Their is a difference between questioning someones race and qustioning what race someone is.... If you don't want to participate in this "witch hunt" then do not post. This board helped resolve your issue so be grateful. You come off as a little kid throwing a temper tantrum. This thread will be over when all parties are satisfied, not just you. If the plane crash helps some understand the depth of one's character then so be it, get over it. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO POST!
It is a little funny though that Chris and AL might have been correct all along... They really had to jump into the lions mouth on this one! Hopefully all these issues will get resolved in a short period of time, or I would hate to think of the penalties that Fred might face.

Please don't self destruct over this. Noone is saying anything negative about Fred based on his race. Frankly I am a bit shocked over your replies today... When this thread started, I was impressed with your level headed approach. I was impressed with how patient you were being. More importantly, I was impressed with how you handled the heat from pointing the finger at a popular person.

This has been a bad situation for you, others have had bad situations with Fred, and i think people need to be able to make educated decisions about doing business with Fred. As it has been mentioned, if Fred is, in fact, lying about the death of a family memeber, it would be a very contemptable thing. That is where the relavance of that comes in.

The reason that your recent statments are not being taken seriously by me and perhaps by others is that you are making outlandish suggestions. I suspect that this is because you are trying to show us that the suggestion to try to find out if Fred is telling the truth about is brother is equally outlandish. I don't view it to be on the same ball park as requesting DNA evidance.

Personally, I would feel bad about you being banned because I brought up a point of confusion for me.

Does that make sense?

What is going on in your head? You post on here wanting help. You get it, to the point where you actually do get it resolved. Others come forward, all helping you out while telling their story, and you turn into...this.....person who went from quietly and patiently waiting for how many months? for a snake, to someone who can't have any patience for others getting their relief?
It totally boggles my mind on how you turned.
Please think about what you are saying, you MAY need this board in the future again. Sit back, take a deep breath and think if you really want to be banned.
 
You are right...

I did post on here to get help, which I got, and which I am grateful for. But what I did NOT post on here for was to start an investigation into someone's every statement, every action, and actual heritage and genetics.

I feel as though I have started some ball rolling, the nature of which is inflammatory and personal - not business. I thought this was a forum on which business transactions were discussed and verified/not verified - that the inquiries hereon were limited to business and not personal events that may or may not have happened.

If I could take it all back, I would. The amount the snakes I was owed are worth does not in my opinion justify the inquiries into Mr. Albury's car being towed years ago, or the genetics of several unfortunate souls who lost their lives in a plane crash.

As I have said before, isn't the proof provided by myself, Ann, and John Skipper enough? Is there a reason we have to drill further into Fred's personal life to justify the position that he did wrong?

I lost my usually even temper out of frustration. It's one thing to be made to make good on a promise or sale, it is another entirely to be placed in the town square and stoned with personal questions that bear no relevance to the issue - is Fred or is not Fred 'guilty' of not keeping his promises and shipping product? Already been answered without having to delve into plane crashes and car towings.

I apologize for losing my cool, but like I said, this is not anything like I expected. I expected some support, which I got, and I expected that somehow the deal would be consummated, which it was. Is all this continuing going to get John his snakes/money or satisfaction for Ann? I doubt it.

Again, sorry for going off. I was expecting more of a 'c'mon, Fred, make this right' sort of thing rather than an all out investigation and pummelling of his background. I let myself act as childish as I feel some other posters were acting and that is not usually my M.O. I better shut up for the night...

On page 24 Jason Sweigart raised an interesting point that I would like to elaborate on seeing as how proof is an important factor here. Again, the credibilty being the question.

I couldn't agree more. I've seen it over and over from Fred. He also loved to "name-drop" which was a clever way to maintain his "status" as a reputable snake guy making it difficult for anyone to speak out against Fred for fear of persecution. Perhaps you just are not aware of how the BOI is designed to work, so let me try to help you understand something. You see, it was the original intent of the WebSlave that each person have a single thread about them on the BOI. Someone would come along and post a good or bad report about "Joe Schmoe's Exotics." Then others would come on and post their perspectives (good or bad) in the same thread. Over a period of time, the thread started for one reason could very easily go into a completely different direction than it was originally intended to convey. That how it is SUPPOSED to work!

So, see, rather than being evidence that this thread needs to be locked down, the way in which this thread is continuing to examine Fred's honesty and trustworthiness is actually evidence of the BOI working exactly as designed. I understand that you may not have realized that fact, so there you go! Hope that helps your perspective.

As I've said before: Although the details of the plane crash incident aren't any more relevent for me than for Landon, they have been used as a mitigating circumstance.

Mitigating circumstances...mitigate. They are given to lessen the severity of punishment for an offense.

How does that apply here? Well, what's the "punishement" for a bad guy? Loss of business. What's lessening that punishment? That some people may take a chance and do business with a not-so-bad guy who has some excuses. Maybe they'll do in person business instead of send money, or maybe they'll take a chance and send money when the sob story changes to one of a hard working soul pulling himself up by his bootstraps...

So, mitigating circumstances which were given by the guilty party must also be examined. Innocent until proven guilty does NOT apply to mitigating circumstances. The party asking for that consideration needs to provide the proof if asked.

Is this relevant to the discussion? YES. Because some people will still buy from someone if enough convincining pleas to their emotions are made.

How many times have people commented on what a "good guy" someone is on here, even though it took the person -- who made a bad deal in the first place, sometimes several -- several pages of browbeating to do the right thing? The bottom line is, some people will buy excuses, and some have a higher threshold of tolerance than others. Those people deserve to know if someone is lying about their mitigating circumstances, just as much as those of us who only care about the bare facts do.

That's not a witch hunt. Fred brought up the plane crash, and my understanding is that he did it in reference to not meeting his obligations -- and I think someone said that he did so in Landon's case. That makes it a valid target for inquiry.

By raising such a ruckus about it being a witch hunt, etc., you are only playing into Fred's hands if, in fact, he is lying about such an emotionally charged incident. That fact alone says the incident needs to be examined, because it seems to be working.

I, for one have become more interested in whether he's stooped so low as to use the incident for his own gain, or whether he's telling the truth. I'd much prefer to learn that he's telling the truth, as that's a pretty low thing for someone to do.
 
Because of a recent emergency regarding the health of a family member close to me,I was forced to put up snakes for sale when I was ill prepared to do so and ALSO deal with the drama that comes with someone being terminally ill in my family. Now this is a quote from one of his posts back in 07/2002, does anyonw else rember this? I rember seeing this posted all over the place. Because if I rember correctly somewhere he said it was his brother who was sick, I could be wrong but for some reason it just rings a bell with me, anyone else have bells going off? I looked around but couldnt find any of the posts where Fred said who it was, But I seriously think it was his brother.


Also I find this interesting, take note to the date at the very bottom. Goes to show how concerned he was with paying everyone back.

I am looking for an ADULT FEMALE(If possible) Chocolate Cal. King. This bloodline of Cal Kings was made popular by the late Lloyd Lemke, and is distinquished by its chocolate color, lack of white or yellow bands and chocolate ventral coloration. Reg BROWN Cal Kings arent what I am looking for, this snake is distinct in that it for the most part lacks the bands found on most california kingsnakes. For a better idea, think of a BROWN Nigritis(Black Mexican King)

Oh ya heres another wonderfull one he claimed to have the Mad ground boas for well over a year, when in fact he had them less then 1/4 a year. So his memory failed him by 9 months. To be honest I think his ad read more like "Ive had these animals in my collection for over a year" not "Ive had them since......" But of course I was attacked by SAL(where are you Sal?) When I called Fred on it. Just another one of his many lies.
 
This thread should be closed untill somebody who is actually involved in these transactions needs to post an update. This is rediculous, everybody is taking turns bashing everybody else. It's obvious that certain people have hatred for Fred for different reasons and are using this post as a way to get even. Please WebSlave... close this one untill somebody who is actually involved bothers to post.
 
I have to disagree Charles. Leaving this thread open will give other possible victims who have not yet had the opportunity to express themselves or have been afraid to do so a chance. I know for a fact that there are others, but have sworn to keep my mouth shut (as painful as that is) until they are ready to express themselves. Fred and his "pals" have been giving beatings to others over the last few years. Some people will never recover their snakes or their money due to Fred's actions. If Fred's taking a beating here (not undeserved) is the worst to happen to him, he's getting off extremely easily! Why should Fred not be subject to the same garbage he's been dishing out and getting away with for so long? The last time I addressed Fred in a post on KS, it was a legitimate question which happened to disagree with a point he made. What I got in return was a wise @$$ comment from him and his buddies calling me a troll etc. Hey Fred, remember this one? Beep, beep...toot, toot. I don't know what that meant (obvious sarcasm), but right back at ya'.

I think it would only be fair to leave this open to give Fred the opportunity to finally respond, if and when he chooses to do so. Fred himself has the power to end this mess any time HE chooses. Do the right thing Fred. End this. The truth shall set you free.
