In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Matt...I will have to get down there one of these days and help you put that AK through it's paces. Hell, I'll even bring the ammo...

Sounds like a plan to me.. I have been a ton of guns latley...lol.. Just got back from the hospital and have a ton of work to do so this thread is not on my priority list right now..

Just read this thread and Matt, wow, I would have probably hung myself after dealing with that dude/great uncle/cousin/niece/uncle/sister in law/ex girlfriend thing. I got the BEST laugh I have had in a while...."hores rideing lessons" and then my favorite:
"there are two sides to every side". I dont think that that is physically possible, but um yeah, okay. Maybe this fella/ex wife/sister/14 year old boy/9 year old daughter person will go get some help for his (their ???) schizophrenia. You know, too wrights dont mak a rong (as our friend Greg would probably say)....and Matt, you defintely dont make a wrong here at all. :)

Yeah Matt, Greg seems to have some problems and that seems to justify your patience. In these situations you just tell the seller thanks, but no thanks. I'm very curious about Greg, I hope he gets help. And if Greg's sister really was posting here, she's the one responsible for everything that has happened and she needs to keep better track of what her brother is doing on the internet, especially since he is using "her" paypal account......... all of this is assuming though that she's a real person and not one of Greg's personalities.

Ohhhhhh Matt-
I dont think Steve or I would have handled that half way as good as you did! It is a marvel to your professionalism and quality that after all his "bad dealings" he still kept going back to you and asking for something else. You are truely a great bussiness man. Congrats on handling it so well and thank you for the HUGE heads up.

Sincerely,
Rose & Steve Aguilar

As far as I know, a paypal payment pulled from your bank account DOES equal an e-check and DOES take several days to clear and for the recipient to receive the funds. Even if it is taken out of the sender's bank account right away, that doesn't mean that the recipient has received it. That banking transfer time might account for some of the delay, but not everyone may realize that is how Paypal works.

Well, not exactly the case always - In some transactions I've had, Paypal immediately pulls the balance to my Paypal account and then sends it as an "instant payment" to the other person. This does not require time to clear. Perhaps this has to do with being verified, or having some remainder of money in my Paypal account first? I also have a CC listed as "backup funding" so perhaps that's why.

I have also had some transactions that did post as Echecks through Paypal and required time to clear, but those were from checkout links directly off ebay.

...In some transactions I've had, Paypal immediately pulls the balance to my Paypal account and then sends it as an "instant payment" to the other person. This does not require time to clear... (liquidleaf)

It must work that way at times for their best customers. I don't know all of the details of how it works, just that it seems like I have gotten a lot of e-checks when my customer thought that I already had the money. I thought that might have been the cause of the confusion when his sister (Kathy Mary, I think?) said she didn't send an e-check, but had the Paypal payment taken immediately out of her bank account, so couldn't understand why the items couldn't be sent immediately. That may not have been what happened at all, but I thought it COULD be a reasonable explanation, and that she might not understand that is what happened.

Actually what it was is Greg sent me the payment from his paypal account as an echeck. He was unsure if it would clear or not(it didnt) and then had a second payment sent to me by his sister. I was not shipping until the return was received or I had some info from paypal telling me it was ok to ship. When the date from Gregs echeck was pushed back then that usually means it will not clear and didnt. As you guys can imagine I was not taking any chances what so ever on getting screwed on this as I had a bad feeling that is what was going to happen.. That why the supplies were shipped to the sisters house as that is where the payment originated(seller protection policy:)) He has asked me to refund the payment from his sisters account to his paypal account as well.. lol.. Hommie dont play that!!

greg was sure the echeck wouldnt clear because he was having troubles in the homefront and his own account had to be closed due to someone hacking his banking account and stealing money. that is why he asked me to send the money. i am verified thru paypal so the transaction is immediate and there is no waiting. if i had known you were going to wait to see if the echeck would have cleared i would have waited to send the money. as far as waiting 30 minutes at usps, if matt would have put the correct postage in the first place i wouldnt have had to go there at all as no signature was required- they just wanted the money for the postage that was still due.

