In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry Genefreak339 / Michael Harshbarger

I already PMd John about this. Hope he reads it today. This pied is supposedly going to be shipped tomorrow to John

Im new to Fauna as well, and I complete agree that this guy's rep is going down the tubes relatively quickly. I have to agree with the individual(s) that said that you guys, "The Fauna Family", are quick to release the whip on people. I've gotten 1 infraction, due to me calling a scammer a douche**g, but y'all are ruthless. The first half of the thread, Michael was trying to explain himself, and more than once it seemed like certain people were calling him a liar, and a deceiver. It did turn out to be true, that this individual has a lot of explaining to do, but the first 2-3 pages did not warrant anyone making it seem like he was the scum of the earth.

When you sell an animal, it should be perfect, and any defects listed in the ad, and under no circumstance is it acceptable to hide/crop any defects out of a picture.

This is also my first year breeding, but I do the resources to buy pretty much any animal that I want. Just because I can afford a $5,000 snake, and sell it's offspring, will it throw a flag because I'm telling you that it's my first year, and Im selling Mystic Potions? It shouldn't matter if it's my first year, or my 10th year. If I honestly present a healthy, correctly sexed, mite free snake, it shouldn't matter how many years I've been breeding. I shouldn't feel like Im being scolded, or my reputation being questioned due to the fact that I can afford to start out in this community with more high end snakes. I had the same snake for 5 years, and then began to add to my collection. Now Im starting breeding, and I just don't want anyone questioning me as a person, because I have 11 posts total and am selling Banana hatchlings.

One of the Mods said (Not an exact quote), "You came from no where listing higher end animals...." or something to that nature....Why should it matter what anyone lists if they are in fact their the original owner of the hatchlings?

I will take the infraction if I got off track from the thread, but it just frustrates me that when I list my hatchlings this coming season, and honestly represent them, that I will get 'flagged' because Im not selling your base morphs that the majority of people start out with.

Michael has also been added to my "Do Not Buy" list.

Thanks.

Trey Jackson

*I do not own a Banana/Mystic Potion, just using them as examples.*

Since John hasn't posted his experience yet, and given a thread that was started elsewhere, I'm inclined to believe the money's been spent and now he's trying to quickly sell the animal so he can refund.

This is what I said...

Listen, you came out of nowhere and are listing some high-end animals. People are going to ask questions (as shown within this thread). If you're on the up & up and can account for everything that we're throwing your way...then I'm sure you'll join the good guy ranks in no time. Although I'm not sure how you can explain some of this stuff...stranger things have happened. I'm simply putting this out there for others to decipher.

I think its pretty obvious what I was trying to convey...but let me rephrase it for you...(all I did was add the word "HENCE")

Michael was frustrated enough with this thread as to refer to it as a pissing match. I was implying that part of the reason this thread (as well as his ad) is so active was because, as you pointed out...

I will take the infraction if I got off track from the thread, but it just frustrates me that when I list my hatchlings this coming season, and honestly represent them, that I will get 'flagged' because Im not selling your base morphs that the majority of people start out with.

Its not the norm for a "new guy" to burst onto the scene in the manner that Michael did...so, questions will be asked (ESPECIALLY with the amount of discrepancies he brought to the table).

Michael has also been added to my "Do Not Buy" list.

Michael is now on your "Do Not Buy" list...yet you're criticizing the very techniques which helped expose him? :shrug01:

So is it Trey or Charles? That is the type of things that people are going to scrutinize, especially when your real full name needs to be on every BOI post you make... but let's say you did produce banannas your first year wouldn't you have the animals to prove you produced that bananna? IE you go claiming you have pastels double het caramel clown for sale then you better have a caramel clown to show how you got there. If not what's everyone going to think? Its not hard to show fauna your a good guy but on the flipside if your a bad guy it doesn't take fauna long to figure it out either, do great business and you will be respected.

"Chuckels"....there are a LOT of different "flags" that folks look for when trying to determine whether or not a seller is legitimate. One of those MAJOR flags is when a seller comes out of nowhere selling high-dollar animals (be they ball pythons, geckos, or whatever).

Of course there are people who have money to burn on high-end animals to start their business off with a bang....but more often than that, we are exposed to scammers who claim to have high dollar animals and they don't. Also, I know of several different very specific instances where high dollar animals have been stolen. Eventually, those animals or their babies are going to end up back on the market....and they won't be coming from someone who has a good rep built up over years of hard work.

While it may not seem fair to someone like you with plans to burst on the scene in just such a manner (legitimately, I'm sure!) .....don't blame the skeptics....blame the scammers who paved the road ahead of you.

I have no idea to use the quote feature....

Nicholas said: Michael is now on your "Do Not Buy" list...yet you're criticizing the very techniques which helped expose him?

I am absolutely not criticizing the techniques used to expose him as a deceiver. I am however criticizing the fact that before anyone brought to light the other proof, aside from the original post, people were scolding him and making it seem like he was trying to sell a mite infested snake with mouth rot and an RI. The fact that he missed a kink and knew the sex of a snake is kind of fishy, but it doesn't warrant him being treated like he scammed someone out of thousands of dollars. Now that his true colors have been brought to the table, he deserves any criticism that he gets.

Charles is my Legal Name, but Trey is what I go by. I hate Charles. My legal name is what I registered when I came to this site, and I just put Trey because that is what I prefer to be called. If thats an issue, you have my legal name under my avatar.

If I did produce, I would have the animals to prove it. I paired some snakes together last year, and took pictures of every copulation I witnessed. They are also dated. Photo Identification is important because we have recessive genes that require Heterozygous incase you don't have visual parents. If I ever sold a Het, I would provide visual proof (Photo ID) of the parents copulating. I require that if I purchase a Het, if you cant prove the parents are yours, and the hatchlings are yours, I have no issue of saying 'No, Thanks for the offer.' .....

I understand that nowadays it's really hard to trust people, Im only 24, so I don't remember the days when a simple handshake was good enough. I grew up in those standards, but where I live now its completely different.

I absolutely understand what your saying. I am coming on the scene with a bang, and its 100% legitimate. My wife and I have stable jobs (Military), that pay very well, and we are very good with our money. My goal is to have a table at the Daytona & NARBC within the next 4 years. My second enlistment with the military ends in 3 years!

Okay here we go again with some explanations:

1. About the pics, the pics of the animals on my adds were always the animal that I was selling. I was what some would call "flipping" snakes. I was getting good deals on some animals and selling them for profit to build my collection. Some people might few this as wrong or shady but truth is that it happens all the time, not only in the reptile community but in every day life. Now I know I went about it the wrong way and did not ask permission to use the pics and I admit that was wrong. I did inquire about all the animals and price before I posted them. Every animal pictured in my adds were the actual snake for sale. You can ask sean at EBN I asked about every one of those mojo spiders and I actually have bought one that I will post a pic of with my name in the background soon after this post.

2. The bee that I supposedly sold multiple time. Not much explaining needed her, as I'm sure we all know how much BS you can get when someone says hold this snake for me and I will pay for it tonight, then you mark it sold and get no reply from them.

3. Question of my genetic understanding. To me a bee is a pastel, spider. Which would make me think that a mojo spider is (Mojave and spider), a mojo bee (pastel, mojave, spider) and mojo killer bee (super pastel, mojave, spider). If a mojo bee is a (mojave, spider) then what would a (mojave, pastel, spider) be called even that what would you call a (super pastel, mojave, spider)???? I have seen many breeders call there mojo crosses the same as I did, including EBN.

Shlages I have refunded your money on the pied and even sent you screen shots of my paypal account and my own bank account to prove that all I have told you through PM is 100% honest. I hope you let all these people on FC know about how everything went and that you just wanted a refund because of the situation on this thread and not because there was anything wrong with the animal. I have bent over backwards, doing everything you have asked: sending pics with my name and date in the background, close ups of the pied specifically where you asked, gave you my personal email and phone #, and even took pics of my paypal and bank account to prove that everything I told you was honest. I just hope you can tell the people on here how everything went.

If there is anything else just ask me and I will explain as best I can.

spider bred to lesser, mojo, butter make mojo bee, lesser bee, butter bee.

Mojo x pastel x spider is mojave bumblebee
Mojo x super pastel x spider will produce killer mojo bumblebees.

Bee does not mean it has pastel in it. Read up

Was this done before, or after we saw it up for sale again? As we have not yet heard from Shlages, we may as well ask you.

Ah, makes since now. Gotta add the bumble.... Sorry bout that.

Yes he inquired about the refund I think 2 days before the add went up on Kingsnake, It says he is online now so maybe he can back me up on that.

Wow Micheal you are one for the books...Sad thing is when your rep gets so bad you cant even give snakes away, someone will be right there to replace you, doing the same low thing...

That is your opinion and I respect that but a few questions. When you went and bought gas today did you get it for the same price the gas station paid for it or did they buy there gas for less and charge you more for it? If you look at your daily life can you really not say you have neve bought something for less and sold for more? You must not be into stocks. I am not by any means trying to say what I did was right but I am trying to say that what I did never hurt anyone. The seller I bought from got what he/she was asking for the snake and the person buying from me got the snake he/she wanted.
Dont know how true this is buy I heard from a breeder in daytona that someone bought the first Dreamsicle from ralph for $30,000 and sold it the next day for $40,000. Pretty good investment if you ask me, isnt that what 90% of the people into ball pythons are doing? Investing in snakes to raise up, breed, and sell? I did the same thing just didnt raise them up and breed them.
