Yesterday was a normal day.
Everyone in the house got ready for work/school.
I was at work and was completely swamped when I get a call from my brother to say that one of our lovebirds was hopping around on one leg. I thought, "oh no!" I told him to make the bird as comfortable as possible thinking he may have injured his leg. Everyone got home super late, well at least too late to take the bird to a vet and my dad said he would leave me cash to take him tomorrow morning.
Well, tomorrow morning was too late because when my mom woke up, he was dead. I was awaken to "What would you like for breakfast, and your mom has news for you." I walked into my parents bedroom and saw the look on her face, it wasn't good news. After crying for a while, I went to the cage and then cried some more when I saw the other bird alone.
I wonder if I would have just come home from work and taken him to the vet if he would still be alive. He was so cute...I remember this one time the door for the porch was opened and he flew out to the porch below ours looked around the big city and came back in.
I'll miss 'em.
