Pam continues to mentioning IBD. I want to go on public record stating, that if that snake has contracted IBD then is is not from us. Not one of our snakes from that clutch or any others that we are selling have any signs of sickness. They are all in perfect health, eating and behaving normally. Our animals have given us no cause to be alarmed.

The signs and symptoms as she has described them would indicate that this is not IBD. Based upon the description provided, I would tend towards it being environmental. This is not to say that it's due to husbandry. Even with good husbandry, a snake can still be exposed to a toxin or pathogen locally.

As for the manner in which the snake was shipped, much ado is being made over nothing.

Pam, I was going to give you the name. I really was. But your actions here prevents me from giving you this persons personal info. Sorry you did this. You are now backing down about the animal being sick and being Dan's fault as people want to see SOMETHING from the vet. You posted Dan's letter. Post something from the vet. Show us you did not make that up.

As I will talk to the breeder myself and so will Dan. Not for you for us. But as I stated. I have some of his animls here and they are doing 100% fine. Dan has admitted to much that was wrong. Okay. I admit the snake could have gotten sick many ways and even in transit!

Why would you come to a huge public forum with many many breeders who's lives depend on sales of snakes and represent yourself as a person who would not help a person who has gone through many mistakes with the transaction of this snake?

I really really need to know who produced this animal so i can relax a bit and focus more on this snake instead of trying to get him to either make a posting or give me his name...please.

It almost seems as though he does not want to be mentioned here. Or you don't want him mentioned here for whatever reason.

I'm simply asking for the breeders name. Or at least tell me has any of his Boas ever been sick and died when sold shortly after, or anything that may help. I bought from chaosreptiles in good faith! With promise of breeder!!!

If this man has great dealings with people, fantasic! I do have one of his babies he produced! This info. can be extremely important to the future of the snake. I want to claer this up as much as the BOI would like to see it cleared up. This is why i am here and now yet again. I don't want to wait until the show the 14th... My snake seems to be doing ok. Alot has happened from shipping to papers...no matter what happened, i do think i should have the respect of having correct papers as was promised before the payment of my money to chaosreptiles.

And this is true. I was always aware of this. IBD can show signs of a snake that will flip as well. But i am not tossing IBD at anyone, this snake is seemingly doing better. The condensation in the cup with the heat i did mention to Dan today. He said he does not ship in plastic cups. His girlfriend did the packing of the snake.

For crying out loud, are you not reading what Gary has posted SEVERAL times? He has several snakes from the SAME clutch your snake came from. Siblings to your snake. He got them directly from the breeder and all are 100% healthy. He has had no problems with snakes from the breeder.

And i really can't control the snake's bowel movements, i tried, it just didn't work.
If you're not a liar, then you're delusional, because i honestly don't know how many times someone's account can get hacked or fabricated without that person getting wise to it. Heck, this might not even be you...

I don't doubt they can be 100% healthy, but after the mess up i have been through i don't know who to believe, anymore.

I am asking for what many other people are asking in different BOI threads, names of breeders, or papers. AS i was promised, the breeders name, not a fake!

Oh stop it, it was not hacked...it was created by an ex? Would make sense, he has spammed groups on myspace before..MR. CLEAN.

You shipped my snake. You made all the mistakes then. Yea the deli cup with pin holes (about 5 or 6 on the side) a very airtight box with major packing material in it. That box was hot. And the papers? What happened? They have my name on them?

Now you don't give the breeders name. It's a damn game.

As far as the Vets name. The snake is alive. I will be taking it to my Vet. who will then run a battery of tests i am sure. The Vet. papers are not important. It's parasites i told Dan. Snakes get them all the time. No fault of mine perhaps or Dans. That i will agree with. If something serious that kills this animal happens which it has not and it's been seemingly ok when i check on it, i would let the ones who need to know, know.

If a snake has IBD then everyone needs to know asap! But i'm looking over it (i'm not a Vet.) but he moved today and moved yet again...no flipping the tail over, or i honestly would have told Dan about that!

If your friend got sick holding one of your feeder rats , you need to take some into the vet and have them checked as well. To fill you in on a bit here , It is the keepers fault if their animals get parasites from infested feeders , contamination from sick animals or lack of cleanliness. You have a post on the site that says you take in rescues. Rescues can be beat up , mistreated , sick , parasite infested etc. If your husbandry , which I question highly , is sub par then cross contamination happens easily. By your posts I question you keeping anything , even moldy sandwiches in the fridge. Until you realize you have short comings in your husbandry then YOU are your animals worst enemy.


Why in the hell do you keep hootin about IBD? Are you still trying to do as much damage as you can in a feeble attempt to discredit Dan & Josh?

The BOI is here to to do background checks , post good guy posts and bad guy posts. If you would do just the tiniest bit of research you would have seen , maybe not comprehended but seen that Bad Guy threads start AFTER all other means of a resolution have failed. During shipping, which is a stressful time for any animal, such containers provide the snake with the feeling of being in a secure space where no predators can get it. Also, ventilating the outer box is counterproductive, as it would make the interior more prone to temperature fluctuations. More than enough air "breathes" through the cardboard to sustain the relatively slow metabolism of a reptile. Finally, we have the feces... snakes are uncanny in their ability to defecate exactly when they shouldn't (by our standards, at least). While it would be ideal to prevent a snake from evacuating during transit, the stresses of shipping make it an ideal time (in the snake's mind) to get rid of that extra bulk that its carrying around.

Translation : Your not getting the breeders name because your acting like a lunatic. If you acted more like a calm adult they would be more apt to give you his name.

Why won't you give them a copy of the vet report?
