    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Glades Herp Farms/Florida (RobRoy MacInnes) - fraudulent behaviour

Still no news of Mr. MacInnes...
To see sadly how heedlessly some people handle with her business partners!

My news to Glades: Mr. MacInnes, so this does not run. They pay a share sum, then one hears sine die nothing again from you. Is it usual to handle in the United States thus with his contracting partners? I think, rather not... Why I should not turn to a public forum to divide my experiences with you with others? On the 04th of June is in Hamm a fair. You also want to have a stand there. I, my sollicitor and the bailiff please us already to get to know you.

I've bought snakes from Glades Herps that were not as advertised even after speaking to them on the phone and being assured that they were exactly as I told them they should look based on their add. I also have contacted them multiple times about adds on snakes where the picture was not the snake they were advertising...of course, they make no changes to the add....I would not recommend them.

I'm not trying to be an ass because your English is better than my (non-existant) German, but that part you italicized doesn't make a lot of sense. You might ask a coworker or friend who is better at written English to go over it.
 
I think he is using an online translator and is copy and pasting it to the Forum... If you read it carefully you can kind of add the right words in english to know what he is saying.. I had to re-read this a few times to figure it out. I know that if you type in a phrase in another language on Google it will translate it to english, but it wont always make the most sense...

Anywho, I hope you have the best of luck getting this situation resolved... I too have heard some not soo good news about Glades, and have seen some of their venomous at shows in Northeastern Pennsylvania... (alot of them are sub par) I wouldn't recommend giving them business either... They also don't have a care in the world about the people they sell HOTS to... At the Hamburg show in PA i once saw Glades sell a 18 year old kid a pair of Gaboons, and the kid never had hots in his life, nor much other experience... Seems to me they are all about the almighty BUCK instead of the safety and thought of checking someone's experience level and habitat requirements before they sell LETHAL animals...

I live about 40 miles south of Glades Herps... I wonder how many Taipans we have slithering loose around their property? :( Rumor has it they moved to the north because of the escaped animals they had down near Naples.... TOO MUCH BAD PRESS WITH GLADES TO THINK THEY COULD POSSIBLY BE A GOOD COMPANY.

I'm sure there are others with far more knowledge of this than I, but I'm sure Glade's is resposbile for a large portion of exotic herp populations in S. Florida. They seem very shady and unethical.

All this blaming them for released/escaped snake population in south Florida and blah blah blah is irrelavent and u have no proof to back it up. So quit running ur mouth on useless, off topic speculations u have no idea to be true or false. This is about an international contract that is being broken because the OP is on the other side of the pond, and Glades feels they can get away with it. Glades needs to pay up or they wont get any more business from me.

Yeah we've all heard too much bs about the "invasive snake pop. in so. Fl." Theres no way to link Glades to that. They just need to pay up or give the guy his property back. Which he probably wouldnt want back after being held in their facility. I know I wouldnt want anything from them possibly infecting my collection. So PAY THE GUY.
 
Original Poster/Ben These guys at Glades now have a tv show on cable called Swamp Brothers. They should be making big $$$$ for this show. Theres no reason he shouldnt have the measly 5 thousand dollars he owes you for the snakes. I'd go full force after this guy. Or if he's paid up please tell us here on the BOI. Good luck with the pursuit of this matter.

I have given Glades time till the end of this month to pay the money to myself what he owes to me. I become, he should not pay, refund complaint beside the debt recovery also. So we only could wait how Glades decides!

I was wondering who those two numskulls could be. Start linking this thread to blog posts about the show. More traffic for Fauna and it could put pressure on them to pay up.
 
Wow! How disappointing : ( I had good service from them, but I dealt with them in person , at a Repticon show.

I hope they pay their debts in full asap!

Sorry you are having to deal with this, especially being from another country so far away... it makes it more stressful to deal with for you & I sympathize.
 
Does anyone remember Marcus Cantos launching over Robroys tables hitting him after a squabble over a bounced check in 2008 Daytona? I do, I was fifteen feet from it. Like contacting a lawyer, but different. But it does show how two people handle their debts. I know both took a two year suspension from vending at Wayne Hills' show. It was weird not seeing Glades Herp 6 table extravaganza and Marcus' rearrangement of the room.

Ben, with a history of Robroys' unapologetic approach to debt, I would bypass the non legal action and go straight to the courts.
 
I already posted it on the Swamp Brothers Facebook page as well as two blogs that came up via a search. Just keep going around posting the link.
 
The guy has a ton of large reptiles on his "farm". Supposedly his cuban crocs are worth 20K apiece. I know nothing about crocs or their value but it seems to me with reptiles of that value he should have 5k. Imo, i think he thinks since the seller is in Germany he can get away with this.

I hope he cares for his reptiles better than he takes care of his debts. I wont even let someone send me something I havent paid in full for. I dont ever want to put myself in a position where something unexpected arises and i cant fullfill my obligation.

Way to go, link this thread to everything assoc with them. Only way to possibly get the guy to pay up. He's had over 6 months to get this guy his cash. He has no intentions of paying his debt or he would have sent him payments on this balance by now.
 
just saw on tv that he made a scaleless snake worth 20k, his own words on tv...I hate cheap people that have the money just will not pay because of a mind change. Think before you agree to a contract.
 
I'm confused here. The thread starter dealt with Robroy MacInnes but I think people in this thread are confusing Rob Keszey with Robroy... two different people... same business but two different people.
 
They may very well have animals worth whatever amount of money but that does not mean they have any money to pay bills with. Can't pay debts in crocs or snakes.

It doesn't matter. Glades Herp is Glades Herp. What Discovery channel would do a show featuring a scum company that can't pay its bills is beyond me. :shrug01:
