The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yesterday was a normal day.
Everyone in the house got ready for work/school.

I was at work and was completely swamped when I get a call from my brother to say that one of our lovebirds was hopping around on one leg. I thought, "oh no!" I told him to make the bird as comfortable as possible thinking he may have injured his leg. Everyone got home super late, well at least too late to take the bird to a vet and my dad said he would leave me cash to take him tomorrow morning.

Well, tomorrow morning was too late because when my mom woke up, he was dead. I was awaken to "What would you like for breakfast, and your mom has news for you." I walked into my parents bedroom and saw the look on her face, it wasn't good news. After crying for a while, I went to the cage and then cried some more when I saw the other bird alone.

I wonder if I would have just come home from work and taken him to the vet if he would still be alive. He was so cute...I remember this one time the door for the porch was opened and he flew out to the porch below ours looked around the big city and came back in. :( I'll miss 'em.

It is the most normal thing to question one's self when a beloved pet dies. But, indulging guilt is not a necessary penance. Birds are notorious for hiding illness. Often, by the time the human notices that something is wrong the illness is far advanced. It can be very difficult to save them at that point. Also, birds can become highly stressed very easily and can often succumb to that stress--even unto death.

Don't beat yourself up. Would'a, should'a, could'a is a time and energy waster. You learn from what has happened and go on. Many people find great benefit in creating some little ritual to honor the life of the deceased pet.

Everytime we make the choice to share our life with an animal, and that animal becomes special, we have to acknowledge that eventually the day comes when we lose them. Sad, but still worthwhile I think.

Yeah, I'm trying not to. We buried the bird by our plants upstairs. A pretty plant...hehe. I'm sort of nervous about the other one. I hear when one dies the other goes soon after.

Lola, Sorry to hear of your loss.
It is always sad to lose a beloved pet.
They are so much a part of our families.
Keep your chin up, and I hope your other
feathered friend will not mourn to long.
My heart goes out to you and your family.

im also very sorry for your loss lola...but sad to say..what you heard is mostly true, but there are those one of a kind ones that manage to make it alone...as you may already know..love birds require a lot of attention....i would suggest giving it twice as much as you already do...make it feel like your its new partner....its going to be hard for a while...but you two will manage im sure...take care of yourself and your love bird...and give her a kiss for me on its belly..theyre soo cute when their all fat and their feathers look like fur.....MMUUUAA.
