adults? 60% humidity (70-80%) humid hide. 30 g for adults? How does the food size work for bp's? Do they start off with hoppers, adult mice? and would you feed accordingly to the biggest part of thier body? Growth rate? Morphs? Just the basics to keep a healthy snake is what I need!
I know there are hundreds of sites for Ball Python care but personally I don't trust many of them. Any suggestions/advice is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Kristy

All your questions and more are can be answered for about $10.00 in a great little book called "the ball python manual" published by AVS and can be found in your local reptile store, petco, petsmart, etc. If you are truly interested in getting accurate information you will go buy this book before you get your ball python. Also, they have a great book about corn snakes written by Bill and Kathy Love called "The Corn snake Manual". Get them both, now!

haha yes...

I heard the ball python manual had outdated information in it so thats why I was asking. I am also on the other cornsnake list owned my Rich Z and when I'm reading through the posts the Cornsnake manual By Kathy Love, comes up about a thousand times. I have yet to purchase it but just by being on that list has provided me with more information then I could imagine. I work at a retail pet store so I could definently look if I could borrow a Bp book and take a look through it. I was more looking into the different morphs though, as I can always easily find the other questions I was asking in that book. Does the bp have quite a few different morphs? Any pictures?

as far as i know, there are quite a few ball python morphs, ranging in color and pattern.

NERD (New England Reptile) has quite a few pictures of different BP morphs that i always love to look at on their website:

http://www.newenglandreptile.com/ball_gallery.html

but i'm not sure if these are all the available morphs...
