In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

If I was Gahns, I wouldn't sell to you again EVER! You are totally coming off as completely unreasonable, not to mention your angry fingers can't seem to get close to the correct keys on your keyboard. At first, I wondered if you were typing in a foreign language and it was going through a translation program or maybe you are missing some keys on the keyboard...my "L" is gone and I have to watch out for that but come on, it's painful to decipher.
Helpful hint.....something good came of this post....I just found the SPELL CHECK button here.....its two buttons over from the SUBMIT REPLY!

Professionalism will get you a lot further with companies when you feel that you have been wronged, even if you havent. Im not going to say that you are crazy or illiterate, but, you have to work on your writing skills so people will take your position more seriously.
If the way you type in this forum is any indication of how you spoke to Tammy at Ghanns, how do you expect them to help you? You use words like Freudian but, this post just oozes something wrong here.
Would you have felt better if Ghanns gave you the crickets for free and then told you to NEVER buy from them again? Thats the type of person I am when I am NOT wrong. I will go out of my way to help any customer out, but normally, I receive payment for them to become my customer first.

now...this is just insane...all of this because a company, who has many more customers then JUST YOU.....did not email you when you did not pay them...guess what

then your twice as wrong for not emailing or calling them yourself...your the pot calling the kettle black with that idea....you have NO RIGHT to be mad at them for not contacting you when A) they had NO obligation whatsoever to do so and B) you didn't contact them yourself!!!!
your also wrong for expecting them to fix this situation with how you have been acting, and for the fact there is nothing for them to fix in the first place!! your order did not go through in time for the shipping you wanted to get....to bad, so sad...try again next time...you are not the only person alive who has ever had to deal with delayed shipping
almost NO company will ship on a Friday....there are many many reasons why....costs more, and very likely something could happen and shipping would get stuck and your package would sit in limbo until the following week....where upon you would have dead bugs, which is a whole different situation that you most likely would have freaked out over as well
now...you said you came here expecting support and to tell your story....well guess what...the BOI is a courtroom....not a therapy session...we are not here to baby you and make you feel better or support you in ways that NONE of us agree with....your story was told to a jury of your peers...and we have found Gahns innocent....and I would have to say if you keep going further i would suggest a plea of insanity on your part may be necessary

Shannen I am not certain of your age or if English is perhaps a second language for you. But when you make a post, especially an uneditable one on the BOI, I highly suggest making use of the spell check function that is just below the reply box when typing a response that way we will not have to question and/or insult your lack of intelligence, whoops I mean intelligence.

have been ordering crickets and meals from them for years never a problem but i always call direct and avoid the whole online hassle. great people from my dealings.

Richard... Im not worried. I believe on the multiple occasions when we talked on the phone I told you what I do for a living. I can handle myself just fine.... but from the looks of it the staff didn't honor my request. Oh well... she dug her own grave...er I mean shot herself in the foot.

I have to say that I was and am very surprised to find a bad guy listing for Ghann's. I have been using them weekly for a couple of years now and when I saw them on dirty jobs I was shocked to see how large of a company it is. I am always treated like I am their main priority which made me think it was a small company. I have always admired the customer service that they provide and the few shipments that I received that came in damaged(2 or 3 in a few years is not too bad)they were quick to replace the damaged shipments and without any questions asked. I believe they are a stand up company and would and do recommend them to my customers. I even have them listed on my caresheet that I give to every customer.
Oversights in shipping can happen, especially when they are not paid for the shipment....to call a company a bad guy for that is unprovoked in my opinion.

Is it just me, or does the reptile industry seem to have many people that seem to have been dropped as babies? I know a lot of breeders, myself included who are against inbreeding of their animals but really people... lets stop inbreeding the breeders too.

I just placed my order with Ghann's and also felt I should inform them of this thread since I do not recall seeing anywhere where they have responded to anything on here...not that they even need to...lol.
I informed the person on the phone who knew and recalled the exact person who started this thread so I am assuming that any phone calls were most likely as off the wall, irate and irrational as this whole thread is.
I can't say it enough....I was and still am totally shocked that a bad guy thread existed about Ghann's as I have even told them that in a day when customer service seems to be making a quick exit in this country, it is refreshing to deal with a company who still believes that the way to doing more business is in keeping your customers happy. I for one admire the cutomer service that Ghann's provides and will even go so far as to say that if my customer service is even half of what theirs is then I think I'm doing a good job.
For such a large company to make every customer feel as if they are their biggest and most important customer...it says a lot.
And I don't believe they are "lyings" at all.
If you did not pay for a shipment....why in the world you think you are due an E-mail or phone call let alone the shipment, is totally beyond me. You did not pay, whether it was a paypal error or not. Why should they come to you and find out why you did not pay and make sure your animals are fed? It just makes no sense.
You have a right to be upset that you did not get your shipment, but look at the big picture and who's fault it truly is. You should be upset at yourself, not paypal and not Ghann's. You should have made sure that the $ went through and you should have contacted Ghann's (calmly)and told them of the problem and ask them to ship....after you actually pay for the shipment.
If you ordered a refridgerator and your payment did not go through, would you really expect Sears or whoever to contact you to let you know you are not gonna get your fridge? No, they didnt' get money, you don't get product...done. It is your responsibility to ensure that payment is made, if not then it is your fault.
Also, your length of time here on the BOI has no bearing on how people are responding to this thread. People are responding because they are shocked that you are reacting this way to a stand up company(at least I am). They are also reacting to the way in which you are trying to present your case. Saying someone is "full of ir" and saying they are "lyings" does not go far to increase your credibility and threatening someone to come down to Florida where the gators will leave no trace of them does not help either.
I am not threatening you when I say that you have dug your own grave. I am merely saying that you came on here to make a point but you killed that point with each post you made and you kept digging a bigger and bigger hole and I personally don't see how you will possibly be able to dig your way out. You tried to make a stand up company look bad, and instead it backfired and you made yourself come accross as an idiot. I don't like to call names but could not think how else to word that.