best regards,
kathrynmary

You wouldnt have known I was going to WAIT to MAKE SURE I wasent going to be SCREWED OVER(aka scammed) as I had never spoken with you I dont beleive. I put the correct postage on the box lady :deadhorse.. I have shipped like 15 packages since I have been in business and all of them have been good to go.. Next week were hoping to ship like 3 more :bandhead0 :bandhead0 :bandhead0

i have never had a seller wait on an item when i paid thru paypal especially being verified besides the money comes out right away when you send it the way i did. i have received money thru paypal payments myself and the money shows up in my banking account the next day. i am sure you rarely talk to all your customers and many just pay thru your site or do you make new buyers wait 15 days for instant payments? no you DID NOT put the correct postage on the second box, they left a pink slip saying they wanted more money in my mailbox. when i went to the post office they told me it was for lack of shipping paid. that is the honest truth. i have no reason to lie and i dont expect you to admit any wrong doing either but i do want others to be aware of what happened as i dont feel you are being honest. none of you know me and many probably dont care but even if one person listens and takes note of my side then all of this was worth the effort.

best regards,
kathrynmary

Matt...Hats off to you for your civility and patience...I must admit, my West Virginia Hillbilly head is aching........ :eek2:

I do not doubt that the USPS asked for more money, they have done that to me as well. But that being said I put the correct postae on that box. The system we use is automated and you put the box on the scale and the computer does the rest through paypal.. Can you honestly not understand what I am trying to tell you.. I am going to try and get it through to you one more time as this whloe deal is starting to get on my nerves...

I could not ship GREGS order right away because he was making a return they I had not received..

The total for the new order(the amount you sent me in paypal) included the credit from the return. Did you want me to ship free items, I bet so as Greg tried to get me to give him free flexwatt.

Your sweet honest brother was trying to get me to send your payment to his paypal account.. RED FLAG

I waited to see what the deal was on HIS echeck as I did not want to have any money in my paypal account from anyone in your family as it is judt plain dangerous to do so..

The date expected clearance date was puched up so I knew it was going to bounce..

I shipped the package(s)

This is as simple as I can put it...

Dont you love sterotypes..lol.. Actually I am a hillbilly and darn proud of it..

ask far as i know the date that i sent the money you already had the returned flexwatt as it was sent priority and that takes 2-3 days and was sent a week or more before i made the paypal payment.

my brother did not want my money sent to his account. he wanted the echeck (from bandango8 who is his ex wife) sent to his account (argiley2k) if on the off chance it did clear. which i understand might confuse you.

i didnt expect you to send items for free and i never said that. you do keep changing your story. first you didnt send the items because you were waiting to see if the echeck would clear (even though my money was in your account), then you said you didnt trust me and felt you might get scammed so you waited 15 days, then you say its because you hadnt received the returned items.

as clear as i can get it is i sent money on january 15 and you shipped the items 15 days later.

regards,
kathrynmary

You have got to be kidding me. I have not changed my story lady.. I was waiting to ship your super smart brothers order for all 3 reasons.. Go back and read it again until you can understand the simple language of english. There were to many factors that told me not to ship until everything was safe for me. I am sorry but myself and probably noone here would have shipped the order same day either. I have seen a ton of scammers come to light here on the BOI and you and your brother fit the bill.. Ill copy and paste the info from above so you can read it again without working that tricky mouse....

You really shouldent keep talking for someone else. Your brother needs to pay his fine and come back and defend himself here. Your talking about things you have no idea about(imagine that)..

Matt,
I am no stranger to participating in long threads, although I hope that they usually entail issues of greater importance, such as alleged fraud, scams, money owed, TOS not honored, etc. My point to Kathryn Mary would be that there is no longer an issue here, that short of bringing startling new revelations to the table, the chance to hope to influence people in a way different than whatever conclusion they may have already drawn is long past. The deal is done, nothing is owed, and the "facts" have been on the table for some time. If you feel you are in a hole still, I would suggest it is only getting deeper with every post. Unlike others, I will not say "enough already" or "time to move on". That would be for your friends to say, and I am not counted in that group.

well it was my money and my account and sent to my home so i do have a say in all of this. there are lots of people who have posted who arent involved and i dont see you trying to degrade them. i have been polite and respectful and not tried to put anyone down, your attempts to put me down just show your true character. i will not resort to acting like you are stupid and critizing spelling errors, grammer errors etc. i have more respect for Gods children that to resort to name calling and humilation. i didnt say ship same day but within a couple of days would have been good not 15.
regards,
kathryn

Lest there be any confusion about my above post, after the first sentance, all of the "you's" refer to Kathryn Mary.

i figured it was me you were refering as you are most likely matts friend and not mine, even though matt has commented more than i on this subject.
