    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I haven't made a purchase from Gus...but I did contact for some information some time ago. Of the 3 people I contacted, Gus' response was the most personable and the most useful. He readily offered the information I sought, and a bit more, even though I made it clear that I was not contemplating a purchase at that time. When the time comes, I would purchase from him without hesitation.

*I do have some animals that were originally purchased from Rio Bravo - they are of excellent quality, and are outstanding examples of that locale/group!
 
My experience with Gus is like almost everyone elses. I bought a pair of great snakes at a great price. He even let me pay on them for a few months since I was broke as a joke(had to pay for a wedding). When I got them I was, and still am, 100% satisfied. Thanks Gus!! -Chris
 
I haven't as yet actually purchased anything from him, but based on many good references, I've signed up for his notification e-mails for some of the insular species or "types" he deals with. Thirty + years dealing in herps, but have never owned a BC. I've been keen on getting some of the "smaller" ones the past couple years.
 
just received my Surinam's and i must say selective captive breeding at its finest and as always the transaction with Gus is flawless

I purchased a pair of Corn Islands from Gus and everything went as planned. Very easy transaction and the snakes were awesome.. The only thing that bothered me was during the process of trying to get info from Gus, I had inquired on three different occasions about a few things. After the third time he replied back to me "When your done price shopping we can do a deal". I thought that was a little strange when I had already told him I was planning on making a purchase. Besides that packaging was top notch and shipping went very well. I will definitely purchase again in the future.
