    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have to agree with Harald; IF he is "legit", I suspect he's stealing photos, taking orders and getting the animals from another source. On the other hand, there's no evidence (that I've caught) that he's actually sold anything. No one has come here to confirm any sale or receipt of an animal.

Somebody posted a thread about him yesterday...supposedly bought leopard geckos.

I haven't checked...but take a look in Strictly Reptiles' gallery for the highway (there's a search feature, so you won't have to scroll through them all)
 
whats even funnier is that he had an ad up on the site for a (red ballpython)the pic was of a bloodpython.page 8 is the pied he had on the other posted here.the greentree on page 35...ETC,ETC,ETC

Yeah, I only saw that a few minutes ago, Harald. Ironic, isn't it? lol

I did check Strictly's for the snake, along with Shane's stuff as well as another breeder (other than Mr. Brant). I got nuthin' when I checked before, but it's worth another look :)
 
Never saw them on there either... but yeah, I noticed the "red ball pythons" haha, couldn't find the pic for it though.
 
every picture he had on the classifieds can be found on strictly's site with the exception of the highway ball

Perhaps I can add something to the discussion. I took the picture at my facility on 7/31/12. I still own the snake, and until I read this thread, I had never heard of Sebastian Montero. I sent the picture to Strictly Reptiles upon the owners request. I would guess that he did not know that the photo would be used by someone else to represent it as their own.

I hate to admit confusion, but if Strictly Retiles requested the Highway photo from Mr. Brant and received the photo from Mr. Brant, how then did Sebastian / FlHerps get the photo?

In post #22, Brian had already called Strictly and stated they had never heard of Sebastian.
Strictly does have a 2011 Highway listed in their Inventory, but no gender or price is indicated.

The 7/31 photo that Mr. Brant stated he took at his facility, and which Sebastian posted on 8/1 in the Boas discussion thread here, is now on FLHerps website. Mr. Brant says he still owns the snake.

So how did the photo get from Strictly Reptiles to Sebastian?

Mr. Brant, if I may ask, how did you come to be aware of this thread and the use of your photo?
 
Strictly's has (or had - I haven't looked in a few days) a highway ball listed on their site. That doesn't necessarily mean they have one in stock...just that they feel they could obtain one if somebody was interested. (They may, or may not, be posting animals for people. Don't be shocked, I used to have a relatively local dealer sell animals for me that way)
An inquiry to Strictly would then be relayed to the person in possession of the snake. That person sends pics and/or information to Strictly, who, in turn, relays it to the customer.
 
Just to be clear, not only do I still own the snake, but it is also in my possession. And I have no agreements whereby the snake is on consignment to Sebastian or anyone else. As for my awareness of this thread, a person contacted me through another forum personal message and made me aware of it. I believe he has posted in this thread and stated that he had sent me a message. I am unclear as to how the photo got from Strictly to Sebastian.
 
We routinely sell our product to Strictly so I wouldn't be surprised if they had our Highway listed on their stock list. It would be fine with me if they did. We have a very good working relationship.
 
Is the highway in the picture for sale?
Have you had conversation with Strictly regarding your ability to provide a highway?
(Don't take my inquiry the wrong way - I couldn't care less if you sell to them, they advertise your animals, or this is total third party deal...I'm just connecting dots and trying to confirm accuracy)

Thank you for clarifying, Mr. Brant. I too, am only trying to connect the dots here. I'm completely aware how third-party deals and casual, friendly partnerships work ... I'm all for it!

The issue only arises when an alleged 13-year old gets involved, first claiming the animal is his, then listing it for sale on his website.
 
Harald, to answer your question, yes the Highway is for sale. And yes, when Strictly called, I assumed they were requesting a pic for one of their customers. When the request was made, I had a hunch that it was an unsophisticated customer because they asked for a belly pic ( the belly of a Highway is completely clear). I assumed they were just fishing perhaps to see what the belly pattern of a Gravel might look like. I just thought it was odd to request the belly pic. However I did accommodate them and provide a belly pic.

Harald, Sebastian/ FLHerps finally sent me a response to my PM yesterday. (I had questioned if (He) FLHerps produced the Highway and if he had also produced any Hets/ Gravels in the clutch or if he did not produce the animal, I asked for the name of the breeder that did.

His Response: Hell Jason, Yes I did produce the snake. It is mine, in my posession. All of the offspring- Hets and Gravels have already been sold. I can forward you additional pics if you would like.

Thanks Bill for clarifying that this is your animal as I am not aware of many breeders that have produced 2011 Highways.

This Sebastian guy should be banned from this site for life! :thumbsup:
