    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Simply put. People were questioning who she was because of her posts on this thread and a couple of others. She also put forth the question if the OP was really who they were based on their posts. It was good enough to question the OP but not her? Both being new? I see, it works only one way.

She was asked simple questions about her identify and relationship to the company in question. There was no need to take offense. Particularly because she was doing the same thing to the thread starter. It just so happens she was right. Good thing we looked into the person without a history here that started this thread.

Again, the questions were reasonable based on her posts here and previous. There was no need for the attitude.

Reasonable Dennis? Yes. I just think you worded things poorly. Not a mistake I haven't made myself. But I am not someone here who is "looked up to" as you are. Sorry you thought I had an "attitude". I didn't. Best wishes. :)
 
I was not making a statement based on this thread, or who is right or wrong. You are making my response to you a personal one and obviously didn't get my point and probably won't any time soon. The post wasn't about you, and certainly didn't benefit you, as much as that is what most here strive for. My post was directed toward an awareness of the fact that alot of potentially good people who may have positive energy to contribute here may be swayed to do otherwise after viewing such arrogant statementssuch as the ones you made, which I cited. And quite frankly, I was suprised. In a way, that was a compliment.

My clarification was the new people here and not merely for you are I wouldn't have bothered to reply at all. I got your point and I clarified what I meant by my original post.

Even if I didn't, I'm sure glad you let me know it wasn't personal.

Just an observation. I don't know whether or not Florida herps is reputable or not, but I have seen nothing wrong with Jen's posts and have found myself defending my own in the past while being interrogated by naysayers/patrons/higher-ups, who, in the end, were wrong. Again, just an observation.

I love how you use the term "clueless braincell" to refer to someone who clearly understands the karma tool better then you. This person most likely understands that Karma is given based on weather someone really likes or dislikes what you posted. It has nothing to do with ANY rule on this website (tho breakin a rule gets you lots of karma hits) Karma is purely opinion based.

Whining about the karma you've been given is pretty lame...and next time you wanna call someone out for not "having the brass to correspond it here" how about you become a contributing member so you can see who left the karma for you, because they don't need to correspond it in this thread, as it would most likely derail it.

It's interesting that you would make such a stink to someone about how they worded their post, and yet you seem to spew filth just as easily in your own.

I have had a rough exp with Florida Herp in the last week or so and have the whole transaction history in email and Facebook (facebook has been edited lol but I screen shot it all...)the whole situation has soured me. I want a refund and to be done with it and was told to review the policy (I had misunderstood the 1st time amphibians were not covered but reptiles were). But xmas eve my lil brother christmas present a red eyed tree frog was dead. He buried it in a box in the backyard. I sent an email stating I knew it was the holidays but when they have time can they help me with where to go from here. The shipping was 45 min late so Florida Herps is entitled to a REFUND from shipping. So they have money from the late shipping, MY money from shipping AND the cost of the frog, I am a sad customer with a lil brother that was instructed to dig up dead frog and take pictures on christmas morning with it on the shipping label so cust serv could have it. THEN I get an email from Lonna that says I should have reviewed their policy (she left me a link) and informed me that another customer had the exact order (amphibian) exact problem with exact result (dead frog) BUT because she liked him better than me he is being sent a replacement frog and I will not be. Then why on earth would we have to dig up, handle a dead creature TAKE PICS for no reason what so ever? C'mon now.
 
and for the record...I am REAL. A REAL dissatisfied customer with a real life and a REAL complaint. I am not competition...playing games nor am I bashing the business. I do have tho plenty of actual transaction emails picture and tracking numbers. I am knew to web ordering but LONG time Herp lover. My name is real and if you have any doubt [email protected] I am taking all info on dissatisfied customers. Email me let me know. All I want is a refund but until then I will make it well known that there are issues.
 
2 emails (back n forth between Lonna and I) I have half a dozen others too. BUT in fear another person is disturbed by the sight of dead creatures I will refrain from posting certain ones because the pictures attached :-(. I am not out to slander/threaten/bash or anything that Lonna accuses me for. I stated simply that I must retract the premature praise I put out publicly to Florida Herps because I am not praising a situation like this. Retracting is deleteing, not editing to say bad things.

Well that just sucks. $200 on a set up n $60+ for a dead frog. Good to know...I missed the amphibian part of the warrenty. That's why I ordered from you guys actually. I shoulda known better than to think it would be a great gift and why did I have to have my lil brother dig up his dead frog on xmas eve to take a pic w/label when you could have just told me what the last email said? Ewww and awww man. Lay down all that time praising floridaherps.com in my forums and now have to retract it. I'm sorry too. My bad. Guess my brother got a dead frog for christmas. Nice. This mornings thread on Facebook had another gentleman in a VERY similar situation with the same species (he is NOT the guy who actually got the replacement frog tho, I have yet to find him. The other unhappy customer is Riley DeRose, another REAL person, as myself. This thread was on FloridaHerps Facebook page for a little while before deleting it.

Christina Vincent Funny how the conversation I saw just last night was deleted...another dissatisfied customer had posted a comment and I had commented on that post, ( I have a screen shot and a time stamped copy of the posts because for some reason I KNEW it would be deleted) but THAT deleted post alone was 2 customers with issues that cannot be deleted. Facebook is awesome :) So there's only 13 more with similar issues...I do find that hard to believe.

Christina Vincent I just don't want to argue with "Lonna – Customer Service Manager" nor the owner if he condones that behavior from a MANAGER? She upset me so bad for her taunting me with "I gave another gentleman a free frog to make up for it" because she MISS read my email to her stating I have to "retract my praise online" due to the situation that's happened and she said I was going to bash them. Yes I'm upset for some staff member making my brother handle and arrange a dead animal Christmas morning. Yes I'm upset she'd taunt me with her own interpretations of things and Yes Any contact I have with the company will be recorded. In writing is BEST tho :) But I do NOT bash anybody nor have no interest in anything than getting my money returned. Because of the fact that THEY get a refund on their shipping for it being late AND I already paid shipping cost and have the dead frog (I will happily send back if they want it, the lab I contacted sent me a package and instructed me on sealing it up and preserving it for testing if need be so it's not some gross rotting thing now it's in a similar container it came in! but with no air holes tho, it's sealed) I don't see why it's such an issue for them. The shipping was more than the frog itself and they got paid twice on it and the frog. I've was in retail a LONG time and was never treated like this. It was always the company's goal to get 100% satisfaction - especially if it was little to no cost to the company o_O

Christina Vincent Plus having a clean bill of health on even a dead creature can save you and your vet a lot of other testing should an animal fall ill. Then at least you can rule out some things :)

What did you order? If it was a Red eyed tree frog baby they may very likely be from the same clutch. No need to send your lil guy in I can let you know my results. Most labs are good. It's rare it's anything bad but an owner needs to be sure so as to keep other expensive rare creatures outta harms way ...always better safe than sorry

Florida Herps, Inc. YES, less than 20 DOA's TOTAL in 3 years. That includes frogs that we have never and will never cover under any warranty.

My Florida Herps experience

I ordered 5 what I thought were CB Lygodactylus williamsi (Neon Blue Dwarf Gecko) in late August 2011. I was only interested in obtaining cb stock as these little guys are being absolutely pillaged from the wild (for a good reference on this check out http://dwarfgeckos.com/Lygodactylus/Lygodactylus_williamsi/Lygodactylus_williamsi.html). The product description on their site stated that they were captive bred (in fact the same description is still available on their site). When the animals arrived 3 out of 5 of them had red mites crawling all over them, indicative of wild caught williamsi. The only explanation for them to have these mites and not be wc would be if they were housed in close proximity to wc stock. Either way I put them on my do not buy list.

Just one man's experience.......
 
They have blocked me and Mr. DeRose from their page. No slander was thrown. Yes, a lil bit of attitude can be detected but c'mon now honest statements and we both were a lil upset still from a dead creature :-( Being herp lovers takes a special person and my friends and I pride ourselves in doing things properly for these animals, so while it irks us we are still trying to get a valid point across and being quite civil about it I think.

Easy access to quick questions or concerns, the BOI is awesome so far. The good and bad information is well maintained and I have yet to find a "search" on the forums...but still new here lol I admire you for putting in the tedious work it takes to run a site this thoroughly and look forward to becoming an avid reader/user/sharer. And I was informed the Lonna is passing out personal information to non customers. AND sending me emails stating I am being charged AGAIN AND HAVE DONE NO FURTHER BUSINESS WITH THEM. Here is what the stalker (Aka Lonna? lol) wrote to me... So here is what this shows.... You got this email from a guy named Alex that said he would make sure the ladies in Customer Service get it so they can help you. BEFORE Lonna ever contacted you, you wrote the shit about writing bad things about them.

"So golly gee Christina - I would have done the exact same thing to you if you had done this to my company. Had you not replied and let Lonna get back to you before saying shit you would have been treated completely differnet. So there we have the truth.

Maybe I should go post all this on Fauna and prove you a fucking liar over there? Wow, it takes all kinds of people I guess...

You should be ashamed of yourself and I for one hope Dr. Bill files slander charges against you. You do not get to go around the internet and lie about a company or slander them. Of course you are protected under the 1st Amendment to freely speak your mind, but
there is a line you crossed when you publically slandered them. Look it up!
